Excellent product. There is a bright red LED on the front panel that begins to glow when the TV is turned off. I couldn't find an option to disable it, and covering it up with black tape made the remote unusable. A compromise was to cover the top part of the LED, which reduced the brightness while allowing the remote to function.

This is my secondary (bedroom) TV - so I really just wanted two things: A good picture and Smart TV apps. Ultimately, I decided to go with this model because I liked that it has HBO go, in addition to Netflix. After much research, I decided that 4K was not needed for a smaller screen, so I just wanted a good full HD picture. I'm content with the picture. The set up was easy. However - the TV completely freezes at the end of about 2/3 of the shows that I watch, either in HBO go or Netflix. The remote will not work, nor will any of the manual buttons. I have to unplug the tv to get it to work again. This was a bargain TV (in my opinion) so I guess I got what I paid for...but I'll be returning this TV and getting something that actually does what they advertise.

The tv was somewhat easy to setup. The instructions were a somewhat uninformative to the beginner. The tv has good picture quality, the remote works as it should. Overall good tv for the price.

Me needing a tv for my room because my other went out on me, I immediately went to Samsung, knowing that they are at the top in displays and in my personal opinion, top tv producer. This tv lives up to what Samsung is known for! Great picture quality with many controls to edit to your viewing needs or preferences. If you don't have a sound bar do not worry, this tv has AMAZING built in speakers! This is probably one of the best sounding tvs I have watched! My only complaint which is just me being picky is it only has 2 hdmi ports but that's not too big of an issue. I enjoy this tv for my gaming and my media viewing! If you're looking for a new tv, this is the one!

Great smart TV, has all the apps I need and you can always download more if needed. Has eco settings, turns off when I'm not watching, great sound as well.

Setup is a breeze. Picture clarity is great. color is realistic. Love the smart TV options. Great buy!

After reviewing many brands in store, this TV has the best picture I could have asked for. Especially in the under 350 dollar price range.

Installed EZ worked exactly as expected, connected wirelessly using 5.6Gz and fixed the download delays for You Tube. Great Smart TV user interface and processor is faster then previous generations. Nice addition to the bedroom.

I had the previous model. Great unit, so I would have written a 5 star review. Four years later, and two months after the Geek Squad warranty expires, the unit begins to die. Contacted support to no avail. Friends and family have bought Samsung and were extremely happy with it; for about four years. Spoke to a BestBuy associate and he said that the life span is between 5 to 7 years. Lesson learned; if they are not to last long, then do not go expensive nor purchase the Geek Squad Service plan...money not well spent.

good quality, good price. Wish it didn't take so long to activate before apps could be used to stream. Not a fan of the motion rate but playing with settings helped a lot. I use HDMI for satellite TV, blu-ray, and miracast. The latter has noticeable picture quality concerns but that could be either the source(Galaxy s6 Edge+ and Galaxy s7 Edge) or the medium. Would love to find out if it's the TV or not. Stand is convenient for placement.

Bought this for our bedroom. Easy set up. Great TV, great picture.

I bought the Samsung 40" SmartTV as a replacement for a Samsung 31" LCD TV whose screen was starting to fail. The picture quality on the 40" is super clear, and the controls are easy to navigate. And although the screen is a 9" difference in diagonal, the overall difference in width between the two tvs is only approximately 2.5" making it a good spacial fit.

The Samsung UN40J6200 HDTV is terrific. I researched the TV online and then went into Best Buy to compare it to other TVs, like LG. The Samsung had a better and sharper picture and a pretty good viewing angle. The fact that it was on sale made it even better.

I was amazed at how easy this TV was to activate, the Source button is great for going between my Xbox One and Cable. Images are very sharp and colors are real rich! This is a great size for my apartment and my budget. I look forward to exploring all the attributes that this TV has, I highly recommend Samsung's TVs!

Good Afternoon, I always try to write these reviews in the hopes of helping someone out. I purchased this TV as a Christmas gift not even two years ago, this past summer I would say just around the start of May the picture gave out. We had no picture only sound, after looking into this and placing a few calls to the Samsung service center they informed me that they could fix it for about $400 not to mention how much it would cost for them to come out and look at it, they wanted $80 just to come to my house. I then contacted PC Richards where I bought the TV. They sent out two guys "Winters Service" the owners company name. The owner of the truck never even got out of his truck, he sent some young looking kid maybe in his early 20's who came into the house looked at the remote tried to turn the TV on and told me "You need to buy a new TV" he then told me "My boss Joe said this house call is $50". $50!? Are you kidding me for what? I could do the same thing and call myself a "PC Richards" "tech". PC Richards "pride" themselves on "106 years" of service then hire guys who don't care about the customers who pay their hard earned money. I was outraged, you think when you purchase a "Sumsung" product your getting the very "best". I placed a few more calls and found a TV repair store willing to change the entire inverter light and panel for $250. After shelling out the $250 the TV was back up and running but talk about a nightmare, do yourself a favor if your thinking about buying this TV "DON'T"! If your thinking about purchasing anything from PC Richards "DON'T"! Not to mention the sound on this TV is awful, can't hear a thing without a soundbar. I hope this review helps. Thanks

It is a great tv. I got it for my grandma. East to set up on tv promrams. However, the mounting of tv stand can be easier.

Purchased this tv a month ago. Thought i was getting a good price and deal. Picture quality is fine however box and online specs state this is 120 motion rate but is really only 60. I had to switch it to sports mode just to get the screen to stop spacing between images. If you're looking for a tv for gaming and sports i don't recommend this product. This happens on regular tv shows. I'm going to see if I'm still in time to return it. This will be my last Samsung product as I've run into issues with a previous tv as well.

I was unsure whether or not this TV was able to connect with the DIRECTV Genie system I have so before purchasing I had a chat conversation. I was told that this TV would work so I placed the order. So, this TV DOES NOT work with DirecTV Genie system and DOES NOT have RVU built in so you WILL have to use a Mini Genie for it to work. I just packed it up and will be returning shortly for a different model. Such a pain, particularly when we are about to flood because of the Brazos River. I got this TV for my son's room since we all may be home for a long time. Lol. So, again, I love Samsung but no RVU on this one.
