    I had high hopes for this TV that's why I was a bit miffed when I had to return it because the dedicated Netflix button always ended up freezing.

    It's not a bad TV but there are better for the money. The smart function takes awhile to start working. Sound started to cut out for some reason but when I turned it off and then back on it worked fine.

    Good TV, but with some picture distortion

    The overall picture and sound quality is good, and the SMART features work great. However, there is some picture distortion in some close-ups and movement. Also, there are some glitches with the guide - sometimes when changing from guide to TV the small viewing picture stays instead of changing to the large TV picture. And sometimes the remote moves slowly through the guide.

    I reviewed the Smart TV's before purchasing and was comfortable with my choice of a Samsung 40" Smart TV. A week after its purchase, I had to bring it in to the Geek Squad because of problems with the Smart Hub. Even with their help, it would take a couple minutes before accessing Netflix because it would say that TV not ready.....Two weeks after that, it froze, made a strange sound, and shut down. It has been in for repair for 2 weeks now. I have had no word on its status....only that it's on a truck....I don't know if it's coming or going. Very disappointed. I should've bought it somewhere where I could get a refund within 30 days.

    We were pretty excited about our new tv until it kept turning off on it's own. We tried to troubleshoot, but nothing worked. Clearly it was a defective product so we returned it and bought a Sony.

    Awful tv bought it and the brightness did not work at all. Extremely dim and with their "protection plan" I couldn't get a new tv because it hasn't been fixed 3x which is insane who wants their tv to be repaired 3x before getting a new one! The sales associate did not explained that policto me. I was just told that I could return the tv and get a new one if there is ever a problem which is why I bought the ridiculously priced protection plan. I had to bring that 40' tv to get repaired right after purchase and it's going to take a month to get fixed. I think it's ridiculous. So frustrating.
