Does every thing I like in a tv in a little space .

Shortly after purchasing this television I noticed a defect in the screen that affected the picture. I went to Best Buy to see if I could return/exchange it and was told I would have to contact the manufacturer since it had been more than 15 days from date of purchase. I contacted Samsung who instructed me to call and email pictures to a their local TV repair shop. The repairman told me the TV had a bad panel and to bring it in for repair . . . free of charge. I was not happy with the idea of repairing a brand new TV, especially, since it was a manufacturers defect. Samsung refused to replace it, and would only offer to repair it. After dealing with their rude repairman, awful customer service department, and defective product . . . I will NEVER buy/recommend any Samsung product. I was sure to let Samsung's Executive Customer Service Department know this . . . and they don't seem to mind. I was so disgusted with the whole situation I would rather buy a new TV than deal with them . . . and I am not sure I will getting it at Best Buy. I had informed Best Buy of the difficulty I was having with Samsung and was told "I am sorry you are having such a hard time, good luck with everything".

I love this smart television I can watch YouTube and Netflix from this television and I really glad to have it,,

Purchased this particular model on BestBuy Official website on Nov.28th, 2016. Roughly a month a ago, carefully unbox it, and examined and tested it if there was any problem. Immediately, notice picture defect on screen, there is always a shape of a half sphere shadow appear on the bottom of the screen. Report this right away to customer care, the guy on the other line decided he does not like his job, just hung up abruptly, totally wasted the time I spent on the phone going through the process by given the info. regarding the product. Call a second time, better customer representative, went through the same test run procedures. Follow their instruction by sending them the pictures, then hear nothing. I then realized there are lots of return products on this model.. do not know the exact reasons. My guess is that the reason couldn't be far from what I had.

I purchased the TV in December 2015 with the factory installed firmware version 1420, the HDMI ports were not working. The TV did not find an update over wifi so I downloaded version 1432.0 from Samsung's website onto a USB Flash Drive. Copy paste the link below into your web browser's address bar, scroll down halfway on the page and change 'view all' to 'firmware' at the right next to the downloads option to reveal the update download ('upgrade file') and the instructions ('firmware update user manual') links: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/UN32J5500AFXZA The instructions are straightforward. Download took about 30 minutes, install from the USB Drive onto TV went pretty fast. Otherwise it's a great TV for the money, don't get discouraged by the update requirement.

Was super excited to get my tv that I purchased in store. When I got home and unpacked everything, set it up and turned it on, but when I turned it in the frame of the tv was off, and you could see the background through the frame. So I went back and exchanged it for another one, same one. I thought it could just be the one off. Opened the new one and lo and behold! The screen was shattered! So I can't really give an honest rating because I just returned the tv overall. I couldn't bring myself to exchange it for the same one again, and do another exchange/return.

Just amazed at how light this TV is. Initial set up was a breeze and found that the menus are user friendly and easy to navigate. Linked right up wirelessly with my router and a couple of passwords later had Amazon Video and Netflix sighted in. Picture quality is excellent in HD and very good in non HD. Blu-ray is very sharp and colors are popping. You will have to tweak the adjustments a few times to get it to your preference, but easy enough to do. Out of the box, the settings were good. Sound is decent. I use this set in my home office along with my computer and have it hooked up to an Onkyo sound system. Plays very nice and straightforward hook up with optical. I like it!

This TV is the right size for the bedroom, loaded with features and inexpensive for a full HD smart TV. Really like the feature of connecting a wireless keyboard, makes searches and browsing the internet a breeze. It has more inputs than almost anything in its size and price range.

Bought 4000 series Samsung TV before Christmas at fave go-to (Co$tco). Price only $50 less. Pic washed out and ill defined. EZ return. Checked all BB reviews for 32" (kitchen wall). Went to BB, salesperson highly recommended THIS 5000 series model ($70 less at Christmas than today's price) and explained that series numbers good indication of release date of TV. Took home, mounted on wall with Sanus (small square, $39 @ T@rget) as extendable 32-60 we got at BB looked awful. Metal arms do not collapse all the way down to be hidden and on 32" TV they stuck out 8-12 inches beyond TV. Tacky! We love sharp contrast and perfect color saturation. Blacks are BLACK, colors true to life. Almost looks like picture jumping off screen. Note, we have new Samsung cell phones, a tablet, and much larger (older) Samsung flat screen (3× price) that's really nice but NOT as beautiful a pic as THIS one. Family over for Christmas kept commenting on amazing picture and couldn't believe it was UNDER $300

I bought this TV to use as a monitor and I do not regret it! I went into the store to see which TV had the best picture quality and this model stood out. The picture is beautiful and text is crisp. Obviously, a true monitor will provide a sharper text image but in all seriousness, this TV does an amazing job. It is very light and can be mounted or moved easily. It is an added bonus that its a smartTV. Originally, I didn't really care if the TV I bought was a smartTV however, now I'm so happy that I bought a TV with this capability since it increases the efficiency of my set-up allowing me to watch Netflix or Hulu during study breaks. The processor is really fast in this TV so using the SmartTV functions are seemless! This is an amazing product!

I purchased this in a hurry when the flat screen TV in my bedroom failed. I looked online for options and honed in on several on sale on the Best Buy web site. I reviewed the options with an IT guy at work and settled on this one. I couldn't be happier. I went into the store to purchase, and although I had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to help me, the process was smooth. The salesperson answered my questions, and there were plenty in stock. It was much lighter than its predecessor, and easy to set up. Am especially delighted with the new-to-me feature of having several viewing options available without having to use an additional box (e.g. Netflix, Hulu)

Tv works great but poor picture when I brought it home and hooked it up. Found out my satellite hookup was so old I was not getting HD programming and had to update the dish and box. Great picture now. I am sure the more expensive sets give even better picture but for $329 and what may well be considered an entry level Samsung Smart tv it has a great picture. Also smart tv and internet connection wireless with a web browser and bluetooth and 3 hdmi's and 2 usb's this tv has a lot of connectivity and the Samsung name. There is a lot of value here for the money. TV was bought to replace a bedroom tube tv that went bad and is a good bedroom size-Russ

This is my first HD/Smart TV, a bit on the smallish size but is perfect for the room/space I have available. It was very easy to connect and set up, and much of the menus are clear and self-explanatory. The picture and sound quality is excellent. I haven't used many of the 'smart' features yet, but everything I've tried so far was easy to figure out adn use. When I feel the need to expand to a larger screen I will certainly consider purchasing another Samsung HD/Smart TV.

This is a nice looking TV. A good size if you don't have a big space or for a small room on a table. Good picture. Good sound quality. I like the smart features (although I wish I didn't need a separate remote to use them). It's energy efficient. It's easy to use and understand even for those who are not technologically inclined but lots to play with for those that are. I did a lot of research comparing and contrasting the different TVs in this size and this one came out the winner. So far, I'm happy with my decision.

Tv does all its supposed to do. Set up is a breeze, operation is simple, and picture is sharp and clear. Love the smart aspect, and it has enough inputs. Sound is flat (no pun intended!) but listening through a home system is great. Good price for so many features.

I am very thrilled with my Samsung LED Smart TV! Once it was put together, it was easy to set up and I was watching TV in no time. I haven't bought a TV in years, so I'm enjoying all the cool features. I love playing music from my iPhone on the TV. The display is clear and sharp. The directions that come with the TV's assembly are not that great though. Very unclear. I basically put it together through trial and error. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a fine TV, with a full HD resolution, and has many apps (it's a SMART TV). It's light-weight, installs with a few cables, and connects via WiFi to the Internet with no difficulty. The picture itself is bright and sharp, and the on-screen menu permits tweaking it easy. All in all, a good TV for a good price.

This is a great TV for smaller rooms. I already had the 720p 32" Samsung which is very good, but doesn't even compare to this picture quality in a side by side test. I'm also quickly becoming a SMART TV Fan with the many user friendly features, such as the TV Guide and Apps (using your WIFI or Ethernet Cable Connection). This 5500 Series has clean styling features when compared to the other basic TV's. Using it's 'Chrome' stand or wall mount, this one Looks and Sounds excellent.
