From an entirely non technical perspective, this TV is ok, not bad, not great. I also have a Samsung 1080p, 40" and I honestly think that one has a better picture. It doesn't feel like a 4K, but then for $500, I guess you can't expect too much.

We found the picture to be substandard in its quality. The remote for this particular model was definitely not user friendly.
We kept this TV for less than 30 days and returned it.

The tv has a wonderful picture but the screen goes completely black when changing the channel and takes a long time to pull up the next selection. The sound also goes in and out. The sound will just disappear and I have to change channels several times to get the sound back on. It won't allow you to even hit previous program you have to change it to at least 4 - 5 different stations to recover. I should have returned it because this happened from the first week. I had no method of getting it back to the store.

Bought TV and for what I bought it for I'm a little upset because I will not be able to utilize my Xbox to it's full potential. It doesn't have the HDR capability. If I would have know, I would have just upgraded.

The tv was okay for the price but I ended up returning it and going with a Sony 50" that cost double. The 4K picture on the Samsung was not a true 4K. If you can't afford a good tv then this will do.

The picture on this 40 in. UHD Samsung is not as pleasing as the picture on my 4 yr old 60 in. HD Samsung. It seems like it is on soft focus so precision is lost and the color is not as intense.

Though the 40" Samsung flat screen was delivered when I requested, the salesman didn't tell me that I needed an HDMI cable for it. BB took the old tube TV with the and half set-up the unit but I never heard anything further from them. I'm now waiting to pay someone to adjust and fully set up my peripherals for me. Until then, I purchased and hooked up the TV but the picture is too big for the screen
