Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the sound quality, easy setup, Dolby Atmos, and bass of the 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar. They appreciate the good sound quality and features, easy hookup system, amazing Dolby Atmos, and shockingly good bass. However, some customers have concerns about the rear speakers not being Bluetooth, the price not being worth it, and connectivity issues with Samsung TVs.

Don't listen to people saying its not loud or the you can't hear the rear speakers. If you know what youre doing and hoe to adjust settings, you'll be fine.. This soundbar is great as is the atmos implementation. It may not be 100% REAL atmos without having a receiver or a half dozen speakers everywhere but it certainly does the job. And the bass is booming as well,; I can't even put it the whole way up without disturbing the peace. Pair this with my 65" LG CX and PS5 and its by far the best setup I've ever had and one of the best possible in 2020 without spending over 5k.

Awesome sound bar! The rear speakers are a plus! The Dolby atmos is great! If you watch a jungle video, you can hear the birds chipping in the background

Great product, but pretty pricey. Love the dolby atmos/surround sound quality. Definitely noticed the difference when I upgraded from a $200 sound bar.

very easy to set up. It has great sound as well. I like how the surround sound only needs to connect to the back extender and not the soundbar.

I've never owned a surround sound system. Usually I've just had a receiver with a pair of decent speakers. I previously had an older Sony 2.1 soundbar that cost around $200. It was better than TV speakers but not really great at all. Overall I like this Samsung 5.1 setup. The wireless rear speakers have been very helpful in filling my room and making it easier for me to hear speech in the audio. Setup was pretty easy especially when paired with a newer Samsung TV. The price of this Samsung unit is my biggest complaint. It was on sale for around $800, normally $1000. My 3 star rating is based mostly on the price. Even $800 seems overpriced. $500 would be a 5 star review for me.

Upgraded to this soundbar from an older/cheaper Vizio sound bar in our living room. Coming from the Vizio, and as someone who runs a full 5.1 surround system in the "mancave", I was afraid of spending so much money on something that would only bring disappointment. Turns out my fears were unfounded. The Atmos effect was so impressive I had to upgrade my mancave to 5.1.2 just to keep it from getting jealous. I'm sure there are better soundbars out there, but I'm definitely satisfied with the sound.

It's not good enough for the money. It sounds tinny, the bass is very subdued, the eq adjustments are not noticeable changes, Q Symphony is not a noticeable addition and it's very overpriced. You can get far better sound for the money. I exchanged it for the Vizio Elevate, which is twice the soundbar with almost twice the amount of speakers. I don't see the value even at the lowest sale prove I've seen at $799. It's the exact same soundbar as the Q70t, but with a bigger sub and rear surrounds (the latter of which can be added or bundled at purchase). Atmos was not even as good as the Vizio SB36512-F6 I had just before, and as I mentioned, neither was the bass (Vizio 6.5" vs Samsung 8" sub). Don't waste your time or money, since the Elevate or even a Nakamichi both can be had for nearly the same money.

This soundbar is a fantastic upgrade to the qled series televisions because of the q symphony feature which plays the sound not only from the soundbar but also from the televisions speakers which sound great on there own but with both playing, it is a very immersive experience. The subwoofer gives out good bass for both movies and music, and i love the atmos effect for movies. It is on sale at a great price right now, the rear speakers add a little bit more effect also so it is a bonus. Highly reccomend!

Love it! Got this soundbar to go with my 85 inch Q90T Samsung TV. The sound experience is amazing, it's like you are sitting in a movie theater. The 2 rear speakers are small and not that great but the soundbar and subwoofer compensate for it more than enough. The Q-sync feature where sound works in sync from the tv and soundbar is a great feature. Watching anything with Dolby Atmos especially on Netflix/Amazon Prime is simply an amazing experience!! I don't think I will be going to a movie theater too often now.

A decent surround sound set up for under a grand. All connections were pretty seamless. Paired this soundbar with a 2019 Samsung LED and other than making sure the HDMI ARC settings were correct it interfaces well with the TV and remote. Bluetooth connection to other devices works well and the quality from phones and computers is inline with the price. The only real con I have is somewhat both pro and con. The subwoofer and bass output feels like it could be a little boomier (yeah I make up words) but for what it doesn't have in boom it makes up for with a much more immersive feel while watching movies with decent audio tracks.

It is a decent home theater system for the price. I bought an open box, so price came upto $560. It’s very easy to unbox and set up. The satellite speakers can be connected to a separate box and hidden behind a couch. Once the satellites are setup you wouldn’t touch them again. Subwoofer is smaller compared to the models such as JBL 5.1 but the soundbar is big and good looking. I compared this Q850T with JBL 5.1 (with satellite speakers). I tested both while watching movies such as Mission Impossible and Inception. The bass and surrounds on q850t were a let down compared to the JBL one. For the price I didn’t find these to be as good as the competitors in the price range. My 2 cents. Hope this helps someone.

Love the soundbar. The right and left speakers are pointless. Not much sound. Its meant for surround noises, but volume is low. Most of the sound will come from the bar. Excellent woofer. Bought it during black Friday. Don't think it's worth its original price of $900+

Overall, it sounds great. Wish there was a way to calibrate speakers to my specific room. Set up was easy, just make sure to pair the speakers in the correct order. Firmware update took multiple attempts before it would update but finally worked.
