Great Deal with Open Box

It’s very thin which is exactly what I was looking for. I bought this Open Box in Excellent condition. There was one tiny piece of damage on the backside, but this will be used in a personal project, so the damage doesn’t bother me. Well worth the discount of an Open Box purchase.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I bought on open box TV in "excellent" condition that is supposed to have all original accessories and packaging. The TV was delivered quickly, but without the stand, which I needed to set the TV on a dresser. I'm understanding, everyone makes mistakes. Here's where the real problem starts. I call my local Best Buy, like I have done 100 times in the past, but apparently not recently. Instead of my local store, my call is sent to a "call center" I'm guessing in Mexico. Local stores NO LONGER TAKE PHONE CALLS!! I ended up calling 3 times and each person had a thick Mexican accent and were hard to understand. The first person gave me the wrong information and disconnected. The second person was very helpful and explained some things to me that made sense--for the most part. But, his department couldn't solve the problem, so he transferred me to someone he said could. After waiting on hold for a THIRD time in 20 minutes, a person listened to me and said I had the wrong department and he would connect me to the correct department. A couple clicks later and my call was disconnected!! I called back a THIRD time, and after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up completely frustrated. During this fiasco, I was told that my local store could not fix the problem and simply provide me a stand for the TV. Because my local store did not ship me the TV, they were not responsible for helping with any problems; the store that shipped me the TV is responsible for correcting the missing parts. Now, back to the part about local storea not taking phone calls. I am UNABLE TO CALL the store that sent me the TV to ask them to send a stand that they didn’t put in the box!!! And, this store is about 80 miles away from me and well over an hour drive each way!! What's the point of being a national chain if conveniently located stores cannot help you if an item came from a different store. BEST BUY!! You can and MUST do better. I see the same lowering of standards and customer support that SEARS started doing before they nose-dived and went out of business. With such horrible customer service Best Buy, I may as well just buy my electronics on Amazon!! Oh by the way, the TV is great!! Heading out to my l8cal store to see if they will "break the rules" and help me.

Sharp Picture for the money

Let down

From past experience it was a no brainer to get another Samsung. There were several price options to choose from so I decided to get the more expensive model. I brought it home wired it up, plugged it in and spent some time figuring out the menus. I was shicked that some channels looked blue some green and some pink. I turned off all “auto” settings, tuned into a known great picture quality channel. I dialed in the picture and things looked great until it went to a commercial. The image either looked washed out on some or dark and lacking contrast on others. I still had issues with the tint on different channels. I never had this much problems with my old Samsung. Additionally, this tv lacks an audio out. Seeing all of these issues, Im going to return it and get something else and save some money.
