The pan sizes are good and i like the "lock" feature so it can't mistakenly be turned on by accidental touch. The sensitivity to turn it up and down with your finger could be a little better but overall no real complaints.

Bought 2 months ago, waiting for my kitchen update to be complete. Installed on 60th day from purchase . Does not work. Samsung service could not help us and best buy (who lost a customer wont refund exchange or offer a replacement. Absolutely run from this product. Best buy sucks also!

Stove top seems to have a mind of its own (turns all burners off for no apparent reason, gives errors, etc.) and if you have any liquids that spill onto the stove top it freaks out and starts generating different error codes. I have a feeling that the electronics are faulty or are not properly shielded because why else would water or liquid on the top surface cause the electronics to freak out. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone and will not buy again. Thank god I purchased the 5 year protection plan.

In addition, Best Buy had this model in stock, which made it the clear winner. After we begin using it, I'll have to update the review. Kudos to Best Buy for having appliances in stock!

Getting used to the touch surface instead of knobs. have to learn not to try to wipe the surface when cooking. It's easy to turn off the elements.

The controls are very difficult to use as they are not responsive. It takes several attempts to turn the heat up or down. The cooktop turns itself off when it gets "too hot"... difficult to cook a pot of soup. Twice I tried and every time I walked away, the cooktop would turn off. Per manufacturer's guide, this is normal. Luckily, Best Buy was easy to work with and they are replacing the unit with another brand.

Discolored burner and ruined cookware

After verifying with both Calphalon and Samsung that these pots and pans were not only compatible but “recommended”. The cooktop interacted with the pans and actually melted them. I bought this cooktop along with a full set of Samsung appliances for my kitchen. I have been disappointed in EVERY appliance I bought. From the fridge, to the dishwasher to the microwave and finally this cooktop. Samsung should be ashamed to market this garbage.
