Great soundbar for the price. Needed to replace my old lg and this one blows it out of the water.

In the box you get the soundbar itself, subwoofer, remote control, an optical cable, power cords for each, the AC adapter, and the optional wall mount kit. For ports it has HDMI in and out, optical in, USB, and aux in. The initial set up is fairly easy. Just connect the power cords for the soundbar and subwoofer, then power them on. The bar and sub should connect automatically. Then connect either the optical cable, or the HDMI cable using your TV's ARC port. I use HDMI because it is just simpler to use one cable for video and audio. There is also the option of connecting via Bluetooth. I did not try this because I prefer wired connections most of the time. Then you are ready to connect your external device such as a Bluray player or gaming console. In my case this is my PS4. Again using HDMI connect using the PS4 HDMI out, into the soundbars HDMI in. Another nice feature is being able to connect your phone via Bluetooth to directly play music from your phone without having to worry about a cable. This is one time I actually prefer wireless. You can also connect USB drives for music files as well via the USB port. It accepts all standard audio file types such as MP3, etc. The soundbar itself has an interesting design. It is wedge shaped with several different sized holes that allow for the acoustic beam sound for better sound location in gaming as well as immersive movies, etc. I dont know how they did it, but its awesome. It also has a very nice black finish that fits in and matches the entertainment center perfectly. Sound wise you get great audio for movies, TV, etc. But this is also awesome for gaming as well. If you are a gamer you know that you need directional sound to locate enemies, voices, where sounds are coming from etc. Normally this is achieved via headphones, or a good surround sound system. But in game mode the soundbar achieves this with the acoustic sound beam and 8 different speakers. So you arent missing out on the accuracy and sound experience that headphones usually give you. And the 6.5” subwoofer gives you floor shaking explosions, powerful gun sounds, etc. while gaming. For example Fallout 4's awesome gun sounds, explosions, etc. And the same for music. Nice solid bass with clear highs and mids. The HW-N650 soundbar is perfect for those wanting the simplicity of a soundbar, with great sound from movies, TV, music, etc. But also dont want to sacrifice the immersion you get with headphones, or the standard multi speaker surround sound system. But if you do want to add separate speakers you can with Samsungs wireless rear speaker kit. Its so much simpler to install and get up and going vs. standard surround sound systems. No worrying about where to run wires, where to locate separate speakers. Just plug both in, find a spot for the sub, put the bar in front of your set, and enjoy high quality audio and gaming.

I really like the soundbar but I just wish at lower volumes I could get more bass out of it.

i was under the impression i could control the sound bar with my lg remote this was not the case sound is ok

THE SUBWOOFER ADDS SO MUCH MORE TO THE SOUND. IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE AT THE MOVIES.

Super panoramic sound. The bass from the woofer is deep and robust. Looks great on the wall.

A little difficult to set up. But once we got it going...WOW! You can raise the dead with this system.
