Bought our washer 3 years and the drain pump broke. Washer was just used by my wife and I about 2 loads a week. In any event the drum bent after the drain pump broke and water flooded everywhere. Terrible customer service experience with Samsung as we waited 2 weeks to have technician come look at. Found out the repair was $800. Ha ha! We went out and bought a Whirlpool! wrote a letter and contacted customer service at Samsung. They offered no help and did not seem to really show any sympathy towards out issue. We spent over $5,000 on all new Samsung appliances and they could care less. I highly recommend you choose another product over Samsung since they will offer no help or service if your product is defective like ours. Jason

The poor reviews are true. Washer has difficulty with deoderant areas, collars and stains. Clothes need to be prewashed or pretreated before placing in this new washing machine. Most of clothing is office dress clothes. I would rather use a few more gallons of water and a little more electricity than spend an hour and a half waiting for the wash that I had to prewash to begin with.

I don't know who did the other reviews but I am not a fan of this washer. For one it takes so long to do a wash (60-80 min) and I do not care what they say that you don't need a lot of water to wash the clothes , I disagree. How it it saving energy when it takes 20-30 minutes longer to do a load? I wish there was an over ride setting so I could do it my way. Lots of water and shorter wash cycles.

Huge drum to wash a lot, which is a plus for a big family. Washes great. No issues with this washing machine.

Bought a Samsung washer, which broke down twice within 2 years. Purchased Geek Squad warranty. When we needed it repaired the second time it took 5-6 weeks for them to deal with it. I still don't have the replacement washer. Every week they call and give another excuse as to why they can't repair or replace it as promised. Worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Needed to purchase new washer and dryer for my new apt. I bought the set and so far it has been worth it.

I will never purchase a appliance at Best Buy again or a Samsung product. I bought this Samsung Top Load washing machine at Best Buy Maple Grove in May 2014 from Mike the Sales Manager in the appliance area of Best Buy. The washing machine worked great for a couple months then started getting out of balance when doing towels and bedding even though it was placed correctly in the basket and washing machine was leveled. Then in beginning of Sept 2014 when washing machine was 4 months old it began filling with water and would not turn off and kept adding time to cycles. I contacted Samsung and they sent out their third party repair company. I had to wait a week for them to look at it. I was told it was the pressure sensor and control panel. I had to wait another week for the parts to be installed. Washing machine worked for 1 cycle and had repair company come out again, waited another week. Repair company deemed it unrepairable. I had to deal with Samsung for a replacement which took 2 weeks of multiple phone calls. I finally was able to go into Best Buy after 8 weeks to pick out a replacement. Best Buy did nothing to help me even after we spent 10,000 in there stores over the past few months and Mike the appliance manager in Best Buy Maple Grove was no help either. This took forever to resolve. I spent hours on the phone. So believe me and do your research. Samsung washing machines have alot problems. The great reviews are in the beginning when first purchased. If you google Samsung washing machine complaints it is there that you see all the issues. Save yourself the money and more important your time.

This washer is huge and rated for energy efficiency. It even plays a song when the cycle is finished.

I have purchased this washer based on the glowing reviews on Consumer Reports and various other websites including this one. This is supposed to be a quiet and vibration free machine,but it is quite the opposite and it doesn't clean well at all. The pump noise and vibration during the spin cycle will drive you nuts! A tech has come out and deemed it normal as well. Gonna have to return it I am afraid because I cannot put up with that kind of noise from a new machine. We have washed 3 loads of laundry,and that is all that I can stand. \ Really not happy with Consumer Reports!!!!! I am probably done with Samsung as well!

Worked great the first 2 months we had it then stopped. Computer panel is totally dead. Won't even open to get the wet clothes out. Best Buy transferred me to Samsung. Lady from Samsung was very rude and horrible to deal with. Told me they would call me in a few days and set up a time to come fix it. Totally disgusted and won't buy another Samsung product ever!!!

I purchased the washer in November and have been happy so far...the only thing I noticed, is that I need to be careful with fuzzy items against clothing as they rub off...either that or too much soap and it shows up on especially black clothing?? Otherwise I have been very happy.

This is so far the best washer I ever bought. It's big enough for a blanket and it washes really good. It has many different cycles and you can select your water temperature also soil level and offcourse it has the extra rinse option. I highly recommend it for everyone who is looking for a new washer.

To save a few bucks, we bought this HE top loader instead of a front loader.. It would not fill with enough water to make the clothes distribute during the wash cycles---what was put in last stayed on top and never got immersed in the wash water even after it 'spun'. Samsung insisted that's they way they work now and would not send a technician to check to see if ti was working properly. We returned the washer to Best Buy (thank goodness they were so cooperative) and purchased an LG front loader which we are very happy with.

I've been using this washer for a few months now and I can't figure out how to use it properly. Never seems to get enough water, completely dissolve the soap, move the clothes around inside, or get things clean. All not good when talking about a washing machine and I have washed a few loads multiple times. I'm trying different cycles to see which ones work best but even that doesn't seem to be consistent load to load. I just wish that you could select a water level because I think that would resolve 99% of my issues. I'm hoping that I will figure it out in time but now I know what to look for next time I'm shopping for a machine.

We bought this as a set in April 2014. Our problems are with the washer. The day after install we washed two loads of laundry and noticed a pool of water on the floor. We checked the hoses, played around with the settings, googled, one of us tipped the washer up while the other got on our hands and knees with a flashlight.....the leak appeared to be coming from the back left side of the washer. There was google intel leading us to believe the problem might be with the Aqua Jet feature. We decided we wanted to return the washer. When we contacted Best Buy that's when we realized Pacific Sales isn't Best Buy? Apparently, even though we went to Best Buy, we bought our appliances from another business. We didn't realize that throughout our initial transaction. Are we stupid or are they shady? We still can't decide but we're willing to err on the side of stupidity. So we call the same building, different number, and talk to the dudes in Pacific Sales. We can't return it. We agreed to that in some fine print somewhere. OK, buyer beware and all, that's cool. More stupidity on us. We wound up having to go back to the Best Buy store to talk to the Pacific Sales dudes to try to understand how to deal with the problem. The Pacific Sales dudes were really cool but the process was frustrating. It would be two days before they could get someone to our house. On a week day. In the morning. So one of us had to lose time from work. When the fix-it dude showed up he spent some time to determine it needed to be replaced. He had a new one on his truck so OK. He replaced it. The replacement start leaking this week. Four months later. The fix-it dude is coming on Monday morning. One of us has to take time off work. It's all under warranty, which is cool, but really? We're pretty sure we're looking at our third washer in five months. This washer appears to have major - known - issues with leakage when in Aqua Jet mode. If we were one of those consumer mags we would rate it as "do not buy".

We recently purchased our first home and I was so excited that I got to purchase myself a new W & D set. I have purchase several Samsung products in the past and have been satisfied , so I figured why not get Samsung for my new W & D. I headed on down to best buy to purchase, after talking to a sales asst about what I wanted and needed in a set I upped my budget and got this set. Now to the real stuff 1. A few times now immediately after closing soap and softener dispenser the softener started coming out onto my clothes. That is not supposed to happen until the washer is on and in the rinse cycle. Not to mention it is not good for you clothes to have it put directly on. 2. Have had clothes come out that still had food, derby , dirt and what not on them. So I thought I would try and put the load select on heavy duty and that might work.. No go 3. Clothes are not moving around in machine = if it was put in on the bottom it is still on the bottom and it has also resulted in spots on clothes that never even got wet, let alone washed. 4. On the bottom where the machines "spins" has caught fibers in wash cloth and " unraveled" the material. Since I purchased the set in November I have until January to return. Still on the fence if I want to go through the trouble. On a good note the machine plays a nice song when the load is done.

Right after my warranty ended our washing machine started acting up. It gets unbalanced with even the smallest load. Now I can rarely make it through a cycle without many tries and resets. It's so annoying and since it's just out of warranty no one seems to want to help. A washing machine is supposed to last quitea few years. We do have someone coming out to see if they can fix it. Fingers crossed. But very disappointing thus far.
