I had to hurriedly buy a tv to allow installer to complete internet/tv. I grabbed this one on advice from a Best Buy employee. So far, I’m very happy. Picture is sharp, colors are bright. There are loads of apps, and it is very user-friendly.

LOVE THIS TV! Got it to replace a 10 plus year old VIZIO 40 inch LCD TV. Easy setup, right from the box. You have to be careful when unpacking not to pinch the screen. There are two safety pads on the right and left side of the TV screen that you remove only after you have installed the stand. Extra protection from Screen Pinch. Follow the installation instructions and you won't go wrong. Make sure you purchase a 4K high speed HDMI cable. A regular HDMI cable will down-grade the picture quality. My new TV is hooked up to Directv and a Samsung HW-MM45 Soundbar with wireless Sub-woofer which I hooked up to the HDMI IN (ARC) Input of the TV. Sound is either controlled through the remote of the Soundbar or my TV remote. Picture Quality is EXCELLENT for a TV that I purchased on Sale for 599.00. I haven't had a chance to use the Bixby Voice yet, but I am impressed with all other functionalities. I pretty much buy all Samsung TV's. This is an excellent choice below the more expensive QLED Samsung TV's. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent 4K Smart TV at this price point [end of year sale] as a smaller unit for our bedroom. Very good color and no noticeable motion blur on tennis programs. Sound could be improved and I plan to get a small sound bar. TV has the apps that we use and all TV functions can be used with Xfinity remote. The prior TV was set up on a rotating stand that required a center TV stand to avoid changing our setup and putting on the wall. This is one of the few units at this size that still has a center stand instead of 2 end stands. The stand has a covered wire channel to keep wires neat and unseen. This unit is great for a smaller room than a family room where you might want a 65 – 75”. Only have TV so I can’t comment on longevity.

I did extensive research into finding the perfect tv because I planned on doing everything on it. Gaming, watching tv, and as well as movies. I was always sketchy about Samsung since I’ve only previously owned Sony TVs... but I was blown away by this one. The Samsung setup is surprisingly smooth and the remote is extremely simple and sweet which is great. I definitely prefer this over the android software that Sony use for their TVs. I’ve had the tv for over a year now and I’m still very happy with the purchase. My only regret was not getting it in a larger screen size.

I love it! It was so easy to set up. The picture is so clear, and the colors are vibrant. I also really like the stand - WAY better than most stands I've seen on larger TV's.

I bought this TV awhile ago and I didn't want to write a review until after the honeymoon phase was over. The picture is amazing. It really blew me away of how crystal clear it is and the quality. It has a lot of the major apps like Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, HBO GO and many more. It was easy to hook up. You can also use your smart phone to program the TV. The only complaint I have with it is that it takes some time to connect to the internet. It can be a pain sometimes to toubleshoot it as well. Sometimes you just need patience. Other than that I highly recommend this TV, it was well worth the money.

I needed a tv with a center stand. They are getting harder to find these days. But the stand aside, this is a wonderful tv. 4K resolution, UHD, 4 HDMI ports, incredible picture. I hooked up my JBL 3.1 soundbar, with a 10 inch subwoofer to it via the optical cable. Honestly I am so satisfied with the picture and sound. I have seen reviews on YouTube about my tv, some good and honest, and some, like what are they talking about? Are they watching the same television as me? I have lived with this tv for a month now, and I have zero complaints. The price on these now are really good. They have come down a lot, as they are getting ready for the new models to come out for 2019. So this is the time to get one. Especially if you like or need a center stand for your situation. I personally prefer center stands over cheap, wide, and not so good looking legs. I frankly hate the legs set up. Much better quality and better looking set up with the center stand. All that aside, I am very excited about this tv. I feel the negative critics are trying to compare this tv to one's that cost thousands more. But, if you want a quality Samsung tv, and you don't want to spend thousands, this is a wonderful one. And now in early 2019, this is the time to get one.

Purchased this for my Mom's bedroom. She had a 32" Sony Bravia from 1998 haha. This was a significant upgrade. I also have the 75" version in my living room at home. The picture quality is great and unlike most newer TVs the sound is actually not too bad. I still recommend a sound bar, but if you're tight for cash, they do an ok job. I love the Samsung Hub - very easy to use and access all the streaming Apps - including YouTube TV. Set up was fairly easy for me, but not my little 70 year old Mom :)

I was worried about going to 49" from 39". It is perfect for my living room. Was disappointed, however, that my DVD player could not be hooked up to this model. Had to invest in a new DVD player with HDMI cable. This may be the new norm. Very EASY to install. For a novice, I had no issues.

The picture was sharp and clear for the OTA signal that we receive. The sound is very adequate. The only negative is the remote. The Bixby voice commands did not work for three days, then suddenly started working again. Trying to navigate the settings is a pain. There are no adequate instructions. The older push button remote was more reliable, simpler to use, more intuitive, more tactile, and more responsive.

I purchased this tv for a great deal on black friday week of 2018 and this has been a great purchase. Picture quality is amazing and easy to use and set-up. It had improved my movies, ps4 games, and just watching tv shows. For the price and quality it is worth it and im sure now in 2019 it will be even cheaper if I needed another tv I would get this one again or maybe a bigger one.

Had a 48" Visio for maybe 15 years. At the time it was state of the art. But nothing lasts forever. Replaced it with the Samsung smart TV. Didn't know how much the picture quality has improved. Wow. Now I need comcast to update my cable lines.

Great picture and sound. The all black remote is almost impossible to see the buttons in dim light. Also the up/down and left/right control is hard to use in dim light. I would think these could easily be corrected by Samsung.

Size perfect and nice color not too complicated easy to use.

I went in looking for smaller Samsung TVs around 40” and honestly once I saw the quality of image in this unit I was sold. It was on sale for $100 less than the tag when I bought it. The picture is crisp and clear and lifelike. The sound is great, but I recommend getting a Samsung Soundbar to go with it! The smart features are jam packed and useful. I love the 4HDMI ports so I have freedom to hookup any device as well! Using the one remote to control my Systems, firestick, and soundbar is an awesome feature! It was a breeze to set up! I loved that I was able carry it by myself into my home. (not recommended but possible)

Okay here’s something I want to get out of the way at the start of this review. The only reason I did not give this TV a 5 star rating is due to Samsung’s choice to run ads on the TV by default and my own personal data privacy beliefs. That being said, other than the ads, I love everything about this TV. The picture quality is amazing, it’s not an OLED panel but I can not tell the difference between “on, black pixels” and the black bezel on the edges of the screen. Keep in mind I was actively testing this so I was trying to see a difference. But it wasn’t the picture that sold me this TV. Funny enough, it was the remote and Samsung’s implementation of AnyNet HDMI. Honestly the engineers and devs deserve a shoutout for this one. When I hooked up my PlayStation 4 to the TV, the TV: 1. Automatically detected that it was a PS4 and named the input accordingly 2. Configured the Samsung One remote to work with the PS4 3. Automatically turned on the PS4 when the TV was set to the PS4’s input Which, as someone who is attentive to detail, I absolutely loved how seamless it all was. I did not have to press a single button for any of this to happen. As for sound quality, I don’t really have much of an opinion since my first move was to hook it up to my sound system. Which, also automatically detected and configured itself seamlessly despite only being connected via optical cable! In conclusion the software is very advanced and is only hindered by Samsung’s advertising platform and the picture is nothing short of amazing. The upgrade was absolutely worth it from the holiday model and I will most likely be buying another Samsung TV when the time comes to do so.

I replaced an old 42” 1080p LG TV with this. I followed the TV settings from rtings.com since I wouldn’t know what half of the setting options do. Pros: -4K streams from netflix and vudu look stunning. -AMD freesync technology for gaming on PC or Xbox One X -Picture settings can be set for each individual HDMI port so you don’t have to adjust settings everytime you watch TV or play video games. Cons: -49” only comes in 60hz. I wanted 120hz but didn’t have room for a 55”. -No dolby vision so one might look to replace sooner down the line it if dolby beats out hdr10. -Watching 1080p cable TV looked better on my old 1080p TV. But it could just be a setting I havent figured out.

Finally upgraded my 10 year old Samsung LCD TV to this and couldn't be happier. Very easy to set up, much lighter weight than the old one and picture quality is fantastic. I love the smart TV features as well. The only thing I miss and I suppose I could hook it up to one of the inputs is some of the Roku TV apps.
