I purchased this dryer to replace the GE version of the same unit that I never really liked. This unit looks so much like the GE - it has the same lint filter, and the metal housing looks identical. However, this one performs so much better. The clothes actually dry in a single cycle, and large objects, like blankets, don't wad up in a ball like they did in the GE. I have no idea what's different, but this is a huge upgrade. Consumer Reports gave it top marks for a reason!

The capacity isn't too bad 4.0 but the drying cycle settings are too long. I selected "allergen" cycle and it said 2 hours! I select other cycles and it's an hour+ and it still comes out with some dampness. Why does it take so long to dry? Those are my issues with these compact machines.

Love it, smaller, but still handles my regular loads!

Towels require at least 3 cycles on dry sensing, timed dry is minimum 2 hours for 4 towels. During winter months this machine struggled mightily to dry another other than tshirts and light clothing. Hoodies, sweaters, etc expect to dry several times. The drying sensor is useless so all the settings are pointless. Have to use timed dry every time. Would not recommend this dryer to anyone. PS Samsung make a pedestal for your smaller washer dryer units please!!

I purchased this product because I needed a compact stackable washer dryer (which seems like its optimal market) and paid a premium for the small size. The dryer barely worked out of the box, and the heating element broke within 7 months (which is a common problem based on reviews). But Samsung REFUSES to fix any stacked washer/dryers under their warranty so I had to pay out of pocket to fix their bad product since a stacked washer/dryer is "optional." Worst customer service experience of my life, especially given all of Samsung's issues with phones and washers. Never buy a samsung appliance if you want good warranty coverage or service!

I had to replace the bearing in under the 4 years of owning this dryer. they would rust and get squeaky. Would it really hurt Samsung to put a seal over the bearing to keep moisture out of it.

Not a good product, dryer is not great, can only take small loads, and takes a long time to dry. I bought two of these, and they both squeak terribly after a couple of years.

4 years in, it starts to make noises, I had to spend money for technicians to fix. My other LG dryer didn't have an issue for 10+ years.

I have purchased this dryer with its matching washer for its size because normal size dryer did not fit to pass thru stairs for 5 BR apt. As soon as everyone in the apt. start using it my monthly electric bill went up extra $100. I get that it is too many people using it but it should not really cause this much hike in electric bill. It has been 3.5 years, so that makes it extra $4,200 electric bill out of pocket. Huge regret!

Love this dryer! Lots of options for settings! Would advise a platform riser.

Bad dryer !!! The time goes up and down . It says 12 minutes remaining , you came back in 10 minutes and the times has changed to 20 minutes remaining . The clothes is not totally dry . A shirt can have one sleeve dry and the other is not totally dry . It is a disaster !!!! Do not buy it !!!!

I have only had the dryer for a few days. So far it works fine, unfortunately, the Best Buy website has misinformation. It says the dryer has steam function, however, it does not.

This dryer has had multiple problems. Problem #1: Just before warranty ended it started this horrible loud screeching sound. I tried contacting Samsung as it was under warranty, but they dragged their feet responding, came back with "send a video of it acting like that", did and their website had issues uploading video files, again they dragged their feet and by the time they said a service tech would look at it the warranty ended. Just have to deal with the awful squeeling sound all the time. Problem #2: The entire drum was wobbling all over. One of the roller wheels that holds the drum in place fell off. Needed to hire someone to replace it, and he said a second was on its last leg. Problem #3: Heat element just stopped working and needed to be replaced. Another couple hundred bucks dumped into repairs. Problem #4: Felt gasket on the back of the drum fell out. Now grease from the roller wheels stains clothes. So yeah, many problems, warranties not addressed until its too late (on purpose I'm sure), spent half the value of the drier cost in added repairs, and clothes ruined. Will never buy another laundry product from Samsung again.

Works fine. The drying options are good. No complaints.DO want to rave about the courtesy and efficiency of the installers.

Purchased new dryer in October and it wasn't working by November. Samsung has been out to repair but couldn't. I'm now awaiting a second repair visit and they're not even sure if this will fix it. I'm questioning if I was actually sent a new machine as the delivery people brought it into the house already out of the box. 1. not working 2. it was delivered with door opening to the right and delivery people wouldn't switch it. I thought door would open to the left, per the photo 3. I ordered the pedestal but delivery people said the pedestal wouldn't fit so told me to refuse the order. Not sure why online sold it as an accessory if it doesn't actually fit. 4. Washer was delivered without a part so I had to call samsung to get the part shipped and install it myself 5. the online order automatically adds some accessories which the delivery people said weren't needed. again, not sure why they're added to begin with. Overall it's been a frustrating experience for over a month. I am not going to purchase from Best Buy again.

I got the product that I wanted at a price that was good for me. I put it in my basket yesterday and I went to go pay for it today and they had it $80 more than I wanted to pay. They lost a sale and a customer.

its impossible to set the controls the way you like it. you have to use their preset ones.on normal most of the clothes won't be dry. If you would like it to go longer but at a lower temp it wont allow that. i'm guessing that most if not all are like that but i dont like it. also the lint trap is very difficult to open to clean hence i don't clean it each time as i was used to.

Takes multiple runs to dry clothes. Terrible machine

Broke after one year of use, sounds like a bomb is going off. Do not buy. Repair man says drum went bad after less than a year and is 700 to repair.
