The oven door has vents at the top that allow spill overs from the range to run down between the glass. This cannot be cleaned except by a technician who must dismantle the door. Samsung recommends not using spray cleaners as it may run between the glass. They don't seem to have a plan for when something boils over. It cooks great, but who wants an oven you can't ever clean?

Switched to this from electric...best move ever. Love this convection range

I bought this oven range a little over two years ago and the oven no longer heats up. I can't believe that such an expensive oven range would not work in such little time. I had a 10 year old oven and it never had issues. I always thought that Samsung products were of high quality. I guess not. I found, through my research online, that Samsung ovens tend to malfunction in less than two years. That is not acceptable. In addition, based on other people's responses with similar issues, the repair may cost $300. That is ridiculous. I called Samsung customer service and they told me, nicely, that I was out of luck. I hope that Samsung sees this post and contacts me to see what can be done to fix my oven and save their integrity. Until then, I would not recommend this oven especially for the price tag.

This was a great stove. We had it for 5 years and it looked and worked great. One igniter stopped working on the smallest burner. I called service and they broke the screws trying to get the cover off the oven. Ended up having the whole stove replaced at no additional charge.

Have now replaced three igniters in oven. Bad design

Bought this range in 2015. Loved this range at first, then After about 8 month did the self clean function and the oven got so hot it fried the circuit board. Samsung replaced the unit, however I still had to pay ~$500, because when I bought it, the unit was on sale. Now 2 years later the new unit did the same exact thing, and Samsung will not replace it. As long as you stay away from the self clean function then this range works great.

To be fair, this is more of an indictment on LG customer service rather than this particular model of oven. With that in mind, I would stay away from any LG appliance. Our LG range was emitting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. After two weeks and first paying a $200 flat fee, an LG approved technician finally came and replaced some parts and fixed it. He said it likely a manufacturers defect but he can't say 100% which means that LG keeps their fee. In the meantime, I've written two letters to LG (where it says they will reply within 24 hours) and gotten no response, spoken with two customer service managers who show no concern for the fact their appliance put my family in danger, and spent way too much time on hold on the telephone and on-line chat with very little to show for it. Their lack of customer service is appalling.

This stove is AWESOME in the way that it works. I LOVE the ease of gas cooking. The downfall of this (and each of the other Samsung black stainless appliances that I bought) is that the "black stainless" coating comes off and you see sections of true stainless under. I was not made aware that black stainless is just a plastic coating over stainless.

Love this oven when we first purchased it, but having major issues with it. Gas is pulsating on both the top rings and the oven. Preheat used to take about 4-5 minutes, now it's taking over 30 minutes. We have the BestBuy Geek Squad protecting, they've been to the house multiple times and put new parts in. Still not fixed, trying to fight for a replacement.

Warning, Samsung gas stoves are dangerous. I purchased a Samsun gas stove from Best Buy and after less than a year the valve on the front left burned became jammed and would not allow me to turn off the burner. I eventually had to shut off the gas because I couldn’t get the burner to turn off. Although we purchased it less than a year ago and Samsung told me it was under warranty, they refused to pay to replace their defective valve. Do not buy.

This is a georgous/functional stove and I hope Best Buy stands behind their products because it totally died the first time I turned on the oven

black grates on top of stove RUST it may be safety Issue. Samsung replaced these during 1 st year. Need replacing again. Grating bottoms have rubber inserts to prevent scratching they fall out and Samsung refused replacement.

Beware. No where in the description or specifications does it say that this range is set up for natural gas and requires a conversion kit for LP gas which Best Buy does not sell. My gas company could not obtain one and the range has sat unusable in the middle of my kitchen for 4 days. I was finally able to order the kit from Samsung but it will be a week since it was delivered before I can have it installed.

This oven has all the normal specs for this price range, but it has no child safety lock for the gas burners, and the knobs are designed so that "child safety" knob covers won't work. A child who slips away for 30 seconds could result in massive tragedy. Best Buy should pull this product immediately.

Absolute junk! Do not buy this. After 6 months, the large center burner stopped working. After 18 months the large front double burner won't light. After a year, the oven started taking OVER AN HOUR to preheat to 425°. We keep our stovetop and oven clean, so nothing is gunked up on the burners. This is the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. For two thousand dollars, I would expect it to last over a decade. The 20 year old range I replaced with this still worked way better than this pile of overpriced garbage.

This oven quit starting. Geek squad repair fixed it the first time. Same problem 6 months later. Am now told part is not available with no expected date. Unacceptable situation. Asked for a replacement under my repair contract. So far, Geek squad will not honor because I haven't waited a month for the part. Really??!!
