So after a time of online shopping and specs comparisons plus some really good deals and exceptionally helpful friendly store help ... my family settled on the Samsung Activewash duo. Quiet, logical wash programming, accommodates large family loads and efficient.

I recommend spending some time with the manual before washing anything important. I have had to resolve detergent spots on my clothes, unbalanced spins and other annoyances. The product works, but the tech doesn't really make it easier or better in my opinion.

We were looking for a reliable, quiet, and easy-to-use washer. We found this one on sale at Best Buy, and with free delivery and pick-up of the old washer, we had a new washer for less than $100 more than what it would cost to repair the old one.

I can reach the bottom but my wife can't. If your shorter than 5' 9" get something else. Also because of how tall it is the lid won't stay open on my laundry room because of my upper cabinets when the sink function is up, it makes he lid too heavy.

Love the song it plays when its done, lol. I changed all my home appliances for samsung, and definitely you can feel the difference in power consumption.

That has not been my experience, but I make sure I set more soiled clothes on a longer wash cycle. The large capacity is nice by allowing more clothes to be washed in less loads. Very happy with this purchase. I just hope it lasts 22 years like my first washer!!

Good washer with some quirks

I do wish it had a larger detergent reservoir, it's really only enough for one wash. This is something the front loaders do better. Also, when you start a cycle and want to add something in you need to be patient before pulling on the lid. It will separate and open but it feels like it could damage pretty easily. Other than that a good buy
