I've been waiting to buy a flat screen for my main TV for a long time. In fact, I was going to wait until my 20" Montgomery Ward tube TV died. However, as the holidays approached, I decided to treat myself to a flat screen, if I could find a quality model at a good price. This 40" Samsung fits the bill nicely. I don't have large rooms, so it's the perfect size. It was very easy to set up, using the included directions and my cable company's guide. Within an hour after bringing it home, I was enjoying programs. Since then I've caught up on some series and movies that are so much more vivid on my new Samsung. Well worth the investment!

Had a friend wall mount this TV and it's been great. Excellent value for the money. TV itself is very light weight. The remote is very responsive and the color/resolution is good. This is a great size for small/medium sized rooms.

Great TV for $300. Quality is excellent, picture is sharp, set up was easy.

Picture quality is good but volume is low. Need to put up to about 40 on volume or higher to hear people talking.

this tv is a very good tv for the bedroom or living room.it has great contrast and the colors really pop and look great in any lighting environment.the remote is laid out good and is easy to learn.there is a lot of inputs in the rear that can be used to connect all of my video components.in short...this is a great tv...Samsung makes great products...this is a good example!

Easy to set up. Nice and light and easy to carry. Really liked the idea that I could bring in my old TV for disposal.

Finally bought a new television after watching my old 26" television for 26 years. Have been wanting to buy a Samsung for quite a while and I am delightedly happy with it. It is 40" and the picture is sharp and clear. Very, very happy with it.

I upgraded to this tv from a 24" insignia and the difference is astounding! The interface (switching inputs, channels, etc.) is very quick and easy to use. I wall mounted this tv and the only issue I ran into was with the wall mount I bought, nothing to do with the tv itself. One side note is that when you first use it, at least for me, it had some odd settings up high like sharpness so that it almost looked low quality, maybe 720p. I played with the settings and it worked out and now looks sharper than ever! Don't be disappointed if it seems low picture quality at first. Tinker around with the picture settings a bit.
