I am not at all tech savy. I am a middle aged housewife. So, when we needed a new TV, I went on-line and read all I could about refresh rates and screen clarity. After doing very extensive homework, I settled on this television as my choice. I couldn't be happier!! The picture is great and the colors really pop!! Just make sure to buy a good quality (expensive) HDMI cable. It will make all the difference because it is set up to handle the higher speed of the 4K system.

The Samsung - 40 Class (40 Diag.) - Led - 2160p - Smart - 4k Ultra Hd Tv - Black is a great product. It has extremely sharp pictures and is easy to set-up and use. I love the ease with which it connects to wi-fi. I am looking forward to the release of more 4k videos.

Purchased my first 4K TV and have not been disappointed. Great picture even with content that's quite old. The TV remote is very simplistic and not the easiest to use if you're used to entering TV channels manually. I ended up using my cable provider's remote instead.

Good TV - Poor Viewing Angle

If seeing the TV picture from the side is not important to you, i.e., you look at TV from straight on or only slightly off center, this is a good TV. If you are a Windows/Android user this is a good TV. If you have Apple peripherals, i.e., an Apple Mac wireless keyboard, forget it, It will not sync with the TV. Evidently Samsung is in such competition with Apple on the phone front, that Samsung wants to freeze out Apple whenever it can. If you watch popular streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) this is a good TV. If you want to watch less popular streaming apps such as AcornTV, you must use the built in web browser or a streaming service such as Roku or Apple TV, because the Samsung app selection is limited. The sound for built in TV sound is excellent, but if you want pounding bass, you will have to provide an external sound system such as a sound bar with subwoofer. It's a great bedroom/small room TV

Picture and sound are great. Setup was easy, instructions are clear. Only 4 stars as I was expecting to get access to ACORN TV but it is not available for this model-very disappointing. This was not made very clear on either Samsung or ACORN advertising or websites.

My last TV was a 6 year old LG that maxed at 720p. The price to move up to a 4k smart TV was unbeatable. When I first turned on the TV I was greeted with a harmony of soothing sounds making me feel like I was walking through that gates of heaven or something. The remote is a really nice slender size and it allows me to control my TV, FiOS box and my Xbox seamlessly so I don't understand why people are complaining about it. For the price this is a great upgrade.

Perfect affordable 4k HDR 60hz TV for gaming!

After extensive research for a somewhat smaller 4k HDTV that had HDR capabilities I couldn't find a set that matched the features and specs that you get with the KU6300 series. I purchased the 40" for my desk strictly for PS4 Pro/Xbox one S and PC gaming. This model has the lowest latency you can find on a 4k TV at the moment. Mine comes in about 19ms with gaming mode turned on which is phenomenal for any TV let alone a 4k! You also get HDR10 which may not be the best HDR mode compared to higher end models, but it really does make a HUGE difference in picture quality. Take it from users who have tried it.....it really does make the experience much more enjoyable. You can only achieve proper HDR with UHD color set to "On" in the picture settings and can only be used on HDMI 1. You can get a proper 4k@60hz HDR gaming experience using this method and get full 4:4:4 support for PC gaming as well. Although being stuck to the single HDMI port with UHD color wasn't ideal, buying a $50 Rocketfish 4k HDCP 2.2 HDR splitter, I was able to hook my PS4 pro, Xbox one S and my gaming PC to HDMI 1 which auto switches to the unit that is on with no issues. Upscaling also looks great and 1080p and 1440p picture still looks much better than a native screen. Best settings I have achieved through a ton of tests for HDR and non-HDR gaming: HDR gaming set picture to "Auto" color, Dynamic Contrast to "High" and make sure backlight and contrast is set to max. Non-HDR gaming which is mostly everything.....Set color mode to "Native" and Dynamic Contrast to "Off" but leave backlight and contrast to max. Sharpness from 0 to around 20 was my best preferred option. PC at 20 and consoles at 0..... These settings work well for me and say they would be pretty ideal for most. Smart functionality works as intended and has all the typical apps you would find such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Youtube etc. Menus are quick enough and 4k streaming wasn't an issue even on wireless, but it is not what I use the TV for so extensive tests were not made on my end. I did have to update the TV's firmware 3 times since I have bought the TV only a few months ago...but usually these fix issues and add features so this doesnt bother me. Hope this helps!

I am happy I bought this tv, I read so many reviews before I bought it cause at first I was going to go with the UN40KU7000 series but I saw that when they were compared they offered basically the same function, so I chose this tv and it was even better since I got it on sale and payed $485.58 in all. I thought the remote would've been difficult to use but it was very simple, although because it is smaller and more narrow than previous Samsung remotes which makes it easier to misplace but overall the tv is bright, volume is good, picture quality is excellent...... I just wished the App Store had more apps but other than that Excellent TV.

The 6000 series isn't quite as sharp as the 8000 series, but it doesn't have to be. The 6000 series costs quite a bit less, but you still get good quality for the money!
