The washer dryer combo looks nice and has modern features, such as the ability to get a notification on your phone when a load is done. However, rarely does it dry a full load on the first go around, even when it’s using its AI sensing technology or whatever. Customizing your wash cycle is a pain, you have to go through multiple buttons and options just to add a pre soak or extra rinse, and many cycles won’t let you add those options at all! This set is so annoying, the old school ones with actual buttons are so much easier and faster (I sound like my mom, for he record I’m in my 30s). For the price and allure of modern features, it misses all of the basic washing needs. I’ve had this washer/dryer for 4 months now, if I could go back I would not buy this again.

I purchased this washer and dryer combo set in the store after I inspected its condition. It was an excellent condition and I scheduled it to be delivered to my new home in two weeks when I got keys. The morning of the delivery I got a call from Best Buy telling me I had no choice but to cancel the order because the item was damaged. I told them I bought the warranty so I would just use the warranty to fix whatever was damaged. They continued to demand. I canceled the item and said I had no other choice that they would not fix it. They told me they would help me purchase a brand new one which was three times the cost because it was not open box deal. They told me I had to go to the store to get any further assistance. When I got to the store and explain the situation asking for some sort of a discount, the employee told me the same exact thing happened to him when he purchased a refrigerator. He said there was no recourse. He also said other customers were running into the same problem with being told. Things were damaged and their orders were canceled with open box purchases. He sent me to another store and said they had an open box of the same item. When I got there, it was a brand new one and they offered no discount. I decided to make my purchase at Wayfair so I could get a better deal and rewards.

Very quiet when running. Controls are very intuitive. I thoroughly enjoy how often i do not have to load the laundry detergent and fabric softener because I can fill it and the washer determines how much to dispense. This was a great buy.

I really like my purchase of the Samsung washer and dryer! I’ve been wanting a new washer and dryer for years but couldn’t find a good deal or a set that I liked. I’m glad I found this set and right when I moved into my new place! They look great in my space!

Solid washer/dryer. I do like how it integrates with our other Samsung products, but feel like the AI cycles don't detect if items are dry (they seem to miss moisture in wrinkles/creases)

The washer and dryer as one unit has saved us a ton of space in the laundry room. The controls are not the easiest to navigate if you are not tech friendly. We have not had any real issues with the unit.

Bought this unit after having an all-in-one other brand unit. It used to take 4+hrs for 1 load wash&dry. This unit completes a load in 1.5hrs or less!!!

An Average Washer/Dryer Combo

This is an average Dryer attached to an average Washer. Most features are distracting or useless except for the centrally placed controls for both units and the soap auto-dispense function.
AI Features: Mostly invasive and annoying to navigate around. Also, the AI seems to ALWAYS use hot water no matter whether you make changes before starting.
Connected Features: The documentation hypes up what you can do with the SmartThings app. What you can actually do is see if the dryer or washer is running from your phone... you can't set your own preferred cycles to be added to the unit as the documentation suggests.
Sensor Wash/Dry: Useless, never successfully had a load complete drying on the sensor setting. The sensor wash setting seems to shorten the wash time based on a measure of how much dirt is being detected, maybe? But I've needed to rewash loads several times when this has happened.
Inaccurate Documentation and Support:
As stated above, you are unable to add your own desired cycles to the unit, you can select from a list of Samsung-named cycles, but that's it.
Also, you cannot swap door directions on this unit. Samsung support says that you can swap the dryer door side, but in reality the cutout on the left side is too small to hold the latch mechanism, so it doesn't fit without modifying the dryer and voiding any warranty.

Page 70 for AI pattern, this function saves frequently used cycles and settings. When you turn the function on, the washer remembers the most used cycles and their settings (Temp., Spin, and Soil) and displays them in frequency order.
