My mother's old TV recently died. After a little Research we went to Best Buy to purchase her a new TV. She is very happy with the picture quality and I was very happy with the ease of setup and operation.

Great picture detail, easy hookup with plenty of additional HDMI and Component hookups. I would recommend for someone not needing smart tv extras. Great price and performance

My father needed a new tv and this was the one since he did not want a smart tv. The picture is great and he loves it. The price was the best we found for this tv. Loved that the cashier opened box to make sure tv screen was not damaged before we took it home. Great tv for a great price!

My 40" Samsung TV was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't think that I would be able too get a Samsung at the price I wanted to pay. The TV was for the bedroom and fits perfectly on the stand that we previously had a 32" TV. Well pleased with the purchase.

The picture is very good. It is easy to use. These were 2 of the items we looked for in a TV for my Mother in Law. My Family has several Samsung TVs and we love them. The only negative issue I had was with the first shipped TV. The screen was cracked. It was a hassle to exchange the TV.

Bought this TV for our bedroom and very happy with it. Great picture and very easy to set up and operate. The only thing I don't like is that there aren't buttons on the TV to manually turn off or adjust volume if needed. However, I wouldn't let this stop me from buying it again.

I use this 40" Samsung in my exercise room and am about 6 ft. for the set and the picture is very color accurate and smooth with both cable and a feed from my media player. Easy to set up and so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. Best Buy delivered right to my door when promised.

I love the tv. However, if I had to do it again, I'd get a smart tv, since adding HDMI cables and rocket box ended up costing almost the same. That said, Samsung is a quality brand and each new tv has been a Samsung.

Great picture and does what it is advertised. Energy efficiency over the old plasma models is great. Light weight and easy to mount. The smart TV functions are its best feature.

I bought this TV as a birthday gift for a friend. It was on sale at an incredible value. We set it up in just 5 minutes and it worked perfectly. Can't beat a Samsung TV!

This is my second Samsung TV. Was so pleased with my 60 inch set that I got the 40 inch for a smaller space. The picture is outstanding and the set up is fast and easy. Didn't need a smart TV this time around, so this set was the perfect economical fit. Would definitely recommend.

Love the new Samsung TV. Great picture quality and just the right size for the room. Might consider adding a sound bar, but not really necessary. Easy to set up too.

Although only a 60 hz refresh rate, this Samsung model delivers an excellent picture, good sound , and controls are sufficient for setting it up the way you like it. Not the primary TV, however gets lots of use and really met our expectation ! Excellent product price point.

I have many Samsung products. The Samsung TV has a superior picture in my opinion. This TV was the perfect size, and the right price. It doesn't have lots of bells and whistles, but with cable, I don't need any. This is in a bedroom where I just want to watch TV.

Planning on purchasing a 32" tv but walked out with a 40" for nearly the same price as 32" with same bells and whistles.... TV is great.. no regrets with picture, sound, and it's user friendly. Perusing the refurbished or returned aisle will always be a good choice.

Came in to look for TV's on sale and happened to find this one on sale and open box. It was an amazing deal and couldn't pass it up since our bedroom TV died on us. It's an upgrade from the 10 year old tv we had, and the picture quality is great. It's simple to use and I had no problems hooking it up. It's bigger than I expected too.

this TV is in my daughter's room.....it has an easy setup menu....the picture is very bright which is good for sunny rooms.....the refresh rate is only 60hz so I wouldn't recommend using this set for gaming.

I bought 2 of these to replace older LCD TVs and these are great. They are a great brand, super lightweight, and are very simple. They aren't smart tvs, but I have apps on my Dish Network, xbox, Blu-ray players, etc.

In my experience smart TVs are terribly dumb and have very little hard drive space. The Smart part of your TV is going to quickly become useless long before the TV actually does. I recommend buying a dumb TV. At least until the Smart TV components are eject-able and replaceable at the very least the hard drive. This TV works great and was easy to setup. It can be updated but I haven't found a good reason to do that yet. Very satisfied with this unit.

My wife was looking for a replacement TV. We looked a several brand names and decided on the Samsung 40" LED. The price and assistance for the store rep was both educational and the ease of setup. After arriving home and putting together the stand that supports the tv, we plug it in and presto, the picture quailty was most surprising. And fine tuning it to our specs brought the picture deep into greater focus. We highly recommend the Samsung brand and for extra insurance taking out the five year warranty plan. Also, we recommend this product to all and you won't be disappointed.
