Longtime Samsung TV guy. Very critical when it comes down to audio/visual products.
Wow! Beautiful picture. All the bells and whistles in this price range.
Set-up is so easy. It senses what it is hooked up to!!
Tiny, minimal remote with shockingly few buttons! Yes, a disappointment. But after a while I figured it out. Took me a long time to figure out how to switch from main HDMI input (DishTV) to A/V input (DVD) input. Manual is very basic. Never covered that last subject about how to switch inputs!
But with enough trial and error, it’s all good!
Sound is good to almost very good. But audiophiles may be unimpressed. Still sound is decent for your average non-musician, etc.
Conclusion: Beautiful picture, easy set-up, very good sound for the average guy, a great TV, especially at a this low price!!

Bought this TV to replace one in bedroom. Fantastic picture. Easy to set up. Smart TV has good features. Good sound for TV speakers. Two minor drawbacks. On audio out on TV is via optical connection. Wish had conventional RCA jacks for audio out. Second wish that remote had button for sleep function. Only way I have found to access is by going into setup menu which can be cumbersome. If not for these two minor drawbacks would have given TV 5 stars.

Nice picture, easy to set up and connect with wi-fi. Overall, it's what I was looking for for my first smart TV. Draw back is that the remote has buttons for Netflix and Prime which I don't subscribe to and never will. You can down load free tv apps through the app feature. One more drawback is that it doesn't tell you how to customize your app menu but I figured it out any way.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, our existing LG 43" was killed and we needed a replacement - thankfully Best Buy was having their usual Black Friday sale. I've bought a couple larger versions of Samsung's 8 series (47" and 50") TVs and have been very happy with them both. After getting this one set up we ran into one issue - the Mediacom cable box could be controlled with the TV remote (which I thought was pretty cool) but will power off the cable box when the TV is off, which prevents the cable box from recording shows when we aren't watching TV. I solved this by using the component input on the TV, so the 'control' is managed through the HDMI cable (should you have a similar issue). The picture is great, and if my folks hadn't had issues understanding the sound I wouldn't have gotten a soundbar as the built-in speakers are more than adequate for most viewing. Overall these TVs get smarter every year and easier to set up. I am very happy with the TV and would highly suggest getting one of these should you be in the market.

I was in the market to purchase a new monitor that was at least 1440p which would double for use while working and for gaming with an Xbox One X. After a ton of research, and considering cost, this was the best option.
Although it is bigger than what a typical monitor using this for work has been incredible. Its like having four 21.5” 1080p monitors without needing all the cords. So much screen real estate to keep all the programs I need without having to alt tab through them or to worry about vesa mounts
For gaming with the One X, impressed. The lag time at 4K is less than 10ms and the picture is clear, with great colors and contrast. HDR isn’t the best, and it’s still 60hz refresh rate, but at this price point you can’t go wrong. If I were to go with a 4K monitor, or even a 1440p with similar picture quality, I’d be spending at least double than I did for this TU8000. Not to mention it would have been half the size.
Highly recommend for casual console gaming and for work.

TV is great. Resolution is electrifying. However, there is this 1 problem where the TV freezes on me every once in a while. It mainly happens when I'm playing the game but it has happened while I was watching television. The volume levels isn't always consistent as well .

Overall amazing tv. Prefect size for a bedroom and awesome smart TV. It would probably also be excellent in a living room unless you sit super far away from your tv (then you’d just want a larger screen, no fault to the quality of this tv). Works well with Google Home, and virtually nothing negative I can say. The ONLY thing I wish it had was native 120 Hz instead of the fake 120 that Samsung products have, but you won’t find any TV with 120 native for this price, so I wouldn’t knock anything off of my review because of that. Used primarily for gaming (Series X) and streaming with the apps included in the tv (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, Amazon). Every day I feel like I’m discovering more cool little things it can do. I know it can connect to phones to play music but I haven’t tried that out much. Ambient mode is cool, but seems sorta unnecessary. Still not a bad addition and it doesn’t detract from the tv at all. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

This 43" Samsung was the perfect size for the room we installed it in. Great picture, and smart features. Our only complaint is the remote control...needs to be lit up to see in darker situations. Very simple, multi-task remote. The TV was very easy to install and set up.

I have been really pleased with the quality of this TV. Picture is above average and I can get to my apps in one click. The only improvement I'd like is the remote. You can't instantly input the channel you want but have to scroll through the channels.

This TV has one of the best quality pictures I've ever seen... However this is one of the slowest TVs I've ever owned... sometimes it takes forever just to turn the thing on... the remote control is pretty simple... I would prefer a little bit more complicated remote control for such a complicated TV... but the Bixby voice assistant is pretty cool.. You can tell the TV to perform almost any function... took me forever to figure out how to change the source... Turns out you talk to the remote control to change the source...

Purchased this model, because they did not have the one I intended when at the store. Very happy with the beautiful picture and all around quality. Sound is also great without needing additional tools. This is used in our bedroom, so only for about 2 hours at night and occasionally during the day. Been very satisfied with Samsung TVs as previously purchased. The only flaw I find is the remote, it is a very sleek design but does not have a keypad with numbers only up and down to control. I have it synced with my cable box, but have to use that remote to go to a specific channel. I do appreciate that it came loaded with most of the up to date apps, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and many more. So no need for a firestick also.
Great price point also, found a model less at another retailer for more.

I'm a long-time Samsung user. From phones, to tablets, to TVs - heck, even washers and dryers! Anyway, this is my 4th Samsung television. When I needed a decent sized TV for my bedroom, I knew I wanted a Samsung, but 40"+ was the perfect size. I found the 43" at Best Buy at a very reasonable price for the 4k UHD LED w/ HDR.
The picture is crisp, clear and the blacks are deep. The small remote is easy to use to navigate the menu. I love the built in apps and the ambient mode is great as well as playing music from my smart phone though the TV with great visuals that respond to my music.
I used curbside pickup. It was fast, simple and the personnel were extremely friendly, taking great care with my merchandise. A+ guys, thank you.
I'm going to be purchasing a new BIGGER Samsung smart TV for my living room very soon from Best Buy.

I absolutely love this TV. I've been a faithful Vizio customer, but I got a great deal on this TV and couldn't pass it up. All I can say is wow. You get like 500 FREE internet channels that are pretty decent. If it wasn't for my mother living with us, we would be OK ditching cable and just using the streaming apps and free channels. The picture is great. The volume is ok. It could be better, but most TVs nowadays have to be up at like 35 to be able to hear them. We only use this set in our bedroom so not a huge deal. If you plan on using it in the living room, then I would definitely recommend getting the soundbar as well. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. If any other TVs need to be replaced in my home in the future, I will be purchasing Samsung again.

I'm a loyal Samsung customer and have had their televisions since 2008. I've bought the 53-60" ones at big prices, and have loved them......and now I bought this 43" for my bedroom. For the price, it has good picture quality and the sound is fine. If you want sound to brag about, get a sound bar.....these are tiny speakers. My complaints about the TV are the legs/base and bluetooth pairing. Gone are the days of the weighted pedestal where the TV would never tip. Now, we have 2 tiny legs that span 9 inches.....so the tipping hazard is real. Regarding bluetooth pairing, I have a set of beats wireless headphones. They pair very well with my iMac, iPad, and other devices, but for this TV.....not so much. I got the TV to recognize the headphones, and it paired with the headphones.....and when I turn-on the headphones, a box on the TV pops-up asking if I want to use the headphones. I click yes and the TV sound turns-off, but no sound comes from the headphones. Out of about a dozen times, I've only gotten them to play TV sound twice. I wish this was easier.

As for picture quality this television is a 10. I'm currently using only the television's speakers, and I can't complain about them either. The remote, however, is a real disappointment. It's like serving a $100 steak with a $2 wine.
For some reason not all of the too few buttons are functional, and of those that are, they often don't do their job. For example, when trying to navigate the channels within the Guide a random channel will popup on the screen, a channel nowhere near the channels listed on the screen. Other times when I'm trying to navigate up the channel listing the guide will simply quit.
This remote's performance is made even more disappointing due to the fine performance of the remote of my previous Samsung television; it was the complete performance of that television that steered me to another Samsung television.
Bottom line: the television itself is very good, but Samsung laid a Vermont volleyball when it comes to the remote control. Your experience may be different, but it's totally because of the remote control that I'm saying no to "recommend to a friend."

The picture is just great. Setup was basically just take it out of the box and plug it in.
TV boots up, recognizes my wifi and after signing in configures our Fios connection.
This TV replaced a 10 year old set that was wall mounted in our bedroom. I used the existing brackets but had to get new mounting screws / bolts as the ones for the old set were smaller.
I use the Fios remote for on / off, volume and channel functions. But still use the Samsung remote for the timer as the Fios remote can't control that.
Purchased during Black Friday promotions and feel that I got a good deal. Best Buy price for this class 8 TV was the same as other stores in area for the same set but in a class 7.

I purchased this TV for my home office. The picture is incredibly sharp. The smart tv functions work flawlessly. And I’m shocked that I could get all this for such a reasonable price. I’d buy it again.
