My first front-loaders
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first front-loading machine, and I chose Samsung because they are highly rated by both Consumer Reports (this particular model didn't rate highest, but still faired better than the standard brands like Kenmore) and by customers who have posted ratings online. I bought the washer and dryer, and I splurged on the storage bins that raise them up (although I DO NOT recommend the storage, there isn't anything that I use that actually fits under them - complete waste of money). Washer Pros: -Musical start/stop (cheeky, but it's cute) -Quieter than I expected -Power button, Start button -Amazingly brilliant with fabric softener (clothes smell better than with the downy ball) -Allows for powdered detergent, recommends liquid -Ease of controls and understanding how to make changes -Water temp options -Easily add an additional spin or rinse cycle -My clothes smell clean -Ability to turn off the musical sounds the unit makes Washer Cons: -YOU MUST let the washer dry after use, before you close the door or it will mildew (I have been washing towels last and wiping up an extra water before dropping them into the dryer) -WAY bigger than expected, don't fit into my standard laundry closet -Storage bins hold nothing practical under the washer -heavily soiled whites didn't get as clean as I'd like in one wash cycle -End of cycle song is a little longer than I need it to be (but silencing the music is easy) Overall, I am not completely sold on front-load washers being more efficient or better in any way except my clothes smell so much better. I do like these, and if I have any experiences of note, I'll update my rating. Best Buy usually has a killer sale on these (I paid $599, then they had them on sale for $579), and I got a price match on a competitor price - which is why I really love Best Buy.

All the necessities
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model does an excellent job cleaning clothes and is very easy to use. Even though it may seem to have a much smaller feature list than the more expensive models, it has many cycles and works well. I noticed a huge improvement in the cleanliness of my clothes. It also seems to do a great job spin drying them as they clothes feel nearly dry when I remove them. The capacity is quite good too.

I love it! It works flawlessly!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been VERY Pleased with the performance of this machine. Spin cycle is tremendous and really cuts down on drying time. All has come out very clean. Large capacity handled queen size comforter, bed spread and sheets as well in the same load. *** IT IS A BIT WIDER THAN LISTED IN THE SPECS! I had to quickly remove the trim from basement stairway & wall to accommodate delivery. Delivery folks did scratch the finish a little when they insisted on carefully trying to carrying/slide it down the stairs rather than using a dolly. Since it sits in basement, scratches were not a real big deal as only I see it. I did receive a small amount of compensation for the scratches & delivery folks were quite apologetic as it happened. This is a TREMENDOUS washing machine!

Love this washer!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We spent hours looking for a washing machine that fit our needs as well as the small space provided since ours had s%#* the bed. We debated buying used and new. And I'm SO glad we bought New! We had it delivered & installed (free of charge) & purchased the 5 year protection plan for 99$. It was well worth the 630$ we paid for the service we got! It's quiet, the only time I hear it run is when it's finished, it plays a quick little tune. There's SO many options, and I'm still learning how to use them as I go. I love that it opens in the front, and one it starts it locks the door, no waters coming out baby! It also tells you how long the cycle is going to take, and you can add an extra spin, you choose the soil level, you can do a quick wash, there's so many benefits. And I love the pull out drawer to add my laundry soap, softener and bleach ! The only concern I have is, I like the in scent boost beads.. And I'm not sure how or if I can add those. Still learning ! Oh, and it has child safety lock (still learning how to use that too) from what I've read you can set it to child safety and it won't change the wash cycle you had it set on, or you can set child safety on and they can't turn it on period until you turn It off. The other feature it has that's amazing is YOU CAN PAUSE YOUR WASH.. YES... you read that right!!! You can literally pause it right in the middle of it's cycle!!! Hit start again and it picks up where it left off.

Great product - great price !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well the day finally came when my old washing machine gave out. I was hoping to get a new energy efficient washer and dryer set. Sticker shock ensued to say the least when I went to look at them...$1500...., $1800..., $2000!!!! To do laundry ???!! Yikes. The ratings I checked said that Samsung and LG where to top two brands to seriously consider. I found this matching pair at a great price about 2 weeks before "Black Friday" and am very pleased with them. They are slick looking, easy to operate, quiet, and hardly use any water....or electricity for that matter! The high speed rinse is my favorite feature. When I do a load of dress shirts it whips them around so fast they are almost dry when they come out... and thus only need about 15 or 20 minutes in the dryer to finish. I am very pleased with this pair and you will be too.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this washer for 4 days and love it! Pretty quiet, cleans well. Love the quick wash setting taking 35 minutes with extra rinse. Able to fit large amount of clothes. The cleaning cycle takes 4 hours, but no need for bleach and cleans very well. Would probably use that every few months. Haven't used all of the options yet, but great product for the price.

The Heavy Duty setting is the best feature
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now, I'm only knocking off a star because I can't use the fastest spin cycle on every preset, and because the presets aren't as flexible in terms of temperature and spin speed as I would like. Otherwise, I love this washer because it does everything I need it to do, and can get things done either super quickly or super well. Besides, it sings to me when it turns on or finishes a load, which is really charming. The normal cycles are great if you're in a hurry or if your clothes never really get dirty. "Normal" works well for things like t-shirts and jeans. "Quick wash" is good for washing that last-minute blouse for an event that starts in two hours--you can wash and dry it with plenty of time left over to do your makeup or take a shower. "Bedding" is great because it doesn't tangle up your sheets (though, this won't use the fastest spin cycle). The machine will tailor water usage to the load size without hammering the pipes, and will remain unlockable for about five minutes in case you suddenly realize that you dropped a sock on the way to the laundry room. (Seriously, that's an amazing feature!) However, this machine's greatest strength is the heavy duty cycle. On eco warm, it's not bad on heating costs, and though it takes about 45 mins longer than a normal cycle, it will get almost any dirt out of any material, as long as you're using proper amounts of detergent. With someone in the house working for a precast concrete manufacturer, and another who does a lot of gardening and cleaning, this feature is indispensable. You can put a floor cleaning microfiber pad, work pants covered in concrete dust, and some filthy gardening gloves in a single load, and they'll come out clean and fresh. (Though, just don't expect miracles for permanent stains or natural wear and tear from use.) There's also a lint trap which helps cut down on things like pet hair and loose fiber from your clothing, but you will need to clean it out every so often. Lastly, this machine's fastest spin cycle is 1200 RPM, which is on the higher end--800 RPM being on the lower end. The higher the RPM, the more water it squeezes out of your clothes, and the less time your clothes spend in a dryer. Combined with a dryer that has sensor dry tech (like the matching set to this machine), your energy costs will be much lower than with an old top-load washer and an older dryer without sensor dry. Regardless of your washer choice or budget allocation, make sure you go for the highest spin speed you can afford. Lucky for me, this machine met all the requirements. I would recommend this machine if you: - Work construction, garden a lot, or need something that can launder just about anything - Have an old top-loader and just want to upgrade to something nice and simple without breaking the budget - Have or plan on getting a dryer with sensor dry technology (or if you find that your clothes take forever to dry) Do NOT pick this machine if you need to sanitize or wash things like baby diapers--there's a different model in this machine's generation with that setting. This model has basic settings only. PRO TIP: If you do choose this washer, or any other front loader, make sure that you leave the door wide open after every load to let it dry out. This will prevent mold and mildew buildup, and you won't get that musty smell that a lot of people will complain about with machines like this. The gasket on this machine is really good, so even if you crack it open, there won't be enough airflow to let it dry. Just leave the door open for a day and close it when you remember to later on.

Easy To Use Controls
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the Samsung washer and dryer for our vacation condo that is rented out when we are not there. Therefore, the controls had to be easy to use because what good is a fancy washer or dryer that it too hard to use? The washer did a great job in cleaning our clothes and the dryer did a great job in drying them. We even cleaned a queen-size quilt just to see if it could handle the larger load. YES! These machines were much quieter than others. The high-efficiency is important because our condo is on a lake and uses way less water than a conventional washer. The first time the laundry pair at home acts up, it's getting replaced by my new friends!

Great washer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is super quiet and very efficient. I can fit a huge load in it and it comes out practically dry on the high spin setting. Very quiet and really like that it had the spot for fabric softener.

quiet washer that gets clothes clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.no more hand-washing before loading the washer! this is a quiet machine that gets some serious gunk out, which is great with a toddler mess. I don't have to worry about checking the washer or adding detergent at the right time because it does it for me- therefore I feel more confident is laundering the entire families clothes. Easy set-up and simple controls help a lot. Very easy to load and unload, too- which is a plus.

Overall good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to get this unit at a 30% discount which put it in my perfect price range. I have been very happy with it. It is quiet and has all the features I had hoped for. I have only owned it for a few weeks but so far am very happy indeed. Yes there are fancier units out there but for a basic washer, it is, in my opinion, perfect for the job. I was particularly impressed when I was able to wash my sweaters and they were not stretched out as in other machines. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great washer for first time homebuyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great washing machine for a first time home owner. Works really well and is very quiet. It looks sleek and has modern features. You can supposedly use your iPhone with it (I have yet to do that). It cleans clothes well and we haven't had a single issue with it. My wife loves it and it's a great addition to our home. We have the matching dryer, which is also awesome, and have them stacked. We bought it while it was on sale. Definitely a great purchase!

great value front loader
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so far (~ 1 month), the product is great. very good wash, extemely quiet, fairly quick cycle (regular at 60 min) with minimal water use per load (usually 12 gal). would have given 5 stars, but the install was not much more than a drop off. leveling with appropriate tool SHOULD be mandatory as well as a test run. also, would be nice to have (still do not) the non-slip pads which instructions say are part of the install. initially, had issue with some water left in drum due to INCORRECT hose placement by installers (glorified delivery men actually). corrected by end user and now works great ! Hopefully Best Buy will correct this deficiency in their installation process thereby offering a true 5 star experience for future customers.

As Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this washer for a few weeks and done about 10 loads of laundry. Installation was delayed as we did not know that our laundry closet had no 120v outlet. Once a new outlet was in the Geek Squad installed and tested everything. The washer has plenty of settings for different washes. It is very quiet as it works. The spin cycle has clothes just right for the dryer. The controls are quite easy to figure out. So far quite pleased with this purchase.

Nice and Quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is not only a good one but it's very quiet. We have it near our entertainment room and it never causes a problem. It does a great job washing clothes and it has ample capacity. After its washing cycles are over it plays a nice little tune rather than a blaring buzzer that many other washers have. Our previous washer was an 8 year old Samsung which finally broke beyond repair. The repair cost would have been almost as high as the cost of a new washer so we decided on a new one.

Great washer, accomodates large loads & low noise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with my purchase. The washer uses minimal water, and washes well. I also noted that it dries the clothes better than my previous washer. I am able to wash my king sized comforters without issues so it accommodates the weight well. It also does not make much noise which is ideal for me. Overall great buy! I will now buy the matching electric dryer.

Great Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought both the washer and the dryer almost a year ago. I think it does a great job at getting the clothes clean and a great job spinning them out. Every once in a while it will go off balance and it takes you a little while to straighten out but i has to do that whith my old top loader at times too. I can do a load of 10 towels and wash clothes and about 3-4 hand towels in one load. It uses much less water and less loads for me to do :)

Great washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice looking and it works great. Clothes are coming out much cleaner than they were in my old top load washer. It uses less detergent, too. Plenty of cycle choices. The only drawback is that each load takes about an hour at least. Its slow but that's probably how it uses less water and detergent while making the clothes cleaner. Its also super quiet.

Excellent Purchase!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is rare when we can buy something and be perfectly happy with it in every way, but this is one of those times. This washer has worked perfectly every time. It is easy to operate and does HUGE loads of bedding with ease. It gets everything very clean as it is supposed to also. Spin cycle is TREMENDOUS! The ultra efficiency of the spin cycle on this machine really cuts down on drying time.

Great washer and dryer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited several months before ordering these to make sure I was getting a good deal. I did! So far, I love my new Washer and dryer! They dilelivered it in alloted time and on the date requested. Everything was installed for me. I ended up having to return one of the parts ordered to install the dryer because my apartment area is too small for the piece. They save so much energy compared to my old ratchet ones. I just paid my energy bill that was $75 dollars less than what I normally pay! (I had a RATCHET W&D before.) My clothes actually smell clean now and they are very easy to clean. The only issue I have is that the washer can get loud if there is a large load; however, the space under the washer is supposed to be an even surface and I have a feeling that it's my actual apartment and not an issue with the washer causing the loud noise sometimes. Overall, I am VERY happy with the choice I made!
