Better than the LG C4
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant between an LG C4 OLED tv, which was the one i saw the most reviews on and a Sony Bravia a90k, which a friend of mine recommended to me and heavily vouched for. I took a good look at both in person and couldnt decide, until i saw the LG C4 was on sale. I purchased the LG and i was somewhat dissapointed as the colors looked washed out and the UI wasnt the best. it felt like using a nintendo wii as its the fastest way to navigate through their okayish UI. I returned it and saw they had a Samsung S90D in stock for the exact same price and decided to pull the trigger and its a night and day differenct. This is directly quoted from RTINGS website when comparing the C4 and the S90D ..... "The Samsung gets brighter in HDR, so bright highlights stand out more on it, and it maintains its HDR brightness better while in 'Game Mode.' The Samsung TV also has a wider color gamut, better color volume, and better HDR gradient handling, so colors in HDR are more vibrant, lifelike, brighter, and have less banding. The Samsung has a wider viewing angle, and the image doesn't have a green tint that worsens as you move off-center, so it's the better choice for watching TV in a group setting. However, the LG supports Dolby Vision and DTS audio formats, so it's the better option for those looking to get the most out of their physical media.".... Almost everything about the Samsung i prefer except the motion clarity. When watching movies or shows on it looks buttery smooth one second, but then choppy for another, but this is my experience on most TV's, but i mainly use it for gaming. On the PS5 and on my pc, games run smooth as it goes to 144hz without needing to overclock. I was hesitant on going for a Samsung because i hardly have seen OLEDs from them but i can safely say the picture quality is better than the LG but the sound quality did seem a tad bit better on the LG but can be improved with an external speaker system. If you value a better picture quality, i recommend the S90D

Super TV but the wrong legs.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This OLED TV has got a fantastic picture. The unique solar powered control takes a short time to figure it out but we like it. It could be a 5 star rating but the set up is hard if you are using DirecTV. Also, you need to join Samsung to use Prime. It lost one star because most of the pictures are NOT correct. The unit has little legs and not the center base which is why I bought it. It looks like the dimensions photo.

Great WhiteOLED Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV only to use it as gaming monitor for my gaming PC setup and over all I’m very pleased with it! I had a budget on what I wanted but this TV has done it all for me. It has all the features you could want from a Streaming TV to Gaming! Sound quality is perfect I was surprised about that and also surprisingly how great the quality of the picture format and gaming format is. It’s definitely a TV to look forward too especially if your looking for WhiteOLED TVs. 144Hz is enough for me to enjoy gaming plus having picture high end oled backgrounds. I hung it on my wall and it looks fantastic with its thin oled screen. I would recommend only if you’re okay with a 42inch screen. It’s very emersive once your eyes get used to seeing this great contrast and colors it produces.

Love this, great purchase, would recommended
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV, I use it for gaming with my PS5 and it's a big upgrade from my previous Samsung 65D. Only complaint is it's a bit too bright, but still better than the lg c4. I recommend this TV and would give it 4.5/5 stars. It's 4k and 120hz with very little response time.

Quality and Great for Gaming Consoles so far
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been playing my PS5 for years in a 2002, Vizio HDTV. I didn’t know what I was missing, until I bought this during a deal. Now, my Samsung J Bar makes my gaming and tv watching #glorious. I highly recommend. The VRR and refresh rate has been great. Sharp and defined when watching Hd and gaming

Replacement TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace the LG I bought three years ago that decided to go kaput. I don't know why I didn't just go Samsung then, I've rarely had problems with any of their devices. I like this one so far, it has really good color and way less hassle setting up. The "smart features" are a little busy, but I normally run content and apps off my XBox anyway. So far, so good.

Great picture from all angles.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little TV. We use it in a 5th wheel at a permanent summer location. Had a QLED TV, but replaced it with this one, because the OLED TV has superior viewing angles. This TV has a great picture from any angle. The only drawback is it has a different version of the Samsung Tizen software that is not as easy to use. It is much easier to change the picture & sound settings on my other 3 Tizen based Samsung's. This one requires a few extra steps to get from point a to point b. However, the picture quality of worth the extra effort. It just makes me wonder what the software engineers were thinking when they changed it. Overall, it's a great TV, even better if you can get it on sale. You won't be disappointed.

Samsung smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV and my second Samsung. Picture quality is incredible and the sound quality is great. I especially like the streaming services included. Remote is solar which is a first for me, but I like that you don't have to use batteries. Set-up was extremely easy.

Xmas gift to myself
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Years of consideration with transient price dips, and disappointmet as they rose again, only to be paralyzed by commitment. All the while OLED tv reviews persistently gleamed and i tortured myself, reddit review by reddit review. Well i did it this year. 42” Samsung OLED for casual/moderate gaming and occasional popcorn night beanbag movie nights. I am SURE an overwhelming quantity of gamers and viewers would concede: this purchase hits home. Not ONCE has buyers remorse set in. I think that speaks for those on the edge as i once was. Short and simple, the tv is dope and the blacks are unreal. Love it. Get it

Crazy TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this TV for about a year now and I can say that I have no complaints so far. I've had no compatability problems with most modern consoles, the only thing that I wish it had were connections for older consoles. Great media player and even without external speakers the sound stage is still acceptional.

Amazing!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv because I was starting to have some issues with my older tv and I have been so happy with it. The picture quality is great and the sound even without a soundbar is pretty good. I have a tiny room so maybe that gives me the benefit but im still very happy with this tv. One thing I did note but its not a huge deal for me is that sometimes after clicking a button, it'll take a second before the tv responds wether thats selecting an app or changing the volume. Other then that I would reccomend this tv to anyone looking for a good tv with a decent pricing.

Excellence and Elegance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung OLED class S90D has a luminosity that gives depth and clarity to the images on the screen. It also has a neat solar-powered remote, with buttons for the main streaming channels. The navigation on the screen is easy, with big icons for most streaming sources. It works equally well with network TV. I had to tweak the image and sound a bit from the settings, and now I am satisfied with both. This TV looks beautiful even when it is turned off. The screen is thin and gleaming black. I was worried about the rickety legs/stand, but they hold all right.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this television, and I love my BestBuy even more. Samsung truly makes the best TVs, bright colors, wonderful 3D images that truly make movies pop. And no, I was not paid by the store to write this review. Lovely display…but
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an oled display so you know what you’re getting—perfect blacks with an infinite contrast ratio and per pixel dimming meaning no blooming. The colors on offer are outstanding here despite the technical shortcomings of woled technology. The interface is a little clunky but it’s responsive enough and easy to navigate. The only drawback here honestly is its lack of brightness. In its most accurate mode, I couldn’t get it to go past 600 nits. That’s just not enough to preserve highlight detail in many hdr scenes regardless of tone mapping. Its competitor gets significantly brighter (by about 200 nits) and is otherwise similar in every other regard (though you get hdr10+ here but no Dolby Vision—hdr10+ seems to be in more games these days). If the brightness difference isn’t an issue for you then you can’t go wrong with either panel though you might as well get last year’s LG model on sale as they get similarly bright and the extra 24 hz of 144 hz vs 120 hz isn’t worth the price difference.

Posted .Simpleshooper,
I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the S90D TV’s picture quality. If the image is too dim, please try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions, as these will automatically adjust your picture and may cause your screen to appear brighter or darker than preferred. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > turn off Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting
You may also want to try adjusting image settings to improve your picture. Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also customize the brightness level of your screen between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
Please also make sure you’ve got the latest firmware version installed on your TV. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
