Have not had this for very long, but so far it is fine. Takes a little while to get used to the digital screen control panel. The stainless steel top is a little hard to keep clean. The grates are heavy and you have to wait quite a while for them to cool down before you can clean the stove. Comes with large griddle pan for middle burner but it is soo heavy I probably will not use it. Also comes with a cast iron ring for a wok, don't have wok so will not use. Bottom warming drawer seems very flimsy, haven't used it yet. Like the continuous grate on top so pans don't tip.

Beautiful and functional! Love the stove and oven. Only downside is how many pieces the grates come in, lots of cleaning!

Found this Samsung stove on consumer Reports, and purchased after a great sale during the holidays. Love every feature about this stove (I'm sure to have more to learn about it.) Looks beautiful , bakes evenly, temp, probe feature great for roasting , great gas burners, love the high heat and simmer features. The only reason I did not rate this excellent is it is easily scratched when removing grates for cleaning of the stoves surface.

We thoroughly enjoy cooking with the new range. The features and stove top burners are much better than our old unit and puts the fun back into cooking again. It really has a lot of cooking power. The spacing of the stove top grates seems a little too wide for smaller pots, otherwise we would have given it 5 stars.

The only drawback is the grates on stove are difficult to clean. I love the three racks in the oven. It is very spacious. This has the best simmer feature of any gas stove I have owned.

After reading lots of reviews, we purchased this convection oven about a month ago. Self installation was easy. Looks great and works great so far. The grates are heavy so you have to be careful when lifting them up to clean the stove-top. So far we love this range but because we've only had it one month - I can only give it 4 stars.

got this stove on sale and appreciate its features much better than the $1500 ranges I was looking at. I especially like the more roomy stove top. I also like the excellent stir fry and broiling capability. Possibility of fan noise was a fear, but it turned out to be very quiet. Only slight criticism is that the burner grates are inadequate to keep an empty fry pan level.

Corner burners and oven work great but we spent an extra $300 to get this particular one because of the center burner and cast iron top. The burner turns on but does not come close to reaching the grate or heating any food that's on top of it. I called Samsung support multiple times and was passed around about 15 times on multiple occasions before someone was finally sent out to inspect the issue. Since the burner turned on it was deemed within acceptable standards and the phone calls to customer support continued for another month until someone finally told me nothing would be done about this. I've been a loyal Samsung customer for 5 years but Samsung lost a customer after this experience. I've read similar reviews about Samsung's poor customer service - I would avoid them and go with a more reliable brand!!

Just purchased this gas slide in range and we are very pleased with it. Looks great in the kitchen with the heavy duty appearance we were looking for. Cast iron grates come with a rough finish, so we've noticed bottom of pans are now showing abrasions. Also, cast iron middle griddle is not the best to cook on. Center burner will need flame adjustment- seems to come with flame set too low. Oven combo plus warming drawer are fantastic. Great value for price.

Burners have great BTU, however noisy like flame thrower. Oven comes to temp quickly, trade off heats up kitchen unlike prior stoves. LED in oven really show you what's inside, so no need to open during bake, big plus. Oven shelves are bit finicky to remove, so don't recommend trying to do after oven has been heated. Stainless steel top and fully removable burners make cleaning up a breeze. Downside to grates, non continuous cross pattern over center of burners leaves smaller pots/pans wobbly. Overall, oven is good; other reviews support that, these are just the items which are annoying when using that you don't see when sitting on show room floor.

Love this range. Easy to keep clean and looking like new. Heats perfectly in bake, broil, roast and convection as well. Range top is almost perfect. Only thing I would change is making the grids of the grates closer together so small pans can't fall over. Love the double front burner for low cooking for small pans or large pan cooking. Best range I could find out there. Hope they keep making ranges like this one or add my suggestion.

OK I got this range to replace another new one as I wanted a slide in/drop in without a raised back. I also wanted a stainless top as the black top is so difficult to clean. This one has a stainless top. It cooks evenly, both the oven and the bruners. The double burner is awesome for a fast boil. The grates are solid. The only issue is that the grates scratch the top surface, and they make permanent marks. The grates need a felt piece or something on them to prevent the scratching when you remove them to clean the surface. I have a big gash on the top that I am livid about, and had I known there was an issue I would have gotten some sort of pads to prevent it. Maybe there is some solvent that can fix it?

I initially bought the Samsung 5700 and exchanged it three days later for this one, which is vastly superior and well-worth the extra money. You can use the slide-in in any space you would use the free-standing model. The 5700 had faulty ignition sensors and filled my apartment with gas; this has a safety ignition and then you can adjust it to any temperature. The wok and two-sided grill are very useful. Looks great in a small condo instead of the over-sized back splash free-standing model. Great stainless stove top instead of nasty black enamel. I don't like the black sides, but most of that is hidden (why not gray, white or stainless sides???). The stainless shows fingerprints and is hard to clean, even with stainless cleaner. The grates are super heavy and the digital oven is unnecessary but fine. Overall, this is a beautiful, reliable, safe range with lots of useful technology. Well designed range

We haven't purchased a new range in 16 years, but so far, I'm glad we took a chance with this new-to-the-market Samsung. The front burners are both high powered; the simmer burner works well; the middle griddle burner is powered just right (but the griddle itself is a bit narrow). I also like the wok feature - no more precariously balanced woks or annoying rings. Maybe because my old range was SOOOO SLOW, I especially love the fact that I can preheat this oven to 350 F in less than 10 minutes (might be closer to 5 minutes! @@@@@@@ - all this for an oven that's huge. It's so huge that the racks don't fit under my cabinets. At first I was worried about where I would put the racks I wasn't using, but then I remembered that this is a convection oven, so I can actually use the other racks at the same time. Why not just leave them in the oven? The only issues I've with this range is that the control panel might have been designed by a 20-year-old because the beeper is so quiet, I can't hear it when the stereo's on, and the clock numbers are so small that only my teenager with telescopic vision can read it from the kitchen table. Another minor complaint is that the cast iron burner grates are not perfectly level, so my pots rock slightly - just a minor annoyance, not dangerously. I've been using it (a lot) for a week now and everything about the range's performance is excellent. Overall, this range is a great value and one you should consider if you're thinking about the GE slide-ins as an alternative.

    Great Range

Wonderful range. We replaced a Jenn-Air freestanding range with this one. This ranges burners put out high heat even on medium low, so play with it a bit to get used to it. Most stainless steel products scratch easily so that's expected. Using a soft fiber cloth to clean it has worked well. The grates will scratch the surface (which is expected as they are heavy cast iron). Read the manual, that's important for manufacturers recommendations and to understand the product completely. Per the manual the griddle takes at least 5 minutes of preheating to get hot. Cast iron is a completely different different beast. We cook often with cast iron so we know it's not to be washed with water and soap, don't scrape it, don't soak it in water, etc. I'd recommend looking up cast iron maintenance because it can rust if not properly taken care of. This is a cooks range for sure. I found when baking using the manufacturers recommended rack levels (cake on the 3rd or 4th rack) my baked goods turned out beautiful and evenly cooked. Again powerful heating so pay attention to that. So far so good.

I ordered this range on Black Friday. Due to its popularity, I didn't receive it until the first week of February. I've had it a little over a week now, and I'm not sure it was worth the wait. Appearance: It looks just as good in my kitchen as it did in the store, except for the fit. There is a plate that's supposed to fill in the gap between the back of the range and the wall, but it only comes out about an inch, which isn't even far enough to overhang the bulges on the back of the oven, much less cover the gap to the wall. The back of the oven bulges run higher up than a lot of other ranges - in my case, it's higher than the gas valve, so there's another couple inches of rear clearance lost. If your gas valve isn't right at the floor, or you're not installing in an island with a lot of countertop between the range and the back of the island, you may have fit problems. I'd not try replacing a freestanding range with this unit. Build quality/durability: Controls feel solidly constructed. Burners and grates are heavy and feel durable, but the black coating on the grates wore down to bare metal in spots after the first time I flipped an egg. The oven racks are just a little oversized and tight to get in and out. Functionality/usability: I love the power burner, but I hate that every single burner is a different size. If you're making three or four different things at once, you have to plan your moves ahead of time. The oven heats up pretty quickly, and the thermostat is reasonably accurate. @@@@@@@@ within 10 degrees @ 350, within 15 @ 500, 10 minutes post-preheat, convection off#. The split rack may come in handy one day, but I'd rather have gliding racks #especially at its MSRP#. It's good that it has a warming drawer, because the oven is overly-automated and hard to use for warming - if you turn the oven off, it automatically cools the oven using the fan and vent. In addition to wasting electricity, it's noisy and heats up the kitchen. Overall: Despite my nitpicking, it's a decent range, but it's overpriced. There are better options in its normal price range. I paid just over half MSRP on Black Friday #thanks to a 10% off coupon) and for a slide-in it's competitive in that range, but there are still probably a few better choices unless you're in love with the LCD panel.
