Can't beat it for $149! The remote you have to toggle the volume controls up and down, even though they appear that you just push them. I liked this with my Toshiba Fire 55" and the sound is 3x better now. I have another set for my computer room too.

If you follow the instructions and link everything properly, the sound is amazing. I may have to change this system to my living room and switch surround systems around since I like this one even better than my other system. We'll see. This system has several surround sound settings if you keep pressing the surround sound button on remote. It also has adjustable subwoofer settings. The surround rear speakers play in all modes except the standard setting option. I really like this system. Impressive. Last task is to get my cable, tv, and surround remotes in unison so I don't have to keep switching remotes to control tv volume and off/on etc..

Getting the TV remote to control the sound bar still not so good. It has a nice sound but could use a bit more bass. One silly thing is the 1-100 volume control. 100 is too many. Not having a way to control the volume for the rear speakers is a minor set back.

Rear Speakers NOT working

I’m very sorry for the difficulties you’ve experienced with your Soundbar’s setup. We completely understand your frustrations, and we are here to help.
When powered on for the first time, the rear speakers and subwoofer should automatically connect wirelessly. If the auto-connection process fails, you can try manually connecting the rears to the soundbar.
To manually setup the wireless rear speaker kit included with the soundbar if the auto connection process fails, first use the color-coded speaker wires to connect the rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. Plug the wireless receiver module power cord into an electrical outlet and into the wireless receiver module to turn on the wireless receiver module.
Turn off your soundbar and press the Up button on the remote for 5 seconds. The ID SET message will appear on the soundbar for a short time and then disappear. After the ID SET process, the soundbar power is automatically turned on. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the soundbar and the wireless receiver module.

Would definitely buy again for a mid-size room or smaller. There are some cons: Did not auto pair to surround speakers or subwoofer, directions are clumsy at best. There was no instructions at all to help us navigate through surround modes or settings.

Super easy to set up and I also bought Samsung TVs as well and they go great together. I have had no issues with the subwoofer losing Bluetooth connection. I also want to point out that the rear speakers are wired they are not Bluetooth. With having a Samsung tv the setup was easy as I said before. The use of one remote is also nice. I set both of my soundbars and speakers up without ever pulling out the instructions. I also figured out what settings I wanted as well without them.

I had to move my traditional surround system out of the living room due to its size. I was worried that i would be disappointed with a smaller ststem, but this one sounds really good, especially for the price. I selected the bass boost mode and it makes everything sound better even the rear speakers. And the wireless feature is great!

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-A470 and for sharing your feedback regarding the setup and connection issues. I’m very sorry for the difficulties you’ve experienced with your Soundbar’s setup. We completely understand your frustrations, and we are here to help.
When you turn the power on after connecting the power cables to the Soundbar subwoofer, and rear speakers, the subwoofer and rear speakers are automatically connected to the Soundbar. When auto pairing is complete, the blue indicators at the rear of the subwoofer and the transmitter module turn on.
If the auto-connection fails, you can manually connect the subwoofer and rears to the soundbar. Before performing the manual connection procedure, check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly and make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.
Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.
To setup the wireless rear speaker kit included with the soundbar, first use the color-coded speaker wires to connect the rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. Plug the wireless receiver module power cord into an electrical outlet and into the wireless receiver module to turn on the wireless receiver module.
