What a great picture! Easy install on the wall, only 2 wires from the TV, recognized my cable company with no problem, connected to my Samsung sound bar no problem, changes channels by voice(I think it kind of has to learn your voice) one small remote. It's a great TV! I'm glad I purchased it. I could have gotten a larger cheaper one but this size is just right for my living room and a newer model, Watch which series # are offered on sale

The tv was easy to get setup. The 4hdmi inputs on the single cable are great for keeping everything organized. Using a Xbox one s to watch 4K movies. The picture is amazing not to mention with hdr turned on you can see things you have never seen before. The new smart remote is much smaller and easy to use compared to old remote.

We got the 65" for Christmas, bright, clear picture and brilliant colors, fast and easy to set up and use, we liked it to much we got this smaller one for our upstairs lounge. For us it was the best non-OLED picture we saw, nearly as good as OLED, but for hundreds less with a great Open Box price. Couldn't be happier.

Fantastic picture quality. Upscaling on standard definition and 1080p content is amazing. Smart TV features and apps enable true cableless experience, although hard wired Ethernet connection works best. Remote is intuitive and simple. Sound is rich and full, providing enjoyable viewing without soundbar.

If you are going to buy a 4K TV make sure it includes HDR capability. HDR is new tech in the market and streaming services are starting to produce content. This samsung has a great picture and is very easy to use and set up. I haven't set up my Xbox one yet to view the picture on a HD Blue Ray.

Love this TV and its features. Looked up some settings online and did an initial setup with them. Most of the change that I saw was from changing the picture from "Standard" to "Movie" (as I recall), vast improvement. Anyways, great picture, easy setup, and love the simple remote. Just as an example of how well the remote works, you can set the cable channel number using a verbal command from the remote. Nice. I don't have any 4K/UHD media yet, but everything looks great on this TV, black blacks and white whites *smile*. Even the upscaling of SD channels is good. Don't see any ill effects from the edge lighting this TV uses.
The Smart TV features, like Netflix and Amazon apps, work really well. Haven't had any problems yet, just a great picture, the native sound is fine, and allows plugging in pretty much whatever you need via the 4 HDMI inputs, plus USB and ethernet ports.
Would recommend this TV.

One of the best pictures that really make deep dark pictures pop. One of our new favorites 'Man in the High Castle' really looks great on UHD HDR. Sound is good but bought a sound bar code better bass. Smart features and remote make the experience seamless.

You won't get a better picture quality at this price point. Just not going to happen. Awesome in bright rooms too. Problem is with the connectivity of the internet.. for me at least. Every few days it just won't connect to the internet. Connects to the network, just not to the internet. Drove me nuts, but found a work around. Usually if i do hard restart that will solve the problem for a few days (unplug power at TV, plug back in). Not ideal but it works. Or just switch to the ROKU instead of the built in apps. I have 4 ROKU and 2 Apple TV, all connected to the same network, none ever loose signal. I have this TV in 3 sizes, all of them do the exact same thing on my network. So please get on that Samsung, this TV is too good to have such silly software issues. In the end, picture quality and price totally worth the small pain of having to hard restart a few times a week.

This is the best 4k TV currently on the market for the price, and it is exceptionally good for gaming. It has a low input lag, Game mode, HDR mode, and makes a great Smart TV. TV Interface is awesome, and the remote is really nice.

My 5-year old Phillips 40-inch "smart" TV was working just fine. But after seeing 4K's at every store selling them for months, I started looking at some of the models online and in stores. Would have settled for a nice 43-48-inch Sony or Vizio for about $700; the new LG OLED's were too big and just way out of my price range at nearly $4-5k, but then I saw this one for about $1100. Incredibly thin, great size for a bedroom. I love that the picture fills the screen from edge to edge, making the most of its size with absolutely no wasted space. The picture quality is superb from any distance or viewing angle (especially after calibrating it, using a couple of online recommendations.) I have to say, the colors look much more rich and vibrant in the dark; but that is when I do most of my watching anyway, so not a big deal for me. Still, with lights on or during the daytime glare, I have no complaints with this TV. Sports and dark movie scenes look truly impressive to me on this thing, and no noticeable screen lag when playing games. Real "smart" TV functions on this thing such as automatic source reading and universal remote set-up with my cable, Apple TV, Playstation, and sound bar (love this feature!) if I can find a flaw at all, it would be the two individual stands at the ends of the TV, rather than a traditional single piece in the center. Definitely not a deal-breaker, just more of an annoyance and it limits the types of tables/stands that can be used. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I got 24-months interest-free financing with Best Buy. Definitely worth the few hundred dollars more than I was hoping to spend on a relatively optional upgrade. I have not had a Samsung before, so I hope it lasts as long as my trusty old Phillips!

This is my first 4k TV, and having pined after the LG OLED for a couple of years, I decided to do a ton of research and could not justify spending an additional 1,500 dollars based on the overly enthusiastic reviews for the Samsung KS8000. I decided to take a shot and am thoroughly impressed! This is a huge step up from my LG 1080P tv, supports HDR, and the game mode is incredibly fluid if you like gaming such as myself. Can't recommend this TV enough!

Front view picture quality is excellent and it is very easy to use the menu. Voice control is good but would like more features useable by voice control. Small size remote appreciated. Easy set up. As with most TV's like this, viewing from the side is poor but better than other LED TV's. For the price we paid, even though on sale, should have included 3D.

Bought this after massive amounts of research on which tv best supports 4K HDR on Xbox One, and this was by far the front runner. Minimal input lag and motion blur are perfect for gaming/movies. Plus the picture quality was almost as good as the best TV available at the time which is thousands of dollars more expensive (an LG OLED tv) My only gripes would be 1. The screen is remarkably fragile (the first one I bought was broken when I opened it) 2. Lack of a swivel stand in combination with gripe #1 can be a hassle. And 3. SOMETIMES, the Reds and blues bleed for a fraction of a second. Usually on extremely colorful games (eg sunset overdrive) it's rare, and kind of a nit picky thing, but it does happen.

Great TV - No documentation about HDR

The TV rocks. It is UHD Alliance certified as "UHD Premium," which means it meats the Alliance's requirements for quality HDR (high dynamic range). However, HDR is only available in Movie mode and there is nothing at all in the Samsung manual about HDR. That is a most curious contrast with the sales pitch - and there is much misinformation and lack of information about this cutting edge feature in that no one I met in the store, including the Samsung rep., could (correctly) explain how it works, or how the owner would engage HDR on an HDR encoded source.
So with that in mimd, be aware that all the Samsung sets you will see at Bestbuy are set to Dynamic Picture Mode, not Movie mode, and while that looks very flashy in the brightly lit store, it's probably not the mode you will use at home, and it's certainly not what the experts recommend. Whether or not HDR is actually engaged in this picture mode, this "torch" mode sure gets attention in the store.
The Smart features are all there so no need to purchase a separate streamer and the new "plug 'n play" capability of the 2016 Samsungs make set up a breeze and insures that you will likely need nothing more than the TV remote to operate just about anything you can connect to the TV.
This set is an adventure in the best of 2016 TV technology and you absolutely cannot go wrong with the picture and features. Just realize that the home audio/video industry is going through a real transition this year as new hardware and software standards compete for the future. Right now no set, from any manufacturer, will "have it all" while these standards are sorted out by both the hardware manufacturers and the content providers. That being said, the KS8000 is a lot of bang for the buck and one of the best pictures available. In some expert opinions, the picture is as good as the top of the line 9000 series and it costs a whole lot less.

Love this TV! We had a tough time getting things right, as the first one we got shipped to the store ended up being bent and had a corner of the screen shattered. Took it back to the store, who gave us 10% off for our troubles and found one that was available locally that day for us to pick up. Once finally mounted and connected, this TV is amazing, totally worth the price!

I bought this tv in January 2017 and set it up as soon as I got home. I turned the volume up to 17 and it started crackling and buzzing like the speakers were blown. I packed it Back up and made another 35 mile round trip to exchange it. I was not happy. The customer service lady told me I should not expect much from the built in speakers. The speakers in this tv provide very good sound quality. The picture is incredible with the vivid colors and clarity. I love it. I didn’t give five stars because the remote started malfunctioning after 6 months and has gotten worse with time. It usually works for a few minutes after tv is turned on and after that, the only button that will work is the power button. The tv has to be turned off for a few minutes before the remote will work again. It’s getting worse as time goes on. Used to turn it off and right back on. Now I have to wait up to 5 minutes before it will work. Its become very frustrating to try and watch anything. Tv time has become nothing more than a losing battle with the remote. If Samsung sends me a remote that works, I will gladly change my rating to 5 stars and recommend to friends.
