The absolute best
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing picture quality. High refresh rate, no input latency AND the best picture quality?! No brainer. Get it. Its an OLED gaming monitor that doubles as a smart tv with a remote and speakers built in!

Great monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great monitor. The big thing I like is the instant response times. I came down to the 175 refresh from 240 and it seems fast because of the response times. Something to note is there are more pixels on this monitor so even though the refresh is lower it won’t run as high on some graphics cards (I have 4090 and 13900k) than a 16/9 with the same settings. The 21/9 is more to push. Therefore with the better response times it balances out with my setup. I recommend if you can get it on sale.

A Steal If You Can Get It Open Box
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was deciding between this monitor and a glossy ASUS 27" WOLED monitor. I ordered both and ended up keeping this one. Main reasons for that being the ultra wide aspect, price, and smaller stand size. Picture wise they were very similar, I'd say the ASUS had a slight advantage in brightness but it was minimal and you wouldn't notice unless they were side by side. HDR, color, all very similar. The ASUS did have a higher refresh rate, but truthfully I didn't notice much difference between 175hz and 240hz. The 34" curved ultra wide display of this monitor was a big advantage from the flat 27" of the ASUS. You wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference but it really does. You just have so much more screen real estate, it's really nice. The stand on this monitor is also pretty minimal in size, it doesn't take up much space on your desk which was a big pro for me. All the other monitors I looked at or tried had these huge stands that took up so much space, it seemed inefficient. Price wise this was also the cheapest OLED monitor I looked at thanks to the open box pricing I got. For around $400 via an open box deal it's simply impossible to beat this monitor. I highly recommend it at that price. Only negative I have is that the built in smart TV like software is a bit obtrusive at first since it makes you go through a setup process. It is a nice to have feature though for sure, especially if you were to use this in say, a dorm room. You could have your monitor and TV be the same device and save some room. Overall highly recommended if you can get it for the open box price.

It's more of a 4.5 than a 4
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, I'll be the first to admit this was a seldom researched impulse buy that I got because it was slightly cheaper than the LG of a similar class... And I thankfully don't regret it! The display does have its qualms, but for the most part its a really nice experience overall. PROS: -Beautiful display. Perhaps it's just my eyes going from a TN and VA panel to OLED, but the colors pop and the blacks are definitely black -GOOD BASE! I was pleasantly surprised by how stable and low profile the base actually is. It's weighty, but out of the way -Settings offer a great amount of adjustment to no impact on gameplay, so enjoy finely tuned visuals with no screen tearing or stuttering -HDR is nice, but I rarely use it because game support is weird with it -The curve is spot on at my sitting distance (about 2.75 feet) and doesn't feel excessive or disorienting CONS -It's a monitor that's trying to be a TV. I want something to game on that looks clean and runs smooth. The OS installed makes navigating the menu slow and stiff, especially when going between different inputs. My monitor doesn't need its own cloud gaming section, or a netflix button on the remote (oh yeah, it has a remote when every other monitor is smart enough to auto sleep and wake). A joystick nav on the backside would have been more than enough and somehow less of a headache. -Anything that isn't ultrawide is supported, the monitor offers 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios... but it doesn't swap automatically. That's a con for me. -All of the ports on the back are either mini or micro HDMI/Display port. You need all new cables. THANKFULLY it comes with one in the box, so you only need extras for every other device you hook up. -Games running in 16:9 just look... weird. I don't know if it's my switch or the monitor, but its almost like something is overcompensating the colors on it and it looks... awful? Sometimes? Overall I do think it's worth it as one of the cheaper OLED options out rn, especially if you're in dire need of an upgrade. Just know it has it's kinks and frustrations. PC Specs: Ryzen 9 5900x EVGA RTX 3080 Plenty of M.2 storage Plenty of Hard drive space Too much RAM

Wonderful monitor, worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding picture with vibrant colors and very bright. Inky blacks and ultra fast response times make it a dream for gaming. Included software on the monitor is fantastic too, and includes a rechargable remote. My only con would be VRR causing noticable flickering at lower refresh rates while gaming.

Excellent visuals!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful screen and decent refresh rate for non-competitive gaming. Small downside is the micro adapters/wires that are necessary if using more than 1 displayport wire, however plenty of decent ones online for fair price. Additional downside is text base writing. Not really noticeable but eventually you’ll believe text is ‘fuzzy’ looking, but this is just the nature of the diode configuration of the QD-OLED display. Ending on a great note, hdr and visuals for videos and games are anazing. Couldnt say anything bad about it! If you are looking for impactful visuals, this is definitely a competitor.

Excellent for work and gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monitor has great color and the speakers sound good. It has plenty of features and I've had a great experience gaming on it. Excellent for work if you need side by side full pane browsers or doing Notepad++ compares,. Pros: -Good sound -Great picture.. I can't emphasize this enough... Go look at one at your BestBuy... -Side-by-side view for 2 computers (though see cons) -You can view media directly from the monitor -Remote PC connection option -Included remote, while a bit cumbersome when it comes to the menu, is nice - Curvature 1800R Cons: -Software asks to do maintenance on a popup in the middle of the screen at random times, even during gaming (at least by default, I haven't discovered a way to schedule this - I'll be researching this more) -Side by site view is limited to screen mirror+cable (you can't have 1 hdmi and 1 usb-c) and you can't full screen each half, it has limited real estate on the screen instead of truly taking up half (I've tried different resolutions and the box on the screen stays the same...) -Uses micro hdmi instead of regular -Switching inputs is a pain as you have to go into the menu (when using the remote) The loss of a star has to do with the random popups to do maintenance (as this has happened several times during gaming) and the cumbersome menu if you decide to use the remote. I don't use the 2 connections feature due to the lack of screen real estate. If I can find a way to fix that and to schedule the updates during non-gaming and non-work hours, this is easily a 5 star monitor. These really should have been fixed during a setup wizard That being said with the cons it's still the best monitor I've used. I felt the 49 was a little too big for me and it's a heavy beast, this one was the perfect size and weight.

The real next gen upgrade for PC gamers

Beautiful monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great monitor if you are looking for an ultra wide 1440p monitor. The colors are rich and contrast is amazing due to it being oled. This is one of the better qd oled monitors available at the moment.

Great Looking Monitor with Issues
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor truly does look very good. The Oled screen is crisp and performs well. But the software issues are holding back this 1.5K monitor. Positives + OLED really shines when gaming. + 120, 144hz refresh rates are great + Not internal fan (unlike some similar AW models) Negatives - Software is slow to respond - Monitor has trouble waking up from sleep (I often have to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in to get it to recognize the signal). I just don't let it go to sleep anymore, which seems problematic with it being OLED. - It will sometimes just lose signal when switch tabs and freeze up the computer *It is being ran by a 4090 with the latest drivers* The bottom line: When the monitor is working it is amazing; however, a bunch of small quirks make this monitor frustrating to use. For 1.5k you shouldn't have to settle. I kept it only because in this form factor (1440p UW OLED) it was the best I could do at the time. The AW (Alienware) models had internal fans which I found annoying.

Great Image Quality, Not So Good Software
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing image quality from the monitor but it uses software designed for a TV. Be mindful that if you are using this with more than one source the experience of switching between them is a bit clumsy.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly one of the better screens I’ve ever had. I actually came from a 4K monitor and I’m glad I transitioned into 2K Oled. This is probably the best screen I’ve ever had. Honestly it makes everything better. I will say tho, it’s not made for movies or shows. Although it’s not a big deal for me, because it still looks great, if you’re looking for a monitor for watching this isn’t it. Although I also have a Samsung 4K tv so I can’t be mad. WOULD BUY AGAIN

Brilliant Display Marred by Poor QC
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The display itself is phenomenal. Both SDR and HDR content looks amazing and you only need to change two settings to make HDR color accurate (it's oversaturated out of the box). The "smart" features are also useful, allowing the monitor to double as a TV. Why am I only giving it three stars then? Well... Outside of the overuse of micro ports, the OLEG G8 has a widespread problem with coil whine that rears its ugly head in dark scenes, and my unit has been no exception. Knocking off two starts and saying Buyer Be Ware for this reason. If you get lucky and there's no whine, this is a 5/5 monitor, but the quality control lets it down majorly and I can't recommend it due to the high likelihood of getting a unit with this issue.

Pretty good monitor if you like wide screens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality is amazing, god oled is so worth it but the wide aspect of the monitor isn’t my jam. I probably just don’t like wide screen, great for modern movies tho. Also the smart set up is awful. Everything else was nice
