The picture quality for this model seemed the same as a lower end models that I had seen at the store. The remote control was very cumbersome and difficult to operate.  I took it back for a less expensive model with a numeric keypad.

Picture is great, setup is ok if you have a samsung account already. the problem is that after 10 Months 1/2 of the screen went dim, then a day later the whole thing went.
Getting through the samsung repair process is a nightmare.

I bought it on December 2021, its julio 2024 and i had to fix the screen 2 times the leds, very bad serie 8000, i do not recomend it also i have a 65 and 43 inches and both sre bad

I bought is TV the first day is was available to order on BestBuy.com. I almost purchased the QN43Q60AAFXZA model which was more expensive but was hesitant after reading reviews of the sounds quality.
I replaced my 15 year old Sony Brava with this unit. A few things you should know-
1. Sound quality is awful. Even after following Samsung’s instructions on how to improve the sound.
2. After mounting on my existing mount the power cord is to short. Seems Samsung is cutting costs with shorter cords then Sony had previously used. Not sure how I will handle this yet.
3. Remote is not compatible with DTV Wireless Genie. I went through 20 programming settings and none of them work with the remote included.
4. DTV Wireless Genie is now extremely slow on this unit. It is placed in the same place as it was with my Sony TV but on this unit there is a sluggish lag for some reason.
Overall, great picture but based on the issues above I am considering removing it from the wall, boxing it up, and returning it.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung AU8000 Smart 4K TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your remote control. You may first want to check to see if your batteries are working. Next, you may want to contact your cable company to see if an upgraded box is available. Please also be sure that the distance between the cable box and TV is not too far apart. Then, follow these steps:
1) Reset the connection of your remote by going to Source > Universal Remote Setup 2) Select New Device 3) Choose the Device Type on the TV screen 4) Follow the instructions on the screen to finish setup
Your TV and the remote will memorize the external device and its connection port (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.) to make controlling everything even easier.
Note: Occasionally, the device may not respond after it's registered. To make sure the connection is made, you need to re-register the device.
To improve your audio experience, there are several sound settings on your TV you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences.
Change the Sound Mode by going to: Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings
The lag issues you are experiencing may be related to your network connection and quality. We suggest you try the following:
1. Use 5G Wi-Fi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings- Support- Software Update, then select Auto Update.
Additionally, to optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.

Never stated it didn’t have a remote or the correct cord, I will never purchase by curbside again. Didn’t say it was a shelf product. And I’m not happy. LED SCRATCH
