I didn't want to pay the additional price for what the QLED set was selling for (sale). The Samsung 8-Series picture is excellent and an upgrade to my JVC. The sound could be better, however, I plan on adding external speakers. No issues with the contrast. Color is lively and bold. I am happy with my decision,

I needed a new TV and got this one. A little nervous because it seemed so big but now it seems just the right size. My main thing wasn't a lot of options -- what I really want is a clear picture and halfway decent sound. I also want something that is simple, that isn't complicated to use. I think I did OK

TV is definitely a premium product for a reasonable price. The only thing I wish it had come with would be a higher refresh rate. Only capable of 60hz. Not 120hz as the rep told me it was capable of.

This is the perfect TV for our bedroom. It looks just as good as our Q6 Samsung. Hard to tell the difference. Was researching TVs and decided on this one at half the price we paid for our Q6. Really happy with this purchase. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with screws to mount it. I was all set to mount the TV to an existing mount and didn’t have the right screws. I had to special order them and wait a few days because the hardware store didn’t carry them.

Wow! This TV has been remarkable! The picture quality is amazing, especially when watching shows/programming that is actually 4K/UHD. Even if what you're watching isn't of the greatest picture quality, it will upscale it and will make it better. I also use this TV for gaming with my PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch, and the TV's performance is excellent (remember to use Game Mode). As one would expect with a non OLED TV, sometimes blacks aren't as black; however, the Game of Thrones episode "The Long Night" in the final season where many complained of the episode being too dark looked okay. (I rewatched this episode at a friend's, and it was very hard to see on his TV.) For what we paid, my family and I have enjoyed this TV very much. The only negative we have found is that this Samsung doesn't have an auto-on timer, which is a feature we like to use when going out of town. As a side note, we have found Netflix to be the best source so far for 4k/UHD programming.

I went from a pre-2010 1080p TV to this thing so I don't really know how well it compares to other current models. I will say that the apps are really fast compared to fire stick/chromecast. The only issue I've had with it is that I couldn't get 1080@120 Hz working with my PC.

If your looking for a more affordable 4K tv but with most of the features (true HDR) the NU8000 series is just what you need. Far better than most low end 4K TVs and a pretty good deal when comparing to the nicer QLEDs

This TV is a fantastic for its value. There’s definitely better picture quality out there, but this is truly a 4K tv and for the price you can’t go wrong. I also love the remote it comes with; you can control your Xbox with this remote and it’s so simplistic to use.

I love this TV!! Great picture and the perfect size! One issue I have is that you cannot hit the remote and turn up/down the sound fast. It takes you to push the remote each time to get the sound to go up/down one. Not good if you need to turn the TV up or down in a hurry!

I updated to this TV about a month ago now and I have absolutely no complaints! I love the picture quality, and the soundbar isn’t really necessary unless you like surround sound during movies. The volume on the tv itself is great on its own. The SmartApps is also a huge plus. Being able to switch between YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu in a matter of seconds has been extremely convenient. Finally, the automatic game mode, is phenomenal!

This is our first smart TV. Excellent picture quality. Was concerned about ease of operation, but have found it somewhat intuitive and easier to navigate than out 10 year old one was. We only use the terrestrial antenna features so haven't been very deep into its operation.

This is an excellent television with extraordinarily vibrant color. It is very easy to use and the picture makes even old footage look incredible. I highly recommend this television. You will not be disappointed.

I bought this 4K tv for my bedroom and use it for many different things including streaming and gaming. I also have an OLED tv so it is very hard to be unbiased when comparing picture quality but the refresh rate and response are good on this set. Also the built in apps provided by Samsung are good and of a greater variety then on the oled that I have. Gaming is not laggy on this set and movies and HDR content look very good.

If you find it for below 520$ including tax just take it. You will be so happy with your purchase. We have got "n" number of compliments for this TV. The best TV Samsung ever produced as of now in my view. We really love it.

Never seem to go wrong when I buy a Samsung and this TV is no exception. Picture quality is very good and the TV was very intuitive to setup and use. Keep the packing materials though as this TV is a little more delicate than some of the others I have purchased.

High Def good picture quality easy to set up and navigate. Good color, my son is happy with the quality for gaming previous TV was Sony Bravia. Only down side had to watch youtube vid on putting base on. Very happy with purchase under $500 with 3yr protection.

Bought this unit after seeing it in the store. This is the 2018 model, and it looked nice enough on display. I figured it had to have some stellar upgrades over my 2014 Samsung Curved television, plus it was on sale, so I pulled the trigger. Big mistake. As soon as I had it set up and turned on, I was disappointed. The 4K picture was nice, as expected, but it looked glossy and fake. Watching the hockey game that night on the Apple 4K stream was a nightmare. I could not find a setting where the picture looked crisp and clean. In fact, I ended up going back downstairs to watch on the old 2014 model. I am not sure what happened here, but I saw no improvement whatsoever in this 2018 model. I am sure there are some redeeming qualities somewhere, but with Best Buy's quick 15 day return policy, I was not willing to wait around and find out. Instead, I exchanged it the very next day for the Sony Bravia X900E at the same exact price. Wow. What a difference! The Sony blows it away.

Truly the best Tv in its class. It’s a smart Tv so it includes Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, and even a browser. The picture quality is extremely clear. The structure of the Tv itself is built with quality materials. A lot of bang for your buck with this one!

I have had issues with TV's from Best Buy in the past. Specifically, vizio. This unit appears to be outstanding. Great picture, good sound and intuitive. For a reasonable price I got the sound bar and am glad that I did. Service folks were excellent.
