I have only had the unit for a little over a week and cannot complain about a single thing. The Samsung smart things app that pairs the washer with your phone is not only user friendly but it actually ,dare I say it, almost makes washing clothes fun. Well as fun as washing clothes could possible be. I was just going to buy a cheaper non matching dryer but after my experience with this washer I can’t wait to buy the matching dryer to complete the set.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi All, Purchased this set (5 cu ft washer and 7.5 cu ft dryer) literally installed 6 days ago. What I found, on the very first load, and mind you, I do about 3-4 loads of laundry a day (large family), was the ability to just walk up and get the washer and dryer going is extremely frustrating. Rather than having a quick, turn the knob and go, you'll find you have to power on (which takes several seconds of holding the power button), then (specific to our family) we don't use softener, so the machine will, every single time, tell you softener dispenser low (which should have the ability to turn off but alas), you have to push "ok" to exit that, then spin to the desired wash cycle, then hold the go button for several seconds to make it go (this is the easiest of the two to get going). The dryer is the more frustrating of the two. To get the dryer going please realize one important thing, the dryer defaults, every.single.cycle to "eco mode". Eco mode will set your "normal" dry time to an hour and fifteen minutes, because it doesn't use hot air to dry. It does this with normal cycle, timed dry, and a few other cycles (it does not do it for the towel cycle). This single aspect is what makes this set so frustrating. The routine to just dry a load of clothes in one cycle: Move clothes to dryer, close the door Hold the power button for several seconds Spin the dial to "normal" (for the majority of loads) Push options Spin dial to "eco mode" Push ok Push options again Push and hold play button to start dryer Now, throw in what usually happens, during this procedure (which simply takes too long, there should be a disable eco mode), if you touch, move, brush against the dial, it'll spin, then you literally have to start over the entire process from spin to normal cycle, push options, etc. I did it once and immediately realized there was no way I wanted to do this every.single.load. It's beyond frustrating, it's way too many pushes, spins, options, and I'm not some old person who doesn't understand "this dang new fangled technology", I'm pretty hip and with it (at least I think so) and dang, this is just too much. You'll see reviews that say, "set a favorite on the app and you can just spin to that and go" the problem is, even if you set a favorite on the app to normal dry with no eco mode, it still defaults to eco mode on the favorite, it's ridiculously difficult, not intuitive at all, sometimes fancy touch screens, etc are just noise. Buyer beware, and seriously, if you could just spin it once to whatever cycle you wanted then hit the go button, these would be great, but when you spend 2 minutes every single cycle hitting buttons, options, spinning dials, it's ridiculously unintuitive.
