    Nice range, cooks well.

We needed a new range and had been set on a slide in. We previously had a freestanding LP range, but when we redid our kitchen we prepped for the day of an electric slide in. Because of our prep, installation was literally hooking up the electric cord to the range, leveling the unit to our counter, installing the anti-tip bracket, and pushing it into place. We looked at every range on the market from $1000 clearance units to $4000 units. In the end we narrowed it down to this Samsung and a comparable KA. All the other ranges were disqualified because of build quality or design. Many had plastic, others were flimsy, a lot had both. Even more expensive units had poor design features. The KA we considered was stronger built but had less features. The finish was noticeably nicer, but the unit was basic and only a single oven. The reason we went with the Samsung was partly due to the duo oven capability, which is nice. The build is acceptable, but the unit is a little flimsier than the KA we liked. The trade off is that we have more features on the Samsung. I am fairly confident though that if one day one of my children decides to pull out the warming drawer and stand in it that it will be damaged, where the KA I am fairly certain I could have stood in myself. The Samsung heats faster than our 20 yr old LP range for what that is worth and it cooks food very consistently. One thing to note is that the top half of the duo flex system does not offer a bake setting simply because there is no burner under the food. This is not listed in any literature easily available. The top does offer convection bake which is a great performer, but you will need to learn how to adjust for convection cooking. I use it all the time with great results. My wife can not be bothered so she refuses to use the top. Having a dual range is sort of pointless if you always have to go to the very bottom to cook. The end result is that the range looks good, is better built than many on the market, and offers advanced features. It cooks well also. The price is in line with comparables. We would likely purchase this range again if needed. We do have our fingers crossed to some degree because getting Samsung parts can be time consuming and difficult sometimes. Our fridge has been 6 yrs flawless knock on wood, but our washing machine they spent 3 times the original price on repairs and it still has issues. American brands often will simply replace a unit instead of repair. It is our experience that Samsung or at least the warranty holder of our washer had the policy to repair when physically possible regardless of time or cost. We were without a washer for 6 weeks during one breakdown because the part was on a ship coming from the other side of the world. Either way I have gotten off track, but this is part of our consideration. We still went with the Samsung. At the time of our purchase there was a nationwide shortage of the unit and Best Buy was the only group on the East Coast that even had the unit. So by default they got the sale. The price was fair and the service was fine. We would recommend both.

One year after purchase, I am still very unhappy

It appears my review from last year is no longer posted, nor are many other reviews sharing disappointment with this dual oven, the burners, the controls (knobs), the function of the convection oven, and so on. I purchased four appliances from Best Buy October 2017, and I had the most difficult time selecting a range as I had a double oven (with similar features as this Samsung) for over six years. I complained about this oven to Best Buy.. temperature is NOT cooking correctly... just tonight, TWO hours for chicken to cook through at 400 for 30 minutes and 375 for 90 minutes with almost no browning of the skin. That's crazy and it happens with every chicken, despite using the one oven, just the bottom, moving the racks, and so on. The convection oven baked two identical cheesecakes entirely differently... one was raw and the other was burned. These are items I prepared for over 20 years without these issues. I took pictures and showed them to Best Buy when the techs came. Another ongoing issue is the burners turning on very easily (no lock mechanism). My husband started a fire as a result last November. Too much to share here. Baking and cooking used to be something I enjoyed. Now I dread making anything in this oven. I spent a lot of money at Best Buy since it opened in Altamonte Springs over 20 years ago. This is the only purchase I actually hate. And yes, the techs have been here and we spoke with Samsung and a manager at Best Buy (he was great). What a waste of my money. I gave this a very good try. I hope Samsung addressed these issues over the past year as there were so many complaints on all the retailer websites. Time to go shopping for a replacement.

Have used this for six months now and no manufacturing defects. I like the temperature probe to get roasts done to perfection. Also like the warming drawer to keep food warm while other things cook and the cooktop warming center to get coffee mugs warmed up (I can never remember to turn them off though). The bridge element is great for griddles and the 3-element burner does boil fast. But I must agree with other reviewers that the timer alarm is much too quiet to be heard unless you're right there in the kitchen. Also the time of day display is much too small to be read from the dining room table. And if you wear reading glasses like me you'll need them to determine which sector of the control knob applies to the portion of the 3-element burner or bridge unit you are using. A word of advice: you must read the user's manual to use the oven because the procedure for selecting cooking type, setting the cooking temp and optionally the cooking time, is not that straight forward. Neither is using the special features. You may be used to a conventional oven where turning the knob from off to bake or broil is all you do to turn on the oven. Not so with this model. To begin with there is no knob. There is a touch sensitive display and you must first select the cooking type: bake, roast, convected bake, convected roast or broil, then set the temperature with the 0-9 number pad, and only then touch start oven. Setting a cooking time after which the oven automatically shuts itself off complicates things even further. To muddy the waters even more there are two other timers that do not turn off the oven when they sound the oh-so-quiet alarm. When you finally get the oven turned on, it displays the current temperature while it's preheating and then beeps when it reaches your set point. The display defaults to 175 degrees until it gets hotter than that. All that said, do experiment with convection roast or bake as things cook quicker and/or require a lower temperature. Do I like the divided oven feature? Not really. It sounds cool, and complicates the setup even, more but we pulled the divider out a few months ago to make room for a roast and never put it back.

    Samsung customer service is poor

Just bought a complete kitchen appliance package of Samsung products at a local Best Buy. The Best Buy store was great, for the most part...our sales person told us some incorrect info about the oven. Not a big deal they replaced with correct one! And I was really pleased with the customer service at Best Buy. So...they we get our new range and we are just moving into our new home and we use the self cleaning mode. We haven't even used the oven yet to this point. And we'll after awhile we realize that the door won't open and the digital screen had no power. All the burners worked correctly on top. Needless to say this was very frustrating being we haven't even used it and we just moved into our new house so were extremely busy. My wife calls Samsung the next day...after having to speak with three different Samsung representatives and they are saying " it wasn't professionally installed" "it's our electric" " we don't know if we have repairs in that area" the list keeps going...that's highly disappointing to spend so much money and get customer service that horrible! I wont recommend buying Samsung products to anyone. The bright side of this and I'm not a Best Buy employee or anything of the sort. I called Best Buy where I bought my appliances...took them 2 min to say we will replace with a new one! I mean I have no working oven in our new house but somebody actually stepped up and took care of the problem with out making us feel like it was our fault. I gotta wait 2 weeks before the new one arrives but we can deal with that. I'd much rather wait two weeks then spend another minute on the phone with Samsung customer service.

    Experienced Cook Very Disappointed

This great-looking range is a major frustration almost every time I have to cook. I've been cooking over 30 years, and I tried to give this range a fair trial. It has been 5 months , but I have to say that I truly regret this purchase. The touch pad is overly sensitive and just brushing up against it will turn off the oven, turn on the warming oven, or activate any other function on the pad. Every time the oven door is opened to check a dish for doneness or basting a roast, the light automatically turns off when the door is closed. Why? Broiling with the door closed (which is required) is difficult because even with a large window, broiled dishes are too high to see. (Never heard of broiling with an oven door closed.) I have burned many burgers and steaks because of this. I have yet to figure out the best positions for the racks. They don't go where I need them. I planned to use the double oven for my Thanksgiving turkey and sides, but I really don't think the 15 lb. turkey will fit in the larger bottom portion. Fast boil is no faster than any other burner on any stove I've used. The timer alarm is a joke. It is so quiet I don't think my dog can hear it. Wish I could use an appliance for a month before buying. I would not have kept this range if I had been able to try it out.

I have not used the lower part of the oven yet, but if it works as well as the top oven, I will be thrilled. I was able to get rid of my toaster oven thanks to the convenience of the top oven of the new stove. That allows me to have more counter space for other things. The only caution is that I am having to learn to use convection baking. I've had several successes. Cooked a beautiful cherry pie, cookies, quiche, sheet cake and roasted vegetables. All cooked quicker and at a lower temperature and were wonderful. My two failures have been ham buns and toast which burned on top. The broiler must be more powerful than I'm accustomed to. Now when I make toast, I set the timer for 2 or 3 minutes, and that reminds me to keep a check on it. I have also enjoyed the bridge element for cooking with a griddle. It works great. I like the options for choosing the perfect size element for each of my pots. Some people have written that the oven controls come on too easily. That is true but the oven itself needs several steps to begin heating, so I do not mind this. Ignore it, and it goes off in a few minutes. Honestly, I love this stove and I am completely happy with my choice.

We loved this range when it arrived - looks great, has lots of features, easy to use touch controls for the oven, temperature probe... Until my wife tried cooking on the left back burner. Manual declares both left burners as 1800W each, you think they will work the same? No! For some reason left back burner performance is disappointing. Set back left, front left, back right burners to "4" and measure temperature (Fluke infrared thermometer). Left front and right back show 550F, left back - 250F (at the same setting!) Even at the "Hi" setting left back burner does not perform as it should. We had 2 different service companies (under warranty) come out and attempt to fix it - they replaced the main control board twice, left burner assembly and the switch on the front panel - still the same. We believe it's a design flaw, left back burner is not usable in this range. It's going back to BestBuy and we'll be getting a different brand. Really sorry about it, we loved it.

I bought this Samsung range to replace my smooth top GE range and love the new look. I haven't yet used 2 different oven settings simultaneously, but am looking forward to trying that out. One bit of advice is to be prepared to possibly call an electrician for a slight modification. Our range would not slide back all the way to the wall due to where the precious electrical connection was installed. According to the BB installers, it shouldn't be a big deal for an electrician to relocate the outlet. Hopefully this is the case. It is leaving about an inch gap right now. Other than that, I'm really happy with my choice. I've used the warming drawer several times and like that feature very much. The cooktop does a great job and I'm eager to try the 2 bridged burners.

Good compromise between single and double oven

The glass cooktop performs perfectly and so far has been very easy to control in terms of temperature, high and low. A big pot of water comes to the boil very quickly, and low simmers are also easy to do. I really like the three-ring larger burner that can be adapted to pot size. I've wanted a double oven range since they first came out, but some friends with them dislike that the bottom oven door lays on the floor when trying to get food in or out. This Samsung has a slide-in divider that creates two ovens, both convection, both individually controllable (within certain temps) and the single oven door sits up off the floor with a warming drawer beneath. One of the three oven racks actually slides out on rollers, which is a wonderful feature especially when handling liquids. The electronic controls are very intuitive. I haven't tried cleaning it yet, but there are two methods; the traditional high temperature way, and a 20-minute "steam" clean. So far, no complaints whatsoever.

So happy with this Range! It is amazing and also beautiful! I have noticed that when using the dual oven feature that the top oven gets a few degrees hotter than it should be- so take note of that. I went back and forth on the dual door or this one, and I chose this one because you have to open the door to the top to access the bottom oven on the other one anyways, it didn’t make sense to spend more for an extra door. Oven heats up SO fast! I highly recommend buying the Cerama Bryte cooktop cleaner, scraper, and microfiber pad, along with the touch up wipes. Maintenance is important on this range. The scraper will remove easily what looks like bubbling on the surface after use- just make sure it’s cooled down.

    Buyer Beware

Have owned this model for 3 mos. now. After having back right burner fixed cook top is working pretty good. Oven is another issue. Expected this Samsung to be more reliable. Have had trouble with everything cooking properly. Pizzas turn to cardboard before they are hot enough to eat. Fresh or frozen. Hot dishes do not get hot enough internally. Had to cook lasagna for nearly 2 hours before we could eat it; usually takes 50 minutes. French fries never crisp, have to put them under the broiler after they cook for double the regular time. Have tried both conventional and convection in all cases. Even using both for a time for the hot dishes. Very disappointing. Samsung service man just left and said he has responded to many owners with the same complaints. He apologized and said just have to get used to it That is a real bummer. Not a cheap range...should not have to get used to it.

I love this stove. I have only used the cooktop and the top oven, and this is my first experience with convection cooking., and so far, I am very impressed. The small eyes on the cooktop are not as fast as I had hoped, but the speed is not bad. They do remain hot for a while so sometimes when I turn the heat down, I move the pan off the light for a moment or two. In the top oven, I have cooked quiche, pies, cakes, and casseroles, and all have been delicious. Time has to be addjusted downward for convection cooking, but it works beautifully. The oven panel comes on too easily when the cook leans too close, but it doesn't actually start heating, so when you back off, the panel goes dark in a moment or two. No harm done.

Fit right into my stand alone range oven in 30" cabinet space. Many slide in ranges of this style would require cabinetry with a back counter or else you would have a gap behind the range. This Samsung comes with a plate to fill that gap perfectly so it fit my space nicely. Install was easy and controls are easy. Having some trouble with the meat probe as it will shut the oven off when it hits the temperature you are forced to set. Seems to be too sensitive and always gets the oven temperature on the probe instead of the food temperature and shuts the oven off. Would like if meat probe would just allow you to view temperature rather than control the oven (maybe I have not found how to do that properly yet).

We were almost going to go for combination induction cooktop and LP gas oven, but chose this fully electric from Samsung instead since it was a floor model with a dent in the side that couldn’t be seen and saved us big bucks. The cooktop is very functional, quick to heat and easy to clean. The knobs are the best looking of any model we saw, as they are big and industrial looking, the fit is perfect for a retrofit into an existing space, and the cooktop extends over the side of the cabinets, and legs can be adjusted for height.

We bought this oven a few years ago to replace a very expensive range that kept frying the electric panel! I baked, I broiled, I multitasked and I loved this oven. I would get up at 4am to make Duffins, I loved it that much! We ended up adding it to the sale of the home after the new owners heard how much I loved it... She was due to have her baby any day... anyway.... I miss that oven! It made every task so easy and Christmas dinner was a doddle! So many choices on the rings, so many options for the oven and the warming drawer became something I still miss today!. I don't think you can go far wrong with this beautiful and clever piece of kit in your kitchen... True love never dies

The Samsung NE58F9710WS slide-in range cooks things evenly and in less time. The cook top fast boil is just that fast! The guiding light controls are easy to use and have a great kid proof feature called LOCK. This slide in range features a FlexDuo oven that combines a full-size, 5.8 cu. ft. capacity with the convenience of a double oven. It comes with three oven racks - two wire and one gliding as well as the flex duo divider. If that's not enough it also has a warming draw. Imagine cooking a holiday dinner and everything is warm when served.

I bought this stove for my husband since he does all of the cooking. I wasn't sure if he would use the griddle bridge he hasnt tried it yet. But said, it was nice to have as an option. We really were more interested in having 4 burners and the 5th warming station burner. The oven is beautiful makes our kitchen look like a designer kitchen. We Love the extention to cover counter. No more spills dripping down the side of the stove. I agree with other reviewers the buttons are touchy if you clean the surface and brush against them they tend to turn on. We haven't used the drawer warmer I have never had a stove with one. Hoping it will be a feature we enjoy!

As we've only had this for a week and have yet to really put it through its paces, it seems good thus far. The stovetop seems to be harder to clean and kept clean compared to previous glass top ranges we've had. The touchscreen really shows oil and fingerprints. Twice, since being installed something has triggered a touchscreen communication error that renders it unusable until the oven is reset by turning off all power to it from the breaker box and turning it on again. If it happens again, I guess we'll find out how good warranty service is from Best Buy.

We really like the look and ease of using this Electric range/oven. It is replacing a double oven and cooktop we used to have, so we had to remake a cabinet in our kitchen. The ability to have FlexDuo option is great, and baking and roasting in this convection oven is a dream. Pans fit with ease, and the range has plenty of space for several items to be cooked as the same time. The only thing that i wish the seller said was to purchase a cleaner for the glass stovetop. I found that out through reading the booklet, but I could have had it ready at home before our delivery.

Did not think I would use the double oven option much but now use it almost very time I fire up the oven. The automatic probe setting gave me trouble the first time I used it but has worked perfectly ever since. Maybe I was doing something wrong which is something I do not easily admit. The black glass top shows dirt easier than my old white top. Overall operation and cleaning are easy. Not usually a big reader of manuals but with this one you don't really have a choice. Very happy with this stove and magic oven.
