A week in and I’m still starting to get used to cooking with an induction cooktop. It does heat up quickly and evenly. I like the flame lights to tell me it’s being used. It is not fingerprint resistant. Wiping it down after cooking is easy.

So far my husband and I like the cooktop. It is sleek and a breeze to clean. Though we have pots and pans that are compatible with induction cooking, the front right burner does not recognize the size of a couple of our pots; therefore, we have to move those pots to either the back right burner or the front left flex burner.
We noted other reviews that indicate the units sometimes have problems after about 4 years. We are trying to avoid over heating the elements by using silicone trivets between the pans and the stove top. This works well with the cast iron, but not as well with the stainless steel pots and pans.

The unit far exceeded my expectations. However the sales person said it would work with both convection and induction. This was a mis-representation of the unit and false. The sales person did not know what they were talking about. Bravo for the unit! No stars and negative review for Best Buy and the sales person!

This Samsung unit replaces a 10+ year old induction kitchenaid and how technology has advanced since then. "watched water" boils super fast and having the blue light intensity match the heat level may seem gimmicky, but it really does add a nice touch if your pans are polished.
The magnetic knob to adjust the temperature is useful, but not at all needed. Just make sure you don't accidentally toss it out with the box because it is small and easily missed.
Using the griddle feature to make pancakes is a breeze for how large the surface area is too. I've noticed other pots and pans I've used in the past seem to heat up a lot quicker too. Not sure if that is the better elements in this one or a sign of how faded my old cooktop was.
Be warned though, this beast does require a 50 amp breaker (I think manual says 48, but I don't think those exist). So check your circuit panel before ordering because a 50 amp breaker can't (shouldn't!) use 40 amp wiring.
Also, while this is listed as a 36" cooktop, measure your existing opening carefully. This is a very 'compact' 36" and I had to add some structure to my existing countertop so this one wouldn't fall through the hole. All totaled less than $60 in hardware and was well worth it.

Works great, use daily. Induction is the way to go. Very fast and even heating. Almost all my pans carried over. I wish the interface was different. They need to put the controls in the lower corner and "select zone" then "select power setting". The sliding circle is flawed, especially when cooking and water/grease particles register false touches. Glad to have but a redesign of controls would make it perfect.

We had a GE model for 5 years until it quit working. This new Samsung model has better control interface and does heat quicker.
I do notice that there is a couple second delay before heat seting adjusts. The GE did not have this issue. Once water starts to boil over pot, you need to adjust temp and lift pot for a second. With our old GE, i didn't remember this issue; temp adjustments we immediate.

This is a wonderful cooktop and can boil water faster then any cooktop I have had. A bit of a bummer that some of my pans no longer work though. I do recommend a good cleaner for it. Also watch boiling water as it will boil over quickly. Also just a learning curve note I guess but do not clean with a damp cloth as you are cooking as it will send it into a default error and shut it down.

We have an older Samsung induction cooktop in our home, which we love.
This is for a vacation home.
The issue with this one is, like almost all induction cooktops now, it does not have knobs. I have numb fingers, which makes it difficult. While this has one knob it is difficult for me to use. It is magnetic thus making it harder to control.

Induction cooking takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you will never want to go back to resistance coils. Pans heat up faster and the cooking is much more even. This cooktop looks great, too. I love having a smooth, uninterrupted surface for cleaning. Looks great, too.

Great stove, heats up quickly and is easy to clean.
My only con is I can’t seem to find certain pots and pans compatible to this stove.
Oh, & The knob feels pointless as it doesn’t really work well, but I can just use my finger at the least.

We love this induction cook top. It is fast to heat up and does not stay hot to the touch. It can boil water incredibly fast. It took a little getting used to and we had to clean out our pots and pans that were not compatible. We love the clean look and the capability to store the single knob when not in use.

Excellent product. Heats up crazy fast and look incredible. Its noisier than I expected. You can hear a humming sound that louder on high heat. My only gripe is it didn't come with the manuals and magnetic knobs.
