I purchased a new Samsung TV and was in the market for a sound bar. I purchased this 5.1 channel sound bar and it connected to TV with HDMI cable almost effortlessly. There is a slight improvement in the sound quality over TV alone. However, when I play music from my smart phone (Blue tooth connected), it is excellent.

I got this sound bar with a QLED Samsung TV as a package deal. If you plan of buying a TV you should try and get them together. Best Buy gives you an attractive price reduction if you purchase these items together. I like the sound bar but the quality is not going to blow you away. The only way to really give you serious quality and top quality sound is to have rear speakers. Sound bars are never going to replace a real surround sound system. But if you want to upgrade the normally crummy TV speakers this works just fine. My wife and I both had real trouble understand dialogue on the TV speakers. This unit eliminated that problem completely. The system setup was very easy with the ARC HDMI. Just plug it in and go. The reason I gave it a 4 is because you can’t keep the system on Surround. It wants to revert to Standard all the time. My wife really likes the Surround mode but the TV and sound bar together just want to move everything back to Standard. So every time she turns the TV on she has to go to the settings and turn Surround back on. Otherwise this is a real nice system for the price.

Great sound, including surround sound. Setup was easy and the components appear to be well made and are attractive. Wireless Subwoofer paired instantly. Compatible with my Samsung tv. I connected to the tv by hdmi cable, which offers good pass through. Very pleased with this purchase.

Purchased this item on Black Friday and was hoping it was as good as it sounded. I have to say we have been using it for over a month and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amount of base if just right and at times we feel like we could be at the theater. Would definitely recommend!

I used an upgraded optical cable, although the system did come with one in the package. The setup was super easy. Truly plug-n-play. The sound is very good in a 20ft+ long bedroom. The sub is setup wirelessly at the opposite end of the room from the soundbar and tv. no issues.

I bought this on Wednesday, a day before blackfriday maddness and it has been wonderful since I've installed it to my new Samsung curved t.v. it sounds just as if I were in the movie theaters, hence the subwoofers. Great deal, great product. Couldn't turn it down even if I wanted too!

Gives much better sound quality than the tv does, the volume of my tv was not very good. Am very pleased the sound bar and am considering buying another for another tv

This thing is insane. It's so powerful, the sound quality is super clear, and it's by far the best soundbar you can get for the money. If you want better, you either need a full speaker system setup, or to drop double the money on a higher channel soundbar.

Let’s face it, no TV has sound that projects into a room effectively. Maybe they should start omitting them from the sets. The sound bar was easy to set up using the optical cable and, I also have it linked to my iPhone via Bluetooth. I’m really happy with it.

The sound bar is really great. I have a Samsung TV and use the HDMI ARC. Everything works flawlessly. I even pair it up via Bluetooth to my phone and play music. The subwoofer hits hard and sounds great with movies. The music in Hunter Killer sounds really good on this system. I'd say the 2.1 Sony x9000f is a close rival to this 5.1 with similar price but has less power, less speakers, but more sound modes. I like more speakers and more power, and I have a Samsung TV. The sound bar and subwoofer design looks good as well. I really love the display on the sound bar. I know for a fact that anyone else who sees it will feel the same. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Let me start off by saying that right out of the box, I expected the sound to be extraordinary for $500 dollars. I was a little disappointed that the sound just wasn't that loud for me, the quality was great but the level of sound was a little low. I decided to purchase the rear loudspeakers (which are sold separately) to see if the 5.1 sound was better. Let me tell you, WOW....what a HUGE difference. I have to turn the soundbar off during normal TV time because the sound effects keep messing with me, lol. If you plan on buying this soundbar, you'll need to spend the extra $100 bucks for the additional wireless speakers. It is so worth the extra couple of bucks. I wanted to score these 4 stars since I expect an investment of $500 (bought mine for $400 at sale) to be great out of the box but had to give it 5 since the final setup is just marvelous.

I purchased a 65" TV a year ago and was never happy with the sound. I knew I should get a sound bar, but never pulled the trigger. We have a larger tv room with tile floor and a vaulted ceiling so there is a lot of volume and hard surfaces for the small tv speakers to fill. It really sounds empty. I purchased this sound bar on a Black Friday deal and our tv experience is completely different now. The TV has just some to life. The installation was easy. The wireless subwoofer is nice because I didn't want wires running across the floor. It just plugs into a wall outlet and connects wirelessly to the sound bar. My sub is probably 15-20 feet and connects great. My TV is also Samsung which might help with compatibility but it controls the sound level on the sound bar without issue. So I don't have to use two remotes which was a concern.

This Samsung 5.1 Ch Soundbar with a 6 1/2” wireless subwoofer. Is perfect for replacing my home theater system in my bedroom. Because it has a dedicated center speaker for watching movies and the wireless subwoofer can go pretty much anywhere doesn’t take a lot of room. This Soundbar has plenty of power about 350 watts. And has a remote that allows you to adjust the sound modes. There is Surround mode, Game mode, Normal mode. So for to utilize the center speaker put it on Surround. And if your a gamer put it on Game. And for just listening to music put it on Normal. The quality of the sound of this Soundbar is very impressive. I have tested a lot of different soundbars and this just had a great sound in all the different modes. For whatever your listening too.

Got this soundbar to replace our definitive technology one. It’s a decent soundbar and trying to get used to the different sound from what we were used to. The price was good but we don’t use for gaming. It’s our main living room sound. So far, so good.

Surround sound beam sound is Amazing! Hook up was so simple. Our cat is not to thrilled when we watch movie's, but hoping she'll get use to the base. She got use to the trains rolling by so pretty sure she'll be fine in time.

Nice Dolby digital sound quality. Deep bass that does not distort sound quality. Purchased a subwoofer acoustic isolation platform to tighten the sound and keep from disrupting my downstairs neighbors.

First sound bar I have ever owned. The sound on this Samsung is unbelievable. Was very easy to set up and would not want to be without one. Going to get one for bedroom. If you purchase a new TV don’t forget the sound bar

I love this sound bar! The sound is great and was extremely easy to hook up. I have used it for regular tv, movies and have used the Bluetooth feature to play music from my phone. The sound has been wonderful on all of it.

Easy to set up and the sound quality is great. Should have bought this years ago. Only down side that we encounter is if you change the source too quick when turning it on, it will go back to original source. Minor issue.

This sound bar sounds great. Volume is no longer a problem. The surround sound is the best I've heard out of a single piece speaker for this price range. Not as good as being able to set speakers up around the room, but much easier.
