    Best so far

I have been around awhile and I have owned smooth top stoves since they first came on the market. I have had very very expensive, middle price range and lower price range. Some were different manufacturers. I have not had this a very long time yet, however, I read some neg comments every where from plastic knobs, to washing the top, to complaints about the fast boil. All I can say is I downloaded and read the manual before I even purchased. I went straight to Samsung.com. Best Buy had some mistakes on their description, so I called and asked Samsung. Best Buy specs said it had no clock; of course it does. BB is correcting that. It had one other error in description. It said the bottom drawer had room for pots and pans. It does not. They took from drawer to make oven bigger. I love that. The drawer fits all my lids beautifully. So, all I can say to some naysayers...read the manual first. I have had no problem. I LOVE this range. It proofs bread, it dehydrates food, it has presets for roasts etc. It has keep warm in oven and a keep warm on stove. The plastic knobs are thick and are nicer than previous stoves. Most stoves use plastic knobs. The quick boil worked great. It is not going to boil in 30 seconds. The top wipes off beautifully, if you follow the directions. You must use the proper type pans, and do not scrape pans around the surface. If it is difficult for someone to learn proper use, or do not want to; then they should get gas or the old fashion burners. I have never been so impressed (so far) with this stoveI and I have had many models. Read the instructions! I will review again when I have it several more months.

Possibly the best unit in this price point!

In the price range this might be the best looking range. I initially ordered a different unit from a different site, similar price, but it arrived damaged. I could've just ordered an identical replacement, but up close that one was rather plain, almost ugly. So I returned it and went back to shopping. This model has a premium look and feel, very lovely. I've already used most features, I like how one of the timers actually turns off the oven. Convection oven works great, but you might need to adjust time and temp on some delicate items (which will bake faster and might require a lower temp, saving you some energy). Made a great pork roast, some cookies and cakes, couldn't be happier. The fast boil hobs are very powerful - I have a 1500 watt induction plate and the range hobs boiled water much faster (they are 3000 watts, so no wonder!). I haven't seen any major issues with keeping it clean, but it's true that the polished glass shows smudges a bit easier than similar stoves with slightly textured glass. But the overall quality and look is IMHO worth it. Maybe loses half a star on the score :) It's also true that the storage drawer is a bit shallow, but that's because the oven is larger than average! Worth pointing out, but not worth subtracting points, IMO.

    Broke within a month....

My experience has nothing to do with Best Buy....that experience was fine. Samsung on the other, I have not had a good experience. I have had this stove less than a month and it has broken....right before the holidays (not to mention I just went to the grocery and stocked up on food that I cannot cook). While the electricity to the stove is just fine, the stove has no power unless I turn one of the burners to the "on" position. Then the stove seems to wake up. Despite the burner being turned on, it does not heat up. I also tried to heat the oven (again, I can only do this if I turn the burner knob to an "on" position otherwise the oven seems to have no power) and it does not heat up. Samsung is sending a tech, but it will take a week. I explained my situation and the urgency and was told "sorry, that's the best they can do." Their best doesn't quite work for me when I have a house full of guests coming and a fridge full of food to cook that I have no way of cooking.

We purchased this Range the first time in November, but unfortunately we had to exchange it for another one, as the original one was damaged in the back. Believe it or not, it took us four exchanges to finally get a range that sat square and the door did not rub on one side or the other of the frame. Now to features, We like the range pretty well. It matches the two other Samsung appliances, Refrigerator and OTR Microwave that were purchased earlier. We have an old kitchen so we opted for the White finish instead of the Stainless. Samsung is one of the few appliance Manufactures that still offer white appliances. The features are great, with two modes for self cleaning, one with water in the bottom, for minor spills, and the regular self Cleaning oven. Both work very well. Cooking and cleaning the cooktop are easy, but one must be careful moving cookware on the cooktop as it scratches too easily. This one problem is the main reason I gave it four stars. Oh, and many thanks to Best Buy for allowing us to make the necessary exchanges until we got a range that was satisfactory to us.

Overall so far the range is functioning well. No malfunctions or issues so far. My slight complaints could be about design, not even complaints, observations. Sometimes a pot on a back burner is covering the control knobs in steam and droplets. Not ideal but with my kitchen I had no choice but this style. I am not deducting points for that. The bake/roast settings with fan are slightly hotter - I've had to adjust temps lower for some baked goods to avoid browning too soon. Just a matter of getting used to it. It's true what some have reported: the low burner settings meant for simmering are still cycling - they're not just constantly heating at a low power, they do a quick full blast and turn off until the next blast. I do recommend substantial cookware for that - enameled cast iron or multi-clad pots/pans. Glass surface does clean up ok with proper cleaner. If I had more money, I would convert to gas/propane - very nice ranges are inexpensive but I'd have to pay to install a propane tank where I am. Some day :)

The stove works very well. I like the fact that when you begin preheating the oven the display shows you the current temperature until preheating is done. This is our first convection over and we find it useful to be able to select either convection or conventional bake options depending on what is needed. Cons would be the panel is already showing fingerprint marks that we cannot remove after only a few weeks of use. Samsung should have used a different material for the button panel. I am assuming this panel will wear out over time. The cook top is also very shiny that will show any imperfection, either tiny scratches or other messiness. We are used to an older cooktop where the design has sort of a pattern under the glass that hid imperfections (tiny scratches) better than a completely smooth black surface. Overall the range works great and looks great. We are happy with the purchase.

The oven is really nice and has all the functionality you might need for those of us that aren't renowned chef's! However, I was disappointed in the fact that after just one time cooking on the stove-top (with nice T-FAL cookware), there were instant scratches on the stove-top! I was beside myself! How could something so expensive, cause scratches right away from a stationary pot on the stove!?! I went to Best Buy to complain and they sent me away with a sponge and some ceramic cooktop cleaner (free of charge) and although it did remove 90% of the scratches, having to do this after every single meal is really senseless in this day and age. Isn't there a cooktop that can be formulated to not have scratches?!

We finally decided to purchase a new range with our old one being close to 15 years old. Love the stainless steel and that the knobs are on the back as we have 4 little ones. The convection oven is such a big boost!!! Cooks the food faster and much more evenly. The only thing that will takes some effort is to clean the glass top. The burners have good spacing. Overall great range that we got for a great price on sale. Best Buy delivered and found out that our electrical box for the plug in was not up to code. The delivery crew scheduled an electrician to come out the following week and they were very professional and cost way cheaper than other quotes we got from 2 other companies. Brew our expectations out of the water. Thank You!

This is my first time using an electric range stove, my entire life I’ve used gas. We had to buy this one because our new condo only allows electric range. I love it! It took some getting used to it but after using it for everyday for a month now i would say I’m an expert now. I love the way the oven bakes and all the different settings it has. I’ve baked chicken, cupcakes and even dehydrated apples and they have all come out great. The only complain i have is after the first use of the stove top one of the cooking circles got a weird burnt around it and i have not been able to take it off. Other then that all the other ones have been just great and i do clean up after each meal i cook so nothing gets stuck.

This is my first range that offers convection and conventional bake options. When using conventional, you'll still hear the convection fan kick on for preheating, don't be alarmed, that's normal. The storage drawer isnt very deep but the width is great for my giant cooling racks. Each burner will omit a smell when it's new. After two or three uses, it's barely noticeable so this is a great range for those sensitive to the new appliance smells. As long as you're cleaning the stove top with ceramic cleaner after each use, you wont have any of the staining issues some have mentioned in reviews. Love it!

i am sorry i bought a glass top, it is such a pain to keep clean. i have used everything on it and have found that toothpaste is the best cleaner to maintain its shine and to clean it. the convection oven takes forever to preheat, way longer that the regular oven, why ? id think it would be the opposite. the stainless steel is chintzy, its is easy to get spotty and has already begun to rust after a year. the back burners are too close to the rear of the stove and when you have to use all 3 or 4 burners the back gets splattered or steamed up, or my pots sit partially on the burner :( this was my 1st samsung appliance purchase and i will not recommend this to anyone, but i have to live with it for now.

There were a lot of features about this stove that I really liked, which is why we picked it in the first place. The two adjustable burners and the hidden element and larger size oven were the biggest ones. I also appreciate the number keypad for ease of setting times and temperatures. The only things I dislike so far are minor and include: the blue color of the display, the extra loud and excessive beeping on the timer and when the oven reaches temperature, and the loud clicking when the heating element goes on and off. In all, I'm not disappointed with the purchase, but might not go with Samsung again for another appliance.

I purchased this as a package to upgrade my appliances. After a week I noticed some discoloration under the largest burner. A couple weeks later some bubbling occurred in the same area. I called Samsung and after about a month I was finally able to get them to send someone to look at it. The technician who was from a third party repair vendor called in to Samsung while at my house. Samsung upon seeing video from the technician, deemed it cosmetic and said it was not covered. It took a complaint to the BBB and they finally agreed to replace the cooktop. Since the install I have had no reoccurring issues

I love the options of this dryer! My clothes come out so soft. The dryer I replaced was like going to the laundry mat. At the end of the cycle it would overheat my clothes. This dryer with moisture control prevents overheating and is gentle on your clothes. I have only had this for a month but I absolutely would recommend this dryer. The only downfall is having to read the manual for all of the features, however it is pretty easy to use. The dryer will choose what you need based on what setting you choose but also allows you to modify the auto settings very easily.

It does what it's supposed to: it cooks the food. Oven is a little slow to heat up, and there is a slight learning curve for learning what buttons to push and in what order to get oven temp and timer right, but otherwise not a bad appliance. Top burners boil water fast, but also don't seem to know how to simmer as many things continue to boil even when left on low. If you nudge the dial a squidge above LOW you're moving into boiling territory. I notice oven runs about 20 degrees cool since it counts up to the temperature when you preheat, and if I adjust the temp mid bake I can see it's low.

The design is nice, and it works properly. Not as fast as I would like...about 9 min. to heat oven to 375, but still an improvement. To boil water it MUST be on hi, at 9 it will take 20 min, which is annoying. I expected more of an 'even cook' on newer tech. but I guess it just comes with the whole flat top expectations not being highly efficient like gas. We want easy to clean, and that it is...I highly recommend convection oven...really does get it done in 70- 75% of the time. This one has the option of with or with out convection.

I bought this Samsung range because of the looks and features advertised. It was delivered and we tried the stove but the "fast boil" wasn't fast at all! My husband put a teapot on to boil on the left side and after 20 minutes it was only luke-warm on the highest setting! We tried the right side and it didn't work either. They didn't even glow. The back right burner glowed a little but we had to shut the lights out to see it. We haven't tried the oven and probably won't. We are exchanging it for another range, same make and model, in the hopes that it was this particular range and not the brand. The previous model looks very similar and got great reviews and supposedly this was the "upgraded" version of that model so I am hoping we just happened to get a lemon.

Just received this oven today. Installed without much of a hitch (although one of the screws was completely stripped upon receipt?). Then set the oven to 400 for an hour, as directed by the materials. The oven makes A LOT of clicking when heating up and when maintaining temp. We will likely get used to it, or it may not be as noticeable with the TV on and such, but it is a lot of clicking. Apparently this is "normal" with Samsung ranges? In any case, I will update this review as we cook and its function. The oven looks great, however.

I don't like the cook top. 1. There is a light that indicates the top is hot, but it doesn't indicate which burner. 2. The top is difficult to keep clean. 3. The burners seem to go from too hot to not hot enough. doesn't seem to be very even heat. 4. The large front burners don't seem to fit my pans well and the small back burners are useless because they are to far back. The oven seems fine. The drawer is difficult to open. Bottom line - I would rather have my 20 year old Whirlpool back.

This range was delivered on time by competent personal. I did my own installation which went without problems. The installation guide was excellent. The range performs as advertised. Particularly like how fast the front burners boil water. The digital readout of setting and showing the oven temperature is nice. My only complaint is the draw under the oven is somewhat flimsy but all the ranges I looked at were like this. Being metal, dishes put it rattle if there is any floor vibration.
