This is a great TV for the price. The color is beter than most in its price range. The picture is sharp and the TV is surprisingly light for its size.

This was the easiest TV purchase I ever made. Didn't want a SmartTV so this is exactly what I wanted. Great Samsung quality on sale for $50 off. Huge screen, lightweight, easy to set up. Very satisfied.

The color and black level is great and the image is very sharp. This is a great buy for the price and it is very easy to setup.

This TV has performed better than expected. Originally bought for the guest room, it's now been moved to the recreation room due to the fast and smooth refresh rate. Blu-ray movies and x-box games are crystal clear with no screen lag showing at all, allowing for better enjoyment rather than the a dull and somewhat blurry viewing screen. Mounting this TV was quick and easy as the weight of it is minimal and setup was a breeze using the walk thru menu system. I recommend this TV as a great buy for anyone looking for a TV that is easy and enjoyable on the eyes. Definitely worth the price I paid for it.

I love the Samsung 40" TV! It is the perfect size for the living room and has a great picture, color, and sound. It was easy to set up and was a terrific buy.

Buying a 40 inch led tv now isn't really a big deal. This can be a good thing for purchasing a good tv at a low price. It's not going to blow you away, but it's going to help you feel satisfied for buying one of those "older" tv's. I have never had any problems with Samsungs I owned previuosly. Considering this is a Samsung and the price, I felt pretty good. It won't disapoint. The picture is good, it's 1080p, so you'll get a good picture with any channels you can watch in hd. It's a good quality tv with a great price. You can't go wrong with this Samsung.

Great quality especially for price. Easy to use and has great picture. Only negative is no swivel built into the stand but over all would buy again.

When my TV fritzed out I wasn't too worried. There's a Best Buy across the street. I knew they had a huge selection and I'd find something just right in my price range. This tv was so easy to install. Once it was out of the box I plugged it in and it practically set itself up. Fine tuning the picture and sound settings was fun. I was surprised at how many options there were to personalize everything to get the experience I wanted. I can't wait to upgrade my fun with a gaming console and sound system too! I love new tech! Well, new to me that is.

The price on this television was very reasonable. The size is perfect for the room and the picture is so clear. I will enjoy it for years to come.

I got this tv at an awesome discounted price; first time having an HDTV and it's rocking my world. I just got an optical cable to plug in my receiver for my surround sound, and it's an incredibly crisp sound. I used to have a big projector tv, and it hummed like no other when I plugged the sound in, and my Samsung is completely silent except for what should be coming through on the television. I can't say enough good things about it! Beautiful image and sound, very sleek, and surprisingly light!

I got these on thanksgiving day and our main television is not working. I didn't tell to my mom and aunt what kind of tv I'm buying so I decided to ask my friend to be with me and choose what kind of television will be getting and affordable to my budget. We shopped around the store and then suddenly I saw these TV Samsung and not bad about the price. I ask my friend and she said oh buy these this was cheap and this will be cool putting to ur living room. Very nice TV we got so far.

I finally upgraded my living room tv and boy am I glad I went with this Samsung! It's hard to find a TV that isn't smart these days but that's exactly what I wanted. I can use my AppleTV or Roku or Chromecast to stream media, even most blue ray players come with streaming ability so I enjoyed not paying for something that I didn't need and wouldn't be able to progress with the technology as long as the TV has life. Samsung did great with tv I like the menu, it's light weight, it's wonderful

After being on vacation and watching football games on the villa's HD TV, my wife, yes, that's right, my wife, decided it was time we replaced the 25+ year old Sony tube TV in our living room entertainment center with an HD TV (and not wait until the Sony broke to replace it). We wanted a basic, no frills flat screen, and after running the usual big box store trap line (Best Buy, Costco, Target, Wal-Mart), we liked the Samsung picture the best, and this particular model happened to be on a great pre-Christmas sale at Best Buy. Set up was simple (taking 1/10 of the effort of getting the old 75-pound Sony out of the entertainment center). The picture quality is great and if the Ravens didn't stink worse than our dog's breath I would have watched more games. (What's John Harbaugh's record since Ray Lewis retired anyway? Makes you wonder who was really coaching that team...) We considered a smart TV, but reviews complaining about slow load times for smart features added to concerns that the "smart" features might become out-dated faster than the TV, not to mention that plugging in a Fire Stick or Roku works just fine. Overall, this is a terrific product (unless it breaks tomorrow) even if it won't melt your friends with envy (but if you're into that kind of thing, you're probably not looking at a TV this size unless you're hooking up an entertainment center in your Hummer).

Purchased this as a Mother's day gift for her bedroom. It is a perfect size to view from any angle. Samsung has not failed me yet on quality of picture or sound. Did not need an additional sound bar for the small room but could see the possible need for one in a larger area. It was easy to set up to a cable box and took less than half an hour to begin watching a show. Remote was intuitive.

This is my first HD tv. My old tv was 12 years old and on it's last legs, so this was the next step. I did the research , with some help from a friend, and found the 40" Samsung, which I love. Not sure how, but the settings were perfect right from the beginning and two weeks later still haven't needed any adjustments. I am extremely happy with the quality of the picture and sound, not to mention things I didn't expect like having no glare from my window (with my old tv, I had to close the blinds to see the picture). While the service I received at the store, Cherry Hill, was excellent and the salesman was very knowledgeable, I did have issues with the delivery person. The salesman had told me that the delivery guy would hook up the tv to the cable box to make sure the tv was working. Long story short, I literally had to fight with the delivery person to get this done. When I spoke to customer service afterwards, they confirmed that the salesman was correct and the delivery person was supposed to set up the tv for me. As it turned out, the tv was damaged so they had to take it back with them. I ended up picking up a new one at the store the next day and was refunded the delivery fee, no questions asked. In addition, the people at the pick-up counter opened the new box and set up the tv to make sure it was working before I left the store.

I think Samsung knows what it's doing when it comes to electronics, particularly TVs. And, despite the reviews, for the average user, this TV will not disappoint. The color is great, the sound is much better than expected from friends who told me I should get a soundbar (I didn't, and I am surviving), and overall the TV operates well. The main regret I have is that I did not order the Smart version of this TV instead. I HATE my Roku II for a variety of reasons, and I think having a Smart TV would have helped me not need the Roku... Lesson learned; pay the different for the Smart TV!

This TV is a solid model that gets the job done. It is not a smart TV, but I actually prefer that since they usually cost less than smart models and you can just buy a device like a Chromecast or Fire TV Stick that has better software. Overall, I would say that this TV would be a fine choice for anyone wanting to upgrade to a slightly larger LED TV, as long as you go in with the knowledge that this model doesn't have all of the newest bells and whistles.

I already own a 32" Samsung HDTV, so I was aware of Samsung's great TV quality. This TV is no exception. Beautiful picture, whether I'm watching live TV, Netflix, or playing PS4. The sound is pretty much what you'd expect out of any TV, but I have a Vizio Soundbar hooked up to the TV's digital optical port, which works perfectly. You can't go wrong with Samsung TVs!
