Overall a good monitor if you can get it for a decent price. I got mine for around $460. Pros: *Amazing Color (I know some Samsung products tend to over saturate the colors but this monitor looked great if your getting this monitor for video and photo editing it really does look great. The monitor covers I think all of the dcip3 color space) *Refresh rate is a plus. (It can be a little hard to find a monitor in 21:9 aspect ratio at 165hz) *Availability *Bang for buck. (At $460 it has some pretty good features, read spec sheet for most) Cons: *Smeared Darks (It's a little harder to explain this one, but I play a lot of tarkov. It's a dark game and when I'm looking into a black and grey corner the details almost completely disappear) *Fake HDR (It says it supports HDR but in reality it just excepts HDR signals. The HDR on this monitor looks worse than the SDR. NOT SAYING THE SDR LOOKS BAD. Just that the HDR looks awful) *Vesa mount on the back is a little too high for some mounts. (My mount in particular is an arm mount that attaches to my desk. Because the vesa mount on the monitor is so high is sags down at the bottom. I would suggest a heavier duty monitor arm) *Freesync premium. (Now I know this may seem like it should be a pro. But it's just a bummer because in my instance I have a rtx 3080. Most freesync premium monitors at least are compatible with g-sync but this monitor in my experience was not. Although I didn't have any issues with screen tearing or latency) Overall a good monitor for the price. The curve is a little aggressive at 1000R but really not a bad curve for the size.

Bought mine open box, and it is flawless. No scratches or dead pixles at all. The monitor itself is exactly what you would expect in it's price point, crisp clean visuals and high quality materials. I would say the price point is high, which is why I bought mine open box, but if you do a lot of tasks that an ultra wide would benefit, this is a good option. The only gripe I have is that it is so expensive. There are plenty of other ultra wides that would serve the same function for less. The price does get you the 165 frames that you want when gaming, and the screen does get brighter than necessary, while giving good contrast with the hdr. Overall would not buy again, but not regretting my purchase at all.

165hz is amazing however, be prepared to dedicate some time getting it setup. Turning on some options turns others off so it takes awhile to find a good overall picture. The curve is great and it's plenty bright enough. I mounted mine because the stand is terrible. In fact, I wouldn't have purchased this monitor if I had to use the supplied stand.

I've only had this monitor for a couple weeks and I love it. The quality is so clear. I love the curved screen for immersion gaming but its also nice if you're working. You don't have to rotate your head back and forth like if you were using 2 screens. And lots of space if you want to have your email up on half the screen and use the other half for a different task. Only issue was that it did not come with an HDMI cord, it came with a display port, which doesn't exist on my laptop so I had to purchase an HDMI to be able to use it. Some day I'll have a desktop and that wouldn't be an issue. So it won't effect my star rating.

We recently purchased the Samsung 34” Odyssey G5 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. The picture is incredibly clear, making everything look crisp and vibrant. The 34” width is perfect, providing an immersive experience without feeling overwhelming. The refresh rate of 165Hz ensures smooth gameplay, and the 1ms response time makes a noticeable difference in fast-paced games. The quality of this monitor is truly amazing. My husband has had a hard time finding a monitor that meets his needs, but this one fits perfectly. We're confident this is the one that will stay. Highly recommend it to any gamer looking for a top-notch monitor!

Great picture. The curve is really comfortable on your eyes. Haven’t had any issues with any of the games I play. The stand is very cheap and flimsy. The button takes some getting used to and accessing the ports on the back with this flimsy stand is a bit precarious at best. Overall not a bad gaming monitor.

I started a remote job in the last month or so and this monitor has been invaluable to my ability to do my job efficiently. I used to juggle several windows on a 17" laptop screen, and now I have 34" of ultrawide monitor so I can open 3-4 static windows and have room for more on top of that. So much better. I haven't had a chance to play many games on it, but I'm hoping to soon. I'm sure it will be a great experience. This is my first curved monitor and my second 34" ultrawide and I love it. Samsung (usually) makes great products and this is no exception. The only thing I do not like is the lack of built-in speakers.

Upgraded from LG IPS ultrawide 1080p to this Samsung VA Ultrawide and experience is mixed. I like the increased screen real estate and curve makes gaming more enjoyable. What i don't like is the narrow viewing angle. When watching movies, the color changes even with slight shift in viewing position. Also, the text clarity is not as good as my 24inch 1080p ips monitor. It also takes longer to turn it on or off.

Bought this for its curvature (1000R). It's not used for playing fast motion games but for work, so I can't speak for that. The scrolling text (spreadsheet, browsers) are visibly smoother than a 60Hz monitor. Text are also sharp and color is good. I used a wall mount for the monitor, as I wanted to have clearance under not taking up by the included stand. Ran into an issue of monitor couldn't power / resume after going into sleep (removed laptop). Took many tries over couple of hours, but end it up able to get display showing after unplugging for more than couple of minutes and click the "joystick" twice. Manual said only click once.

This is my first curved monitor and now I think I want another one to give the full wrap around view. The screen quality is excellent and 165 Hz is great for gaming. Love the joystick menu system, very easy to navigate when changing from PC to laptop for work.

Great screen to use as a second monitor for work. Allows for numerous documents to be open at the same time with the ability to see them. My only dislike per se is the toggle on the bottom of the screen to turn screen on and off and to make screen adjustments. I also haven't figured out how to move the screen up or down for better viewing depending on where I am sitting.
