Great picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is incredible, as if the people were in the room. Easy to set up the tv and customize the apps. I would have given a 5, however I do not like the new feet, I prefer the wider middle stand, there is no strap to hold down the tv if you don't use a wall mount. Otherwise the tv is great. I recommend if they can find a way to keep the tv stable when not using a wall mount.

Wow! This is a nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV after returning a much cheaper LG and let me tell you, this Samsung Q6F is OUTSTANDING! Back story - I bought the LG before Christmas because it seemed like a good deal. However, the picture at an angle was terrible and the sound was too. So ... I returned it after Christmas and shopped around. The wife and I found this one and we are very pleased. The picture is beautiful. You can view it at all angles without any major degradation in quality. Sound is also very good. There are 3 HDMI ports, which is nice. I am also very happy with the remote and sensors. The only thing I was not impressed with was the setup. It's a little clumsy, but not awful. I'd give this 4.9 out of 5. Definitely spend the money because it is worth it.

TV Support UHD Premium but Samsung's Shady Actions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've been shopping for 4K, you''ve probably heard of Ultra HD Premium. What is UHD Premium? Developed by the Ultra High Definition Alliance (UHDA) working group of more than 30 key AV industry brands, Ultra HD Premium is designed to provide consumers with an at-a-glance way of knowing which TVs and video content are designed to deliver a really strong HDR and UHD performance. Only products and content that conform to a carefully defined set of specifications will be able to wear the Ultra HD Premium logo, so if a consumer sees the logo attached to a product, they can feel confident that it will be capable of giving them a high level of performance. Does this TV have it? This tv meets all the requirements, but it is look label or advised by Samsung indicating it does. Why? This is the reason: It’s important to stress that the Ultra HD Premium logo is only, in truth, a recommendation system created by the UHDA; it’s not an actual standard that all products in the AV industry need to conform to. In other words, it’s possible that there will be products out there capable of wearing the Ultra HD Premium badge that don't actually do so because they haven’t been submitted to the UHDA for the necessary certification tests. Therefore, Samsung did not submit this TV in for testing to receiving it, but did so with the higher end models to get people to buy them. Q7, Q8, Q9 Requirements: Image resolution: 3840x2160 Color bit depth: At least 10-bit Color gamut reproduction: Must be able to handle the BT.2020 color ‘representation’ (a sort of container for wide color range information), and display more than 90% of the Digital Cinema Initiative’s P3 color standard (the standard widely used in commercial cinemas) High Dynamic Range playback: A device must support the SMPTE ST2084 EOTF (electrical optical transfer function — the way a screen turns digital data into visible light) and achieve either brightness peaks of more than 1000 nits along with black levels of below 0.05 nits, or more than 540 nits peak brightness and less than 0.0005 nits in the blackest picture areas)

Excellent Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this set. Color is great and picture quality superb. Only difficulty is finding how to figure out what to do on the tv. You need to go into the onscreen instruction manual or internet. It took me a while last night to stop it from dimming when the room is dark. Finally figured out to go into ECO and turn it off. Just a minor inconvenience related to a great tv. Sound is very good and I don't think I need to get a sound bar. So far I rate this purchase 5 stars.

Fantastic TV but not worth it for the Open Box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to the Best Buy on Westbury, Long Island and asked how much would they sell me the display model for since they're going to put up the 2019 model soon and the gentleman (who was a really nice kid) told me $500. I honestly wanted to laugh and then I told him that the TV has been on display at the store for over a year and is playing 12-24 hours a day. I also reminded him that I can get it brand new for $150 more ($649). He then told me that I have to understand that they're giving it to me for the price that they paid for! LOL! Even if that's true, they bought it BRAND NEW!!! LOL! There's a HUGE difference between a NEW TV and a YEAR OLD TV that's been running 12-24 hours a day at the store not to mention people touching and messing with it! I bought a Samsung display TV a couple years ago that was Geek Squad Certified and when I took it home the volume kept going up by itself. When I lowered it, it did it again numerous times. It also started changing channels by itself and it was GEEK SQUAD CERTIFIED!!! LOL! So I took it back and they gave me a full refund (thanks Best Buy). That's when I decided to NEVER buy an Open Box TV just a little under the original price. It's simply not worth the risk. You're better off buying it brand new. That being said, I recommended this TV to my son who bought it and HE LOVES IT!!! It really is a FANTASTIC TV and I highly recommend it as long as you buy it brand new which is why I gave it 5 stars.

Good TV for the Features and Picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reviewing this product for weeks before purchasing, this was the tv for me. The apps, picture quality, and sound are great from the Samsung Q6f 49in. It will take a while for most to adjust to the brightness of this set but have found it useful for daytime use. The functionality of the remote is impressive few how few buttons are on it and is very sensitive. Do recommend a minimum distance of 5 feet from this thing. Controller from smart phone will not work without WIfi but the tv will mirror going through the scroll down settings from the top not through the Smart things app without Wifi

Great TV for bedroom
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got a 49 lnch for $900. The picture quality is amazing and the sounds is perfect for my bedroom. I use it to play Xbox and I watch apps on the tv itself instead of using my Xbox since it’s first gen. Everything runs great and I’ve had zero problems gaming and watching tv so far. The remote is very basic but overall I like it being simple and easy to use. If you are using it for a big room not sure how it will work out but for a decent size bedroom it’s perfect.

No sound on DirectTV Now channels
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV looked amazing in the store and we were very excited to get it home. At home, the colors were as amazing as they were in the store, but the picture did not refresh quickly enough. It took at least 30 seconds for the channels to fully load each time, and when they did it seemed like it was slow and gave sort of a cheap-looking quality to some of the sports and other channels. Our biggest issue with it was the fact that several of the DIRECTV NOW channels did not have sound. After a quick search on this issue, it appears that the DIRECTV NOW app that is installed on the Samsung TVs has issues and although Samsung has tried to fix it, nothing they have done has worked. We will unfortunately be exchanging this TV.

It's just ok.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it's a good TV. Smart? I don't know about that. You can use Smart View on your Samsung phone to cast the screen to the TV. That's good, because I don't have cable and rely on Hulu for everything, and I only watch it on my phone. There's an app called SmartThings. One of them works with this TV, the other one does not because Samsung no longer supports it. The one that does work can only be used with your phone to TV if you have a separate internet connection. And guess what? I don't. I rely on my phone for internet, using a 10gb hotspot/month to play and download games on Xbox live (successfully, I might add). I cannot use the still supported SmartThings app because of this, therefore I am unable to use many of the smart features so it's basically pointless. It gets 3 stars just because of this. I bought it on sale for $900. Would I recommend it if you have a situation similar to mine? No. Save your money. The sound isn't great so we bought a Samsung 3.1 sound bar to go with it. Much better. The picture is excellent though. Very crisp, clear, colorful. The TV has too many functions, you can get lost easily. The screensaver option is nice, if you're into burning electricity. I cannot use the collage option though because you need to use SmartThings to access this feature. I wish the HDMI and USB ports were located on the left side in back rather than the right. I have my cables all nearly stretched because of this. My other TV had them on the left. I have this wall mounted and have my cables coming out of the wall in only one spot so it's not like I can just move a 1.75" diameter hole. Even if they were located on the bottom like the sound bar has, that would've been nice. And actually more cleaned up, easily accessible. If I want to plug anything else in I'll have to take the TV off the wall.

great TV great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a good picture even with HD over the air, it is even better with 4K and HDR using Roku, I am having minor issues with the remote which seems to ignore the home button unless I hit the 123 button first. Nice integration with an external Roku box.
