      Mari,

I am very sorry to see that you had an unfortunate experience with the TV delivered in damaged state.
Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, damage could have been done.

I recommend you contact Best Buy directly for assistance.

I've lost count on exactly how long we've owned this Samsung-over 5 years. The color is exceptional & the quality outstanding! It gets a good workout often working 24 hours a day! Great value, also! This will be a hard set to replace & I hope it will be a long time coming! Thank you, Best Buy!

Quality of the picture is excellent: colors, brightness, contrast, resolution all are good. Audio quality also is good but a level of maximum volume may be a little limited. Assembling is simple and easy. Low weight is also plus. There are several choices to select input signals that provides the user some flexibility with installation. The Smart remote designed probably only for Smart people. Printed User Manual is almost useless. For the most needed information you have to reach e-Manual embedded in the TV and read it on the screen. This is inconvenient because for just opening e-Manual it is needed to press three time remote, then find what you need and then go back to TV and try. If you are lucky and Smart you will be done, otherwise repeat the attempt. And when you learn how to operate on TV then you enjoy the good pictures and sound! As for the Best Buy service, it was perfect! I am completely satisfied and grateful.

I'm pretty happy with my purchase. They were sold out in the store, so I had to order on line. It was delivered quickly and painlessly. The TV itself is good. Decent sound and picture. A slight upgrade from the 7 Series, for a modest price. Set up was very interesting and menu driven with a Q&A to get connected. Once that was done it only took a few more minutes to fine tune the picture to my needs. I use an antenna for OTA content and the tuner seems solid enough to pickup the majority of the stations. The biggest frustration is the lack of numbers on the remote. It takes forever to scroll through the channels if you want to go from one side of the spectrum to the other. Other TV's do it so this problem is not unique to Samsung. Just be forewarned.

For the price I paid, this TV is super buy! Quality of picture is awesome and soooo crisp. I use it to connect my laptop to do Zoom meetings, project spreadsheets, and watch Netflix. Set up process was simple and easy. Only one con I have is the remote control. Probably me, but I can't seem to figure out how to go back to main screen from Netflix. I will need to go through the manual again. Samsung app on TV, if you have an account, allows you to access inventory of movies and TV shows.

Good features & picture; terrible standby feature

Pros: Great features such as Samsung TV Plus which gives you hundreds of free tv channels once you have connected to your internet. This tv also has good picture quality, as well as sound. I did not purchase any sound bar with this TV, and it does not need it. Cons: My biggest (daily) gripe with this TV is the fact that when you "power off" the tv, it does not actually turn off, it just goes into standby mode. I'm not exactly sure how to turn it completely off, I only know how to hard restart it (by holding the power button). The issue this has created is that my streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu will not play unless I do a hard restart on the tv. This is because when I turn the tv "off" (actually standby), I guess the streaming services freeze up. I cannot "turn on" my tv in the morning and start watching any of my streaming services, until after I do a hard restart -which restarts all the apps. I have to do a hard restart every day in order to watch my streaming content. This is extremely aggravating to me. Also, upon my first experience with this issue, I could find no support from Samsung or in the manual about what could be wrong. When you attempt to play your steaming service, it simply gives you an error message that says to go to streamingservice.com/support. I had to google the issue and found a Samsung forum with users that were able to show me how to do the hard restart on the tv- and then everything works again. Unfortunately I have to do this every. single. day. or the steaming services will not play. SAMSUNG- PLEASE GIVE US AN UPDATE TO FIX THIS ERROR.

II really like my new 43" Samsung TV. The picture is amazing and it has great sound. The remote is super easy to operate and having the smart TV functions makes it so I can use my Apple TV box in a different room. Setup was really easy including adding Amazon, Apple TV and Disney Plus. I also liked the stand. The open feet allow me to tuck the Blu-ray player and cable box underneath the TV for more room.

Good choice for a computer display

I purchased the 2020 43" Samsung TU8000 to use primarily as a computer display for work and PC gaming. I own a 49" version of last year's RU8000 as well that I use for the same purpose. Both perform very well as computer displays. I docked 1 star from the the new model because it does have some noticeable gray uniformity issues on the edges that last year's model does not have. Otherwise I'm finding it to be comparable to my experience with the RU8000. Considering the TU8000 is roughly 40% cheaper than last year's model, it's a fantastic value. I also appreciate the simple, sleek design of Samsung's remote controls. Note: Some reviewers have noted that the TU8000 lacks the 120Hz panel and variable refresh rate that the RU8000 had last year. I haven't found this to be an issue when it comes to using the TV as a computer display, even for gaming. Most video cards still can't push more than 60fps at 4K resolutions anyway. The RU8000 was also considerably more expensive.

    Works Better Than Expected

Finally broke down and bought this for the bedroom. For $350 it works much better than expected. The WiFi is much stronger than I expected, picking up extenders located on the first floor and the main router signal at the other end of the house. So far, zero signal drop. I bought a pair of Sony wireless headphones with this realizing I never checked if Bluetooth was supported. It is. Quick set-up in the Audio settings had the headphones connected in less than a minute. The included voice remote supports both Bixby and Alexa and has NetFlix and AmazonPrime buttons to seamlessly move between services. It isn't necessary to "wake-up" with the "Alexa" command on the remote so it cohabitates nicely with the Echo Dot on the nightstand. Add this to Alexa's list of devices and you can display your live Ring Camera images on the big screen significantly faster than they render on the Android phone app - nice feature. Bunch of pre-installed apps, however Sling wasn't one of them - simple search for SlingTV had the app installed in minutes. I don't have any TV services and will be replacing the HD antenna on our main TV and putting that on this TV so I can't comment on any cable TV or external device connections to this TV just yet. The picture and sound are fine, let's not get wrapped around the axle on these features - I watched a movie last night and the picture was great and the sound (particularly voice) quality was perfect at a very low volume. The TV is super light making it easy to move for cleaning or hang on the wall. The remote is simple in nature but provides all the features you need in your hand. Overall I'm exceptionally satisfied with this TV and I suspect you will be too, my only hope is that it continues to perform at this level long term.

    TV's as Monitors

I have two of these and they are used as the monitors for my desktop PC. They are clear, even close up, and the very thin bezel around the outside of each screen is really small. Samsung has gone to a new remote system, and sometimes turning on the "monitors" with the remote, turns on the other Samsung TV nearby. So I take advantage of them being smart TV's. I have them linked so I can turn them on and off with my cellphone.

Purchased to replace the main tv in our motorhome, right now replacing our kitchen/dining room TV. Looks so good I may have to buy another one for the coach. Super easy to set up and use. Doesn't require a Samsung account to set up as some have stated. So far no problems. Only downside is the supplied remote. Don't like it at all. I am amazed how good the standard speakers sound, will not need a soundbar for the kitchen.

Samsung 43” LCD with Crystal UHD is excellent

I recently purchased this TV after first trying out a similarly priced LG. The difference is significant. The Samsung has two huge advantages over a competing similarly priced LG (LMV203ST) which I had first tried out but was not happy at all with the picture - as I had a Plasma display prior to this. 1. This Samsung LCD display renders an absolutely beautiful picture of the highest quality and displays rich deep, true colors, which, for me, is superior (as was my old plasma) to the similar priced LG. That initially tried. (Thanks Best Buy, for the ease of returns). The picture richness holds color and is especially true viewing off center and even at sharp angles. 2. The intelligent and intuitive Samsung Smart Tv functions are a relief to the cumbersome hard to navigate LG smart tv functions. As LG’s were difficult to find what I was looking to select. A bonus is the included super simple remote control device which is quite easy to use, even though certain buttons are used in multiple ways. But it’s actually easier than locating one button on a remote that is grossly covered in a mass of little buttons. And one more bonus, you can control many Smart features via Voice command. This was, so far, a true Best Buy.

We love this TV. In fact this is the second one we have purchased of this model. Our other one is larger but otherwise the same Series model. The newer one actually has a little bit better remote. Never had any trouble with it. It’s got a great picture. It’s easy to set up and affordable. Sound, like most smaller TVs could be a little better but it’s not bad in my opinion. We are planning to use a sound bar anyway.

Thanks to our brother who encouraged us to upgrade and to our son who helped install it and also encouraged to by this tv !!! The picture is very clear and the color too - we can't say enough about how perfect this tv is - so glad we took this step to upgrade :) :) :)

Let me preface this by saying I don’t know much about TVs or what to look for when buying one or what makes it great. I was thinking of going with the 32” QLED that was around $500 but I figured I would give this one a try being that it was cheaper and I haven’t the faintest clue what the difference is between Crystal UHD and QLED and was not even sure if I would care. I read some things about how light would bleed on this model whenever there were black bars and as a frequent movie watcher, I hesitated. But, being that I could always return it if the picture quality was not up to my preferences, I decided to go ahead with the purchase. I kept the big box and all the plastic on it for the first week and watched a few movies. The light bleed was almost indiscernible and I was so relieved as I was expecting it to be worse. I had also read a few reviews mentioning a small red light behind the screen. I inspected every inch to find that mine did not have this issue, either. I have had this TV for a month now and I love it! I also love how it doesn’t get too warm after it’s been on for hours! My last television might as well have been a heater too, haha. Overall, I definitely think this TV was worth it for its price! The only con is the remote. We also have an older Samsung smart tv; maybe two or three years old and I love it’s remote. This one is so tiny and I hate that there’s no exit button to leave settings or applications quicker.

We just installed our new Samsung 43" TV and are thrilled with the color, clarity and sound. However, for two seniors, the remote has taken awhile to learn how to operate and we're only in the baby steps stage. We needed a tutorial but this wasn't offered or suggested. We're looking forward to our Smart TV and all the programs it has to offer for many years to come.

Nice TV for the money. It has a nice picture. We don't need anything fancy. It was easy to set up. Fairly easy to use. This TV comes with Samsung Plus for no fees for using it. It's built in to the Tv. I like this feature. The only negative for us is that there are no numbers on the remote. Which I guess that's the norm now. Very satisfied with the product.
