The setup took FOREVER!! Steps after steps, keep on asking lots of questions and info. The resolution is alright Though. We just wished the setup process would be more user friendly.

Great TV, incredibly sharp picture, great color--I can't say enough good about it. I like the set so well, I bought a 2nd one 3 or 4 days later. I was shocked to learn that this model does not have "Closed Caption" capability! If I had known this, I may have passed on this (these) TV's. I don't have a hearing problem, however there are times where you just can't quite make out what is being said on the TV. It's those times that I would normally use the CC setting so that I can understand what is being said. Also I wish that I could help the designers and engineers design the remote control unit--I'm sure that I could really improve it. Lastly, I would make the volume control switch activate and adjust the volume, either up or down, much faster. There's my .03 cents worth!

Price versus quality, I think you'd thank yourself later if you went with the 6300 Series 4k instead. Also you can't connect Samsung Sound Bar wirelessly with this model.

Before purchased this model, I have read reviews and searched online. I found it was good rated. This model looks cheap. However has good quality of picture and audio, and PLUS! 120hz refresh rate. Furthermore, It is not too expensive. I don't care the look much because it fits my budget and meets my expectation. If you would like to have a better look TV, you have to spend more. For me, I am really happy with this one.

I purchased jusy shy of 2 weeks ago after reading reviews here, and while Samsung returned my troubleshoot requests in a timely fashion, they currently do not have a functioning Amazon player. I have yet to make it through a 20 minute episode without having to return to the menu and resume the frozen video. Now it no longer loads at all. 3 calls to customer service where I was told to "wait" for them to write the next version of the app. I will be returning.

for the price, you probably can't do better. It has the smart features as advertised, nice bright screen and the best part, it was VERY easy to setup. I'd like a few more inputs but not worth the price upgrade in my opinion. very good TV otherwise.

Great 40" Smart TV

Bought this tv instead of an LG or the Sharp 43" and glad I did. We needed a tv that would fit in a built-in cabinet and were limited by space. The tv was easy to setup, has an excellent picture and is easy to use. We've used the wifi with no problem and Netflix works great. The sound out of the box needed to be adjusted in the advanced settings section of the menu in order to get the tv to sound right for the space.
Pros: Picture, WiFi, Ease of Use, and Sound Quality after its been adjusted.
Cons: Sound quality out of the box needed to be adjusted.

I purchased four of these TV's in November 2015, 13 months later two of the TV's no longer work (will not turn on). Contacted Samsung and their authorized service center was no help at all. As a result, I had to purchase two new TV's (not Samsung). If you decide to purchase this TV, I highly recommend purchasing the extended warranty as you will need it.

I exchanged a sony bravia 40 inch tv for this samsung 40 inch. Upon setting up i was amazed with the picture. I don't need a 4k unit so i stuck with 1080p and this is one of the best pictures I've seen. I play a lot of games COD, Battlefront, Assassins Creed, Etc and they all look great. The refresh rate is great so movies and games are amazing on this. If you're looking for a tv with a great price, this is the one you should get!

~3 weeks after I purchased this Tv, the sound just went quiet, no sound at all. Lucky I bought xtra warranty or I would have been responsible for sending it to the manufacture. Since I had best buy warranty I took it to best buy and they sent it off to their shop in Dallas. Still don't have it back

Excellent Choice For The Price

My wife and I purchased a 40" J6200 a month ago for the bedroom, and liked it so much we bought another for the living room. If space and price are considerations, this is as good a value as you are likely to find. The quality of the video is superb, and the audio will probably suit most viewers except for audiophiles. If you get a chance to watch this TV side by side with a 4k model it would be difficult to pick out which is which. The difference, however, may be more discernible for larger screen sizes.
But if you're looking for a TV with the fastest and most seamless downloads of the latest apps you should probably look elsewhere, as the best that can be said about the "SMART" features is that they are adequate. With only two HDMI ports that also limits connectivity if you have several components you would like to connect.
(On a side note, be careful during the setup to connect the base at a 90 degree angle, by ensuring that the clips on the bottom of the TV snap onto the base where they should. Otherwise, the screen will be tilted up at an angle.)

Great picture with plenty of connections

I have an Xbox One, AppleTV, and Chromecast hooked up to this. I do not have cable service so I cannot comment on the TVs performance with it. The TV is in a medium-sized bedroom.
The games I play on the Xbox look insane on this TV! I play Blu Ray movies on the Xbox as well and those look great also. The most recent release I watched on this was Interstellar. Normal scenes in the movie looked OK but the CGI scenes were amazing. There was some noticeable pixelation or halo effect when fast moving objects were going across the screen. This is apparently common with all TVs with a 120Hz refresh rate and you need to change the Auto Motion Plus setting to "Low" to alleviate this. This happened with both Blu Rays and video games.
The AppleTV I have is 2nd Gen so it only puts out video at 720p. Still, all of the content looked great despite it not being full HD.
The Chromecast is hooked up to the Xbox One's HDMI input. I stream content to it from my 15" Macbook Pro Retina since it's more seamless and stable than the AppleTV (surprisingly). The picture still looks great even when casting non-HD content to it.
The SmartHub is convenient but can take a while to start up and is sluggish during operation. A lot of the content/apps are available on my Xbox One and I prefer to use that instead because of the better interface and speed.
The sound on this is just OK. Companies are focused on the picture so the sound will never be amazing without a sound bar or system. However, for a bedroom, the sound is perfect. The speakers on this are too weak to distribute clear sound in a larger room.
I'm very happy with this purchase but understand that the longevity of this TV is still up in the air. I purchased the Geek Squad protection for 5 years as insurance.

Slowest Smart Tv

I own 4 Samsung smart tv's including this purchase, and this one is the slowest smart tv ever. When trying to access the apps you need to patiently wait until your tv decides to work. It freezes quite often and the hdmi port is really hard to access. I'm probably returning it, if I still can.
