I am very happy with this purchase. You water a little more money but the cuality is absolutely better. I bought 2 ones before and have tu returned. The sound and the definition are the best. And the person who assisted me the last time was absolutely wonderful and helpful. He knows about that and suggest me this one. And he was right!!!! Absolutely. Thank you

The picture on this Samsung is very clear. Other reviews mentioned that the sound was not very good, but at least for me, the sound seems very good as well. The smart TV software is adequate, but could be a bit easier to use. I also liked the fact that as you move the channel up or down you see a summary of what is currently being broadcast on that channel.

The picture is crystal clear and it was easy to mount on the wall.

1. My son was over and said the tv did not look like hdtv. I said to him that when the basketball players are moving fast sometimes they look fussy, but they are moving slower or a commercial comes on thre screan appears high def. 2. For the hearing impaired, i have a Cochlear implant / so i like to see the words incase i miss something. I purchased the tv based on the fsct that the remote has a closed cap button. I set the tv up and pessed the button. No closed caption. I read info online. No one seemed clear to me at that time. I called Samsung. They said the problem was not with the tv but with the cable box. I called the cable company. They took me thru a couple sessions which I did not understand. I called samsung acouple more times. The last time the representative hung up on me / left mr on hold. I went back to the store and asked the guy I who i purchased the tv from if he could help me with the closed caption setup. He said he did not know anything about it. In the meantime, I had also purchased a sound bar from another sales guy because I had read that the Dolby system decompresses the cable signal for better HDTV experience. This guy said that the hd cable decompresses the picture only for better viewing and that the sound bar has a dolby system to decompress the sound for better listening. Now back to the closed cap setup: I had considered returning the tv and going elsewhere to buy a 48" HDTV / forget about smart tv. Because I already have two more smaller flat screrns that when I press the closed caption button on the remote control the cc comes on and when i do not want the cc, i press the cc button and it goes off. Next, I did a series of test with my tvs. And I found that I had hdtvs but i was using coaxle cable to transmitt the picture and sound from the cable box / set top box to the tv. So, I hooked the hdtv/smart tv cable box up to this samsung 48", and got picture & closed caption but no sound. I then tried a coaxle cable box snd got picture and sound. I went back to the store best buy, to buy a coaxle cable to hook up to the tv incase I wantef the closed cap. This time I asked a Brother if he could help me select a coaxle cable sothat i could make the cc work. He was very helpful professional and informative. He asked which type of cable company remote control I had. I pointed the one out (there were 3 on display). He said to press the xfinity button and when set up comes up press closed caption. He nicely demonstrated the setup with a tv. He explained to me that this works with the hdmi cable so i won't lose picture quality and I also get sound. He knew his product. So the cc is basically on the top or bottom of the screen and does not interfere with the picture. So i also have my smart tv features netfliks& youtube, dvd, and sound bar

This was the second 48" Samsung tv we bought, we returned the first. It was not a smart tv. The first just wasn't loud enough, didn't have enough volume ! There was a noticeable difference between them. This tv has a decent level of volume, treble, and bass, without the use of add on sound bars/equipment. The first tv (a different model # } didn't. Haven't used the smart features at all, can't comment on them.

Love the picture and the ability to go online and use apps on it.

This was an open box purchase and the price was excellent. I could not be happier. The sound and picture qualities are excellent, easy set up and navigation. The only issue I had was when trying to add apps to the SMARTHUB, even though my internet was fine, I kept receiving an error message. I found an easy fix online that resolved the issue.

I bought this on sale over the Holidays right after Black Friday. Easy to set up and great picture. I decided on this as I have cable TV and get HD but not 4K broadcasts. Besides, I upgraded from a 30" Toshiba tube model that was about 20 years old so this new TV is light years ahead of what I had. My wife mostly watches this in the morning.

The tv is very clear and has many features that are awesome

This is my first smart TV and I was impressed how easy it was to set up. Also, the picture is great and I trust Samsung for value across their TV line. Sales Associate at Best Buy also recommended this unit.
