purchased this speaker for my iMac so i can play music and watch movies. The quality is superb and fills the entire medium size room. I highly recommend this product for it's ease of use, bluetooth capability, and design.

This bar provides so much better audio quality compared to today's very poor flat panel TV quality. Good base, more than adequate sound level, good selection of inputs and sound effects. A huge reason for buying this model is the HDMI-ARC capability: this is needed to be able to use the TV remote to control volume of the sound bar in place of the TV speakers. Without this, you need 2 remotes to operate your TV (one for the TV and another for the sound bar) which my wife would find unacceptable. However, to do this your TV needs to have one of the HDMI inputs contain this ARC output signal.

Sound is adequate for an entry level wireless subwoofer soundbar. Make sure you place the woofer in a corner for better bass! The manual says by connecting via optical cable you can synch the TV to come on with the soundbar....this did not work with my 2009 Sansung TV. All other advertised features work fine. If you need a soundbar for occasional use this is the one! For a 'full time' soundbar, however, I'd move up a bit. We have this mounted under a wall mounted TV in our workout room.

After buying, did not provide the sound I expected.

I bought this gift for my parents for xmas. it was a great choice but it unfortunately wasn't my first choice. I previously purchased the vizio sound bar at 99.99. The sound quality was good with that bar but there was not source display and i required this for my parents since they dont really know how to use sound equipment. I exchanged the vizio for the samsung and I am extremely happy I did. The samsung is sleek, it has great sound and is a superior product to the vizio. I highly recommend this sound bar to those shopping for a quality product.

I've always been pleased with samsung products and I have to say that this one is one of the best! I picked it up on cyber monday and they had one in the store near me. It was pretty simple to put together and the sound plus all of the features are amazing ex: sports mode, cinema mode, music mode + lot's more. Love it! It's the perfect size for my 50 inch samsung TV. The sound quality is amazing, I did read that if you have an HDMI cord connected as well that it makes it sound even better though I have not tried it yet.

This sound bar provides more than enough power to overcome a weak tv speaker. It allows you to have a much better viewing experience, and without a lot of setup hassle. The subwoofer puts out more than enough bass to let your noisy downstairs neighbours know you are there. 5/5 would buy again.

The sound quality is just what I needed for my small living room. Night and day difference from the speakers on my Samung 60 inch LED TV. Excellent bass and sound quality. Definitely makes a big difference now and watching movies on my TV.

I saved money on an open box TV purchase, so sprung for an open box Samsung audio solution. While the TV audio is ok, this gives just a bit better quality. The sub isn't overly powerful, but hits fine for my needs. I actually backed off the bass and sub a bit as it was overpowering at times. I read a review somewhere regarding someone couldn't get the fiber cable to plug in all the way LOL. Take the plastic caps off. Everything works as planned. Wish my TV was bluetooth to take advantage of SoundConnect but the optical cable provided works fine. It'd be nice to have more inputs/outputs, but this is a budget solution and doesn't have a fancy receiver. The remote is nice but not as sleek as it should be (like the AppleTV remote). The open box item has some scratches and weird wear marks on the top, but that doesn't concern me at all as you can't see them where it's located. So far it really makes the PS4 experience much better. I couldn't be happier. I may spring for a better solution down the road, but for now I enjoy it.

I live in a condo, so I'm polite in keeping the noise down. And this has all that I wanted. I can control the subwoofer sound seperate from the volume. It also has selected volumes like for stereo, and movies. I especially liked the Soundbar size, and the subwoofer fits perfectly behind my TV. Great sound, great price, and perfect for small spaces.

I am new to the Soundbar arena, but I am very impressed with this one by Samsung. Very good quality, and clarity in both the main speakers, and the subwoofer. If I could make one improvement, it would be a bigger subwoofer. It has just enough bass for my enjoyment tho. Overall A

I bought this to pair with my wall mounted TV in the family room. It sounds GREAT as it did in the store however the transition when first turning on the TV and sound bar is not as smooth as I'd like it to be. The sounder flips through it's settings and does not stay on the same mode as it was when turned off which is why I rated it 4 stars. If only I could get it to properly react to the TV when powered on it would be 5 stars all the way. It's perfect if you only have one cord connecting it to your television without using both HDMI IN and OUT for cable box for extra setup. Will continue to play with it though.

I will start by saying that I did return this soundbar for an LG LAS454B, here is why. The subwoofer just doesn't hit as hard as I feel it should, not that I expect it to rattle the house apart, but honestly when bass settings are maxed out it is still lacking. I did find placing the subwoofer in the corner of a room helped some. The biggest issue with it, and it may have been a defective unit, is that some settings I chose would reset when turned off. This means when you turn it back on the next day you need to select your sound effect mode again, adjust the volume, and turn surround sound back on. All other settings remained which doesn't make sense to me, why not remember all of them. I did do the firmware update, but unfortunately it didn't help. I will say the soundbar itself is very sleek and modern looking, the remote is nice, and the digital display provides no nonsense feedback to what you are selecting on your remote. Compared to the LG I replaced it with, the Samsung looks better, but the LG stomps it with far better bass and and no settings related headaches.

Samsung make a great job, exc sound, exc performances, exc clarity, exc voice sound and only need a little more power in the bass. The app for Android is exc. work perfect. In summary exc item with a exc price and exc performance. 5 Star

i wasn't really sure I needed a sound bar but after hearing and I think I need a second from other TV. Great sound easy to operate works with music and TV.The sound bar works easily out of the box. Connecting it wireless to the subwoofer was extremely easy as well, great buy

This sound bar is awesome with good sound quality and woofer. This complements to the new LED TV that we bought and we enjoy with the sound filling the room.

My wife and I spent an hour listening to soundbars before settling on this particular model. When we got it home we became increasingly disappointed with the sound quality. While it does reproduce fairly accurate sound it is extremely heavy on the bass. This may be due to our room layout, but multiple locations brought the same results. Too boomy. The built in sound processing also made watching a movie too distracting. It brings up soft sounds and brings down loud ones to create an even sound level throughout. If this is the sort of thing you're looking for then this is the soundbar for you. I wanted my softer sounds to stay soft and loud sounds loud. I don't want the sound to detract from the movie watching experience because its processing is so noticeable. Connecting this is about as easy as any other soundbar, but I didn't use the Anynet or anything fancy. Just optical. The soundbar does look very nice and the wireless sub connected easily.

This sound bar is fantastic! It is clear and very powerful for the size. Would recommend it to anyone.
