    Connecting ARC to Vizio TV

    I had trouble with this - so I hope this is helpful. I have have a Vizio M50-C1 and tried to connect with ARC, - no audio. Here was what I did step-by-step. 1. Connect with HDMI cable from ARC channel HDMI port on TV (On my TV it is HDMI 1. It should be labled) to the HDMI OUT (ARC) on the sound bar. I originally put it in the HDMI IN port on the soundbar and that was INCORRECT. 2. On the TV - go to menu -> audio settings and turn off the TV speakers make sure the the digital audio out setting is set to PCM. 3. On the sound bar - press the Auto Power (anyset) button and make sure that it is turned ON. 4. On the soundbar - set the input to Dr 5.on the TV - go to settings (not audio settings) and go to the SCS and set to ENABLED (ARC ONLY). 6. On the TV - Directly below the SCS settings click DISCOVER DEVICES. (The word SOUNDBAR should appear. 7. Audio should now be from the sound bar. If not turn both off and then on again. Once I got this set up it looks and sounds great. I like a fuller sound so I put the bass to +6 and the woofer level to +6. Hope this helps

    Bought product just before closing was told to pick up next morning sound bar I wanted was sold by mistake so I was giving the only one they had left.i paid $160.00 for open box went on vacation when I got back had problem with bar told then I wanted to up grade they said no returns after 15 days was never told this have spent a lot in this store but never again. 17 days after buying it I saw new ones selling for 40 cheaper and new

    I have to bring it back or get it replaced already. Hardly any bass and Bluetooth sub is terrible

    Bought this item at an awesome low price but unfortunately it was defective and i had to return it. The box stated it included everything and was suppose to be complete however it was missing the acessories. Soundbar would automatically volume up and down then power off so we had to return the defective product. Next time ill check the product and package at the store to make sure it comes with what it says

    There was no sound equalizer to fix the muffled sound. The available presets weren't good enough. The Samsung smart connect and Bluetooth connections had worse sound than the HDMI and Optical connections. The Samsung TV worked great with a Sony Bluetooth headphone and a Yamaha home theater system. So just the J450 sound bar is bad. The only thing I can think to do J450 is throw it in the garbage.

    Sound quality is barely louder than my samsung tv. Not worth the money unless you buy 1000 watts or more

    Good Sound Bar

    This is a very good sound bar for the price. I really did not need one but got it for my cure 65''(6700). I seem to always be in the right place where the open boxes are. Practicalley new with all the original clear coating tape on everything in box for 129.00. Hook up was very easy, the TV did all the work after I pluged in. Very clear sound, or course there are better but this one will serve the purpose if you do not want to spend a lot of bucks.

    Bought someone else's open box return and it was a lemon. Best Buy didn't test the device before selling the item back on the market. Samsung was no help and Best Buy took device back but could not honor same price or provide ant discount towards usual stock replacement for customer inconvienance,

    was terrible! Quit working after one day. Returned and store did not have another so tried a different brand. That one quit after3 days. Went to another BestBuy to get a replacement of the original one--Did not work when got home. Returned and gave up.

    I can't write an accurate review of this item. I bought an open box of it thinking I was getting a good deal but it was dead when I got it home and hooked it up. I returned the item and purchased the newer version of it and I love it.

    As elite members and people have always gone to Best Buy for our electronics, and appliances but a after recent experience with them we will no longer ever go to Best Buy again. This sound bar is cheap and the sound is horrific!

    Great soundbar, some audio sync issues

    This is a great soundbar and an upgrade for an older Samsung soundbar. Sounds is fantastic, better than the previous one I had. It is also smaller than older generations - I don't wall mount mine and larger ones block the TV from being able to receive remote commands - this one doesn't and that's great. I've had some issues with audio delays, not easily fixed - although the soundbar does have several options to delay audio. Digital In works much better than HDMI. HDMI ARC worked fine, my TV is older and has some limitations that made it not feasible for me, but it works fine on this device. Another thing to note is that wireless routers can interfere with the wireless subwoofer signal. The general recommendation is not to keep a wireless device like a router within 6 feet of the soundbar itself. Since moving mine, I haven't had any issues. I can't give it 5 stars because of the audio sync issues I've had and the fact that the first one I bought was defective and had to be returned. The packaging is also not that great - it is not a truly rectangular box and the soundbar part sticks several inches out and this in my opinion makes it more susceptible to damage in transit - the box I received from my online order had holes in it as did the one I received for my replacement in store. This keeps me from giving it 5 stars, but it's a pretty good soundbar overall.

    Great upgrade over TV speakers

    Bought this item on a whim on Black Friday at a great discount. I have a 40" Samsung LCD tv in a medium sized living room and wanted to upgrade the sound. My expectations were low but the bar does a great job filling the room with quality sound that travels into neighboring rooms. Factory settings on the subwoofer are weak but can be adjusted adequately. Music sent via Bluetooth from my phone sounds great. Installation was easy but the included optical is only 4 or 5 feet long. I bought an 8' cable to hide in the wall. Great option for entry level sound enhancement especially if you find it on sale. Exceeded my expectations.

    I was looking for a reasonably priced sound bar and this fits the bill with the bonus of a nice performance. The background sound is exceptional and it's nice to finally be able to understand the characters compared to the TV. This synced with my older Samsung TV without a problem.

    I bought this for my family's living room at Christmas, and they have been extremely pleased with the soundbar! My dad loves the wireless subwoofer! Gotta say it sounds great! Plus my father loves to watch country music videos, so he's very happy with it! Thanks again Best Buy!
