Was exactly the size and Smart TV I needed for the bedroom. Easy to put in cabinet and easy to set up and use. Would buy it again.

This is my second Samsung 40 but my first 'smart' one. I decided to try this one because of the 'front speakers'. This one was also very easy to set up. IMO the 'front speakers' aren't really front speakers though. There is a setting for 'wall mount', and it did improve the sound a bit but I find still myself turning the volume up a lot higher than than I do for the other one which is sitting on a stand. No big deal though. The Smart Hub worked well at first. It was a little more complicated to set up than I expected. Then, about three weeks in, the sound problem started. It streams videos fine sometimes, other times the sound cuts in and out. I've checked everything. Nothing else in my house has that problem so I'm guessing it's a Samsung problem. But, the price was right so I'll be moving my Roku to this TV and I expect everything to be fine. The only other problem I have with both TVs is the closed captioning. It's the worst I've ever seen. There's only one setting (?) which is a big black bar with white lettering. I find it very annoying. Still, the price was right. The price on this smart Samsung was not a lot higher than the the first non-smart one that I bought.

I needed a smaller tv for my bedroom and didn't want to spend too much since I'm barely in there. For the price and with it being HD versus 4K, I would say it's a fairly good tv. As a big Samsung TV supporter, I was however expecting better quality on the picture, but then I had to remember that I'm looking at a 1080p HDTV after being use to now seeing all the 4Ks and Ultra HDs. It does have a web browser which I love since a lot of the tvs and devices now just have the apps and not the browser so I couldn't stream things like sunday church service, etc. Plus I got it on sale!

TV has great picture, good clarity and sound. Easy to setup and would buy another one if needed. Samsung makes a great product.

Great picture on this TV. Easy to mount to wall and easy setup to cable and wifi. Nice upgrade over a 32" for a small-med size room.

This is a nice little apartment television. It's not too big or too small. It fits nice on the table I had for it & the sound & quality of the picture is good.

This is probably the best 40" tv for budget. Samsung smart tvs are the best to navigate and this has very nice picture. Fits best for a small/medium size living room.
