I like music, and I like distinctive sound fields. This soundbar is a good entry to good sound. The connection and operation is clean and simple.

Sounds very good , bass is terrific and also connection is not so simple.

I bought a 82 inch TV with this speaker system and the sound when watching a movie is excellent makes you feel like your in a movie theatre .

Had both systems to test , the good is that with atmos content it sounds amazing the bad is it doesn't have dts:X support which sucks and it only has a couple inputs however it does support hdr and the rear speakers are a must for any real surround, sorry ysp-5600 but not available rears makes u a deal breaker and no hdr support either. So far over all the Samsung is by far the better choice don't get any system without rear support it won't sound as immersive.

Went in looking for a decent sound bar and walked out with this. Definitely not what I intended to pay but the Dolby Atmos blew me away. I was fortunate that this system was on sale and can't say enough good things about it. Our living room sounds like we're in a movie theater or at the game. Could not be happier with my purchase!

Although it takes more steps to work with my Direct TV, TV, DVD player and Amazon stick, it works great! Like we're at the movies!

Brought along with a projector. Easy to setup and great sound quality to go with big screen.

First and foremost - This system is just nasty. Unfortunately it took me a few steps to wind up satisfied. I first purchased the LG SJ9, which is a fine soundbar, but I really missed having rear speakers. In addition, my Xbox One S was having a tough time recognizing the SJ9 as an Atmos capable device. I ended up ordering the Samsung HW-K950 as an open box item in 'excellent' condition, which didn't work at all. I still wanted to give the 950 a shot, so I ordered a brand new one which thankfully worked right away. It works with the Xbox flawlessly and Atmos content sounds incredible. The rear speakers really take the experience to the next level. I'm not a huge fan of the Samsung MultiRoom app that you have to use to update the software. It's clunky and doesn't seem to communicate with the soundbar effectively. Most of the time the app can't find the soundbar and always seems to make you worry that it will freeze up during an important update. The app aside, I'm super happy with the purchase and hope to have good luck with the 950 as it gets a little older.

Require expensive addtional hardware to work as it claims. I.E. had to buy an xbox 1 s and an EDID HDMI seperator to get dolby vision and dolby atmos on streaming apps. K950 wont pass Dolby vision from input HDMi to Output Hdmi and downgrades vidio quality to HDR only. My Sony Bravia X900F can do all through apps, but Bar wont except Atmos via ARC on dolbydigital+ (unlike LG and Sony Bars). Samsung support and CEOs office are useless as well as Best Buy Corperate offices. Overall bad experience in compatibility no longer supported with firmware updates. Hardware not capable. BuT!!! When you do finally get everything in sync and working the sound quality has been excellent. Once Atmos enables its a whole different animal that the Sony and LG sound bars just dont deliver. (I TRIED THEM).

I did a lot of research before deciding on this surround sound system. The setup was easy. The sound quality is excellent and I'm really enjoying it. The only downside is the hilariously short power cords for the rear speakers.

Great Sound but no tv connect option to connect to your Samsung tv. My curve is about a year and a half old and doesn't have MultiRoom feature. I have to use a HDMI cable to connect. Samsung should have tv connect included on a 1500.00 Sound bar. Make sure it is compatible with your tv before you buy!!!!

Great sounding bar. A bit pricey. operating instructions can be more detailed.

Good quality sound, looks good, easy setup and bonus wireless rear speakers.

This is my 3rd sound bar I owned and it is Amazing. Dolby Atmos is great the sound come's all around and above, I have a BOSE Lifestyle surround system in my living room and I go for the Samsung sound bar in my family room first.

Had this connected for almost a year. Prior to the firmware update in August (3114.2) about the only complaint was occasional noise in the surround speakers. But when it was playing an Atmos soundtrack from UHD Blu-Ray it rocked! The firmware was supposed top add DTS-X functionality. I haven't been able to find out yet, since the surrounds and the sub now refuses to connect for more than a few seconds. I have done factory resets and tried re-pairing the surround/sub combo more times than I care to count. I can't post URLs here, but if you do a search for the model number of the soundbar and add 'firmware 3114 issues'to the search, you'll see the links to how the rest of the internet feels about it. I'm hoping that Samsung comes up with a solution, because like I said previously, when it worked it was an extremely balanced sound with enough dynamics to make your neighbors complain, if that's your bag. If this gets resolved I will happily update this review. Until then...

I would definitely recommend this sound bar, for the price you paid sound is really great

This is an awesome sound bar system. A little erratic to set up what works works great. Awesome Dolby atmos sound does a nice job in other formats. But a bid con is no dts HD or dtsx A stupid money saving decision on samsungs part. No on screen display. A little touchy I first setting up. Music is awesome. I forget it's a soundbar. Could use more hdmi imputs b

Sounds great. While I agree that if playing an Atmos DVD it sounds incredible I have found that I can hear the rear speakers just fine no matter what I am watching and that has been everything from a normal Blu Ray to On Demand to even something from Amazon Prime.
