To start, and this is more to do with Best Buy than the actual dryer, the guys who "installed" the dryer, seemed to do an awesome job and we tipped them well as they were fast and easily moved 2 bulky old machines for us. They also taped up the trap door on the bottom that they likely broke and cracked the dial on the washer. I thought, at first it was where the plastic ended until I went to take the plastic piece off and noticed it didnt exist. Upon closer inspection, they taped shut the little door on the bottom of the machine because it will not stay closed without it. So they know they did it. But whatever, with three kids it will likely get broken eventually anyway, and none of the damage would impact performance. First thing I noticed is not much water goes into the machine. Making me skeptical about how clean the clothes were getting but I put on an extra rinse, and that is what being low efficiency is all about right? Any clothes started coming out still smelling like worn clothes, but it didnt seem too bad and I really hate to complain and really do not want to deal with this, I just hoped it would go away, like maybe the machine just needed to warm up or something. Well my 5 year old wets the bed sometimes and I got his clothes in first thing this morning and my fiance asked me to smell it and they still smell like urine. The cycle we are using now BTW is the one that takes 3 hours! This machine is terrible, and I dont know how anyone could recommend it after using it for awhile.

We purchased a front load washer two months ago and it is now broken. The machine stalls out before it gets to the spin cycle and will not complete the wash. I sent in a service ticket online which was frustrating in itself. You have to upload a RECEIPT in order to submit the ticket. However, after trying a Word doc, pdf and then trying to shrink a pdf the file was "too large" to submit. As a last ditch effort, I took a picture of my computer screen and uploaded that instead. We were contacted for an explanation of the issue and then were told a tech would follow up which he did. They determined there was no one in the area to repair the washer and that we would be issued an exchange/store credit to get a new one. However, they would need a copy of our receipt emailed to them. (Even though you can not submit a ticket without a receipt). We jumped the hoop and emailed the receipt. We then received a phone call that they have not received a receipt and have cancelled our ticket. We call again. Same response. They need a receipt. I email it again and then they give me a number to text it to, which I do. We receive a phone call that our ticket has been cancelled since no receipt was received. I call and have it out with support. He tells me..."You need to submit a receipt by email." No further discussion. He gives me a different email address. I email another receipt and it bounces back because it is a bad email address. Plus, I text it one more time. We then receive ANOTHER phone call that our exchange ticket has been cancelled again due to no receipt. Now I have uploaded, emailed to two different addresses (four times) and texted the receipt. Apparently, modern technology is not part of the Samsung culture. The support staff are barely able to communicate in English and do not care about customer service. Not sure where to go from here. I am now on hold contacting them for the 6th time by phone to probably be told that my receipt was never received. It is B.S. and we still can't wash our clothes. NEVER AGAIN!

Samsung - 4.2 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer - Platinum Should of taken more caution with the negative reviews from other buyers but did not. Washers tub was out of balance and would almost walk out of the laundry when spinning. I have NO complaints with Best Buy or the service I received from the Assistant Manager Mandi or the appliance Mgr Jason. Jason gave me a 800 number to call to have Samsung come look at this unit for defects. I might as well been talking to a wall with the gentleman who I asked for help. If he told me once, he told me a half dozen times " Not Samsungs problem, Set is unlevel, need to call install with Best Buy- they fix problem". Maybe since I am a woman he assumed I didn't know how to read a level- - wrong! I and my husband had put a level on this unit each time it was used and it was perfectly level, but the drum wanted to crash thru the door of the washer. So in my book, yes it was Samsungs problem, not Best Buys! I did what the guy from Samsung told me to do to reset the machine, it didnt help either. I finally gave up and knew I was getting no where with him so I went and talked to Jason. He had the unit picked up and I chose to replace this one with Whirlpool. ( Which works perfect) Thank you Jason. Never again will I go against reviews and buy another Samsung unit. Thank you Best Buy and I will continue to buy from you. I appreciate the help from your two store employees.

AWFUL, BROKE WITHIN 1 YR, CUSTOMER SERVICE AWFUL

My husband and I bought this washer based on the reviews. HUGE MISTAKE. About 7 months into having the washer, it completely stopped working. The drum would no longer spin, and it was useless. "Luckily," we were within the manufacturer's one year warranty. OH MY GOD, SAMSUNG WAS A NIGHTMARE TO WORK WITH.- an incompetent customer service team with a terrible system. Not exaggerating, we had to make 20+ calls, each of which we were referred to someone else, and told the same thing every time, "we will call you in a few days." They sent two separate repairmen out who looked at the machine, shrugged their shoulders, and said they couldn't help. It is now OVER ONE MONTH after we placed the initial claim, and we are still waiting for our refund. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. Faulty product and customer service that was horrendous beyond words.

Two years. 5 calls to Samsung and Best Buy. We remodeled our home and purchased all appliances through Samsung. EVERYTHING! I've made several calls and they have made excuses and told me different things to do everything so that my washing machine (which washes clothes and towels) will stop smelling like mold. Bleach, vinegar and wiping out the build up and draining the water from the machine every two weeks is getting really old. Energy efficient? Who's energy?? Definitely not mine. Do not purchase a front loader and do not purchase a Samsung. Wish we would have gone with another brand. Finally after two years they are sending someone out. If there is a problem they will pay for the service. If there is not a problem I will pay for the service. Ridiculous

I purchased this front loader washing machine model after my 6 year old Samsung front loader model Wf419AAW/XAA 03 was on a spin cycle and began smoking and then caught on fire. I also had rocks build up in the filter which we later found out were parts of the drumb falling apart. I thought to myself well at least I got six years out of my old model I would give the exact new model of my old one a chance. WRONG! This machine is so loud. It sounds just like my six year old machine. I would have thought that it would be quiet six years later. And yes my machine is on a pedastal and leveled on tile flooring. Also the water comes out from around rubber gauges around the frame. I see this as a huge mold scare later as my old model did not have the water come out from the front like this and I did not have to worry about water build up. Also the tray that pulls out to put the detergent in is very flimsy and I can see this breaking if some bumps into it or shuts to hard. Samsung just is not making appliances like they use to. Parts are plastic and for the price you pay you can get so much more in other brands. I exchanged this for a front loader LG and I am so happy now. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG.

    Multiple issues

    3yrs

-Doors opened the "wrong" way for me. Washing machine only opens to the left. Since the washing maching in my house needs to be on the right side, i have to carry the clothes around the doors to the dryer. -MOLD. After a year or so, it started smelling so bad. Omg the mold and mildew. Smells so bad and when i called under the warranty, they said it is a known issue to Samsung, that i should try affresh. Cust svc also hinted some ppl use CLR but that it would corrode parts. Sometimes it will smell like rotten eggs. My towels smell horrible after one use - like a dirty dish rag. They said it's a build up of detergent in between the drums that causes the smell. THat and the mold that forms in the rubber liner for the door. -Inferior cleaning. I never had to use shout or anything to get stains out. Suddenly it's a necessity. I think the cycle needs more water maybe? -Too much maintenance. Why do i have to empty out a nasty filter drawer and put the machine on a self clean cycle once a month (that takes 4 hours) and wipe down the rubber liner after every use? Who has time for that????

Poor Cleaning - But it's Fancy

This is a fairly expensive, and very fancy washer. It has many different cycles to choose from and some pretty fancy options. That said, it does NOT clean your clothes well at all. After watching a few cycles it is easy to see that the poor cleaning is likely a result of very, very low water use. I may have a service representative take a look, but after reading other reviews it appears this is a very common issue and complaint. The Samsung service request form even has a specific option for it. I have now been manually adding 2-3 extra gallons, and can say once it has an appropriate amount of water it does a good job- but it's a huge pain in the butt, and something I shouldn't have to do. Unfortunately, according to Samsung, there is no easy way to increase the water it uses. I would HIGHLY recommend checking other brands or models, or going with a top-loader (probably the best option).

    Not a good washer

I can't describe how dissatisfied I am with this washer. We bought this washer in a rush, we just moved and were unpacking, I didn't had much time to read lots of reviews. Everything is wrong with this washer that's possible : it doesn't spin well on highest spin setting even after balancing it ,clothes comes out too wet and very wrinkled. Bleach stains clothes and still dispenses bleach during second load. Washer smells almost immediately after wash cycle is over. It shows all kinds of errors. I spoke with Best Buy and ask them to refund because unit is not working well , They refused because it was 3 weeks after we bought it ( Best Buy return policy is 14 days). They referred me to the Samsung to service the washer. Samsung told that there is nothing can't be done about smell for this model and they were very hesitant to set up service appointment to check bleach compartment and to service spin problem. I hope they can solve the problem , because its a new unit and should work well .This is my first and last Samsung appliance.

I ordered this set 3 months ago ,because my dryer stopped working suddenly. We received them after 2 weeks and haul away our old set. I put all my kids clothes including their soccer jerseys in first load(cold cycle),when I came back after 3 hours I saw the washer was still running in very hot cycle. They installed the washer in wrong hoses( cold one to hot and hot one to cold) , so it wouldn't stop ( rinse and spin cycle was continued for hours in hot water). I opened it manually and saw all the jerseys got burnt( numbers and logos got melted) and all other clothes also got spoiled. I called the customer service more than 10 times in 2 days to fix this issue, I was always told I'll get call back in 2 hours from escalation center, but I never received one ( it was too tight for us to remove and fix them and I had tons of loads clothes to wash ).They answered back after a week and sent a guy to fix it 2 days later. The guy who fixed this next time said I will get a call about this issue , but I never recieved any call from them.

Very, very disappointing and frustrating. We bought the matching set a little over a year ago. Love the dryer, but the washer has leaked for the last 6 months. It started small and has progressively gotten worse and worse. At this point it takes about 5 full size towels to keep the floor mostly dry while we do a load. Called Samsung and since we were just out of the one year warranty all they could do was give us the name of a repair tech...who charged us $80 to give an estimate and now says it will cost about as much to repair as it will to replace. I asked Samsung about the big "10 YEAR WARRANTY" sticker on the front of the washer and they said that only applies to the direct drive motor, which wouldn't cause a leak. Do. Not. Buy. This. Washer. VERY frustrating. We won't be purchasing Samsung products again.

We bought the samsung washer and after 11 months it broke with code FL and the washer wouldn't lock. It was under warranty so Samsung replaced a defective circuit board at the back of the washer. After a few months it broke again but samsung told us their replacement part was only warranteed for 30 days. The cost to come back out and repair was going to be bout $400. And at this point we've been without a washer for 3 weeks trying to figure out how to deal with this situation. Frankly it's easier to go back to Best Buy and get an LG or whirlpool to replace it and not have to deal with this problem. I will not buy Samsung again.

The Samsung washer was fantastic. Got clothes amazingly clean, has a wide variety of easy-to-use features that make choosing the right cycle simple. We even behaved like folks from a commercial, holding up whites and gushing about how white they were. Then, less than three weeks in, the front seal popped off, leaving the restraining spring cascading around the drum. Spent the better part of several days with Best Buy and Samsung on the line getting Samsung to schedule a repair that still hasn't occurred. Hoping for a good outcome, but very disappointed that it had a failure so early in.

    Shakes the whole house

After purchasing this washer after reading glowing reviews and getting a recommendation from the sales people at Best Buy we were shocked when we ran the first cycle. Despite being perfectly level and on a solid surface (not the basement floor, but upper level wash room) the washer sounded like a rocket preparing for takeoff and shook the entire house. It didn't matter how much laundry we had in the tub; the washer made it impossible to have a conversation in an adjacent room and shook the dishes in our cabinets. So we returned it and tried another with the same results. (The guys at BB suggested we might have gotten a lemon.) Alas, we returned the second unit and went with a top-load Samsung. Couldn't be happier. There's just something off about this particular model.

Purchased this washer (with corresponding dryer) in March of 2015. It's just had a major electronic failure after only two and a half years of light duty - just my wife and I, maybe 3-4 loads a week. The washer no longer fills with water on the normal and heavy duty cycles, the other cycles all work normally. No error message. The unit thinks it has water and starts the washing cycle anyway. I called Samsung, thinking there might be a know bad electronic component. They were no help. Bottom lines: •These appliances are not designed or built to last. •If you buy one, buy the extended warranty. •I will never buy another Samsung appliance of any kind. Better luck if you do buy one or have one!

    Inferior design

I bought this washer two months ago. It starts squeaking right after the purchase. I called Samsung and they sent a contract technician but after looking at it he said Samsung would not replace the machine if the problem is not related to main "washing" function (i.e., the noise coming from front and side metal sheets rubbing each other due to vibration). I talked with BestBuy, and they were nice enough to replace with a new one (the same model). However, the second washer has exactly the same noise problem as the previous one. Compared with a LG front loading washer I owned before, the design/built is clearly inferior. This is my first Samsung and I am very disappointed and dissatisfied.

Let me start by saying this washing machine is awesome, until it breaks. Purchased my washer about 10 months ago and now it wont spin anymore. Called customer support and told them what happened and sent them copies of our receipts showing when we purchased it to show it's still under warranty, but for some reason they are telling me that I purchased it on a different date making it older so the warranty is no longer valid. Not very happy with the customer service that I've got so far and definitely not going to buy anything Samsung again. Beware when buying this product.

This machine is horrible. It will not consistently spin in the spin cycle. Best Buy Geek Squad has looked at this machine twice. They replaced the mother board once, stating that Samsung has had terrible issues with the mother boards. This machine still DOES NOT WORK. I have been dealing with this for weeks and still don't have a machine that works. Best Buy should stop carrying this product until Samsung fixes it. Don't waste your money on this. Samsung customer service is worse that bad. They are offensive to deal with. This is the LAST SAMSUNG PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY. I'm ready to throw this away and chalk it up as a loss and buy something else. TERRIBLE!!!!!!

Washer is suppose to have this fancy Vibration Reduction Technology. Well obviously it doesn't work so well. During the spin cycle the machine turns out to be very noisy. We checked the level/balance of the machine and also tried re-configuring the machine which it does for you after pushing a couple buttons. Needless to say we ended up having to return the product through the manufacture (Samsung) and their customer service and customer support is very unimpressive. After spending hours on the phone with them and had first notified them of the issue 2-3 weeks ago we are still waiting on approval to exchange out our washer.

This washer was purchased in 2014. Stopped working June of 2016 when error code displayed AE6, which according to Samsung service manual means; "A Communication error between the Inverter PBA and the Main PBA, Call customer service". After reading Samsung's poor online customer reviews I decided to forgo a nightmare and replaced this washer with one WITHOUT electronic controls. No more Samsung products for us!
