Sound from the TV's speakers was disappointing, so I talked to a number of people (including several Best Buy workers) and this soundbar system was recommended. I found it to be an improvement of maybe about 10% or so over the TV's built-in speakers - certainly not enough to justify the almost $700 price tag. I know there are sound bar systems out there for a much higher price, and some of these sound pretty good in the store, but I wasn't looking to pay well over $1000 just to get "decent sound" from my television. And no, I was not expecting full theater sound from the Samsung system. I have since tried using a $70 Bluetooth headphone with absolutely AMAZING results. If the sound quality delivered by the Samsung soundbar system even approached HALF that of the headphone I would have been more than happy.
