Nice TV but user interface needs improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first HD TV and the picture quality is amazing. However, it is difficult to set up but our Best Buy salesman provided excellent support and was very helpful. Most of the apps that come with the smart TV require a monthly fee so we tried using the browser to access sites that provide free streaming of movies. The browser interface is cumbersome and slow. You really need to purchase a keyboard and mouse that plugs into the TV to effectively navigate. I thought the accompanying remote would control both the TV and also my cable box but that is not the case. For the most part, all functions related to the cable need the cable remote and likewise, most TV functions like sound level and other smart functions need the TV remote. Apparently there is a universal remote that can be purchased for around $80 than controls everything but I have not gone that route yet. The internet connectivity works well. There is only one set of AV ports on the TV. For example, if you have an old DVD player with AV outputs, that unit uses all of the TV set AV ports. You can't attach a Wii or other devices because all of the AV ports are already used by the DVD player. Also the AV ports are not on the side of TV but rather on the back, so plugging in the AV cables makes the screen protrude from the wall, i.e. the TV screen will not set flush with the wall. This is a 40" screen, so maybe higher end models have more ports?

Decent TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this tv is great. One of my complaints is that if you happen to own or order a better Samsung remote that has app buttons like Netflix, the app buttons will not work. The wifi/smart feature has a one to two minute delay upon turning the tv on

Don't spend money for web browser that can't use a
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this television because of the features and the price. However, I would not recommend wasting money on a television set that has an Internet browser but does not support an external keyboard. I was even sold a Samsung wireless keyboard with this set and it took three days and multiple phone calls before we finally figured out that this model does not support an external keyboard.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good tv so far with decent picture. Nothing extraordinary about it but seems decent for the price range

Great quality for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a great picture although sometimes part of the picture is off the screen (not sure that is the TVs fault). While it is a smart TV it is not YET compatible with our MAC computer. Annoying, but I guess I should have done better research first.

Good Picture, but not great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The clarity of the picture is wonderful and the colors are very bright. The volume needs to be put very high to be able to hear the show.

decent tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a decent TV for the price. I could do without the internet based features, they really don't add any value for me. I also found it extremely strange that there are no buttons on the bezel (i have 3 other samsung tvs and they all at least have touch sensitive controls for turning the tv on/off, volume, channel, source, menu access). This TV has nothing on the bezel at all. Your only option is the remote control.

Picture took a little while to focus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv online, and it appeared to be a good price. I hooked it up to the internet easily, but was not happy with the clarity of the picture or the size of the tv. I ended up returning the tv to Best Buy and purchased a larger 50 inch Samsung. I was much happier with the 50 inch screen.

Good tv but I have another 6300. White spots
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far happy with this 6300. Not happy with the one I brought 4 months ago. I will be calling geek squad for service call. I have white light spots on the border of screen in several places. Luckily I have an extended warranty on the other 6300

Can't rate features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't been able to use the features on this Smart TV and haven't been able to determine whether there's a problem with the TV or the ISP. I am about to change internet service providers and hope to resolve the issues.

Great TV for exercise room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for a exercise room or some other area where it is used infrequently, would not have as my primary viewing television. Plasma still has the best picture available over the other options of LCD or LED.

Some issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second 40F6300. The first one has a much better picture than the new set. However, to be fair, Samsung is sending a technician to my residence to correct the problem That is real service.

Smart TV with the DUMBEST BROWSER EVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The browser on this thing is irritating and non-intuitive to use. It requires the patience of Job. The pointer often doesn't work and every time you shut the browser off it forgets the page you were on by the time you turn the set on again. It's like some high schoolers bad coding experiment. Otherwise, some of the apps work fine, like HBOGO. Any site or service that requires the use of the browser however is just too maddening to bother with at this point. The other thing to remember is that Apple computers and Samsung TVs just don't want to get along. Unless you buy AppleTV, your Apple computer just won't work well with this TV. The Intel processors have the capacity to work fine together but Apple and Samsung would rather sell you their proprietary products than make thing easy for the consumer. I hear that LG tv's don't have the same compatibility issues so I'm halfway thinking of returning this flat screen.
