Customers are saying
Customers highly value the large oven capacity of the 5.9 cu. ft. Flex Duo Freestanding Electric Range, with many expressing their love for the double oven feature. The size of the range is also appreciated, as it fits well in many kitchens, and the overall build quality is seen as well-made. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the surface material, noting it is not stainless steel but a painted surface, and others feel the door design could be improved.

High Tech easy to use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 5.9 cu. ft. Freestanding Electric Range with Flex Duo™ model NE59M6850SS. This is an Electric Cook Top stove with a Flex Duo™ oven with dual door. It has a removable divider that converts one oven into two. It also has a Wi-Fi Connectivity feature that can be used with other appliances in the home or with the SmartThings app by Samsung. This is a glass top stove has 4 burners and a warmer. The two front burns have dual sized heating areas to use depending on the size of the pan. The back two burners are smaller size. The warming section is in the middle for ease of use. The controls knobs are clearly marked on what burner each operates. The clock is easy to set. The oven has a soft close door feature. It has a standard handle that will open to the full oven. Inside is the divider to make two ovens. The handle has a lever and when engaged, it will only open the top half of the oven. Very neat. In observing the oven/range, I noticed that the top oven is only convection bake where the bottom oven has the option to use conviction or bake. The full oven can be used as either. Having the ability to use two ovens is great when cooking a large meal that needs different temperature settings. It is also great for every day use when your french fries need to be baked at a different temperature than your nuggets. After using my oven for a few weeks, I have found the best way to bake pizza is to use the full oven. When I used the top or the bottom, it seemed that the back would get more done than the front so I would have to turn it. Full oven, works great, even baking! When exploring the oven and testing to try the dehydrate setting. I pressed the button and it begin to blank indicating that the top and the bottom oven is still two separate ovens, I opened the door and took the middle section out and noted that there are sensors that tell when the divider is in place. The screen then showed one full oven. It now told me that I was able to use this function to dehydrate food. Full oven =dehydrater. I dehydrated some apples and it worked amazing! I could hear the oven run but it was not so bothersome as a stand alone dehydrater. I was very impressed with how this work. I think this is my favorite feature that will be used a lot in our home. Another feature of the oven which is nice but I have not had a chance to use is the extra-large burner on the right front. Most skillet will fit in the large inter-burner. The outer larger burner would be great for stock pot cooking. The wi-fi connectivity took me by surprise. I am not currently using the Smart things ap however, I do have a smart Samsung TV. One day, while I was heating the oven, I was watching TV. When the oven got to temperature, I had a notification box show up in the upper right corner of my TV telling me the oven was preheated. While my house is on one level, I can see how this would be of benefit to those that have multiple floor homes. There are many other features to the oven that I have yet to explore. One other worth noting is that this Samsung Flex Duo range has a steam clean feature for the oven. You add a cup of water in the bottom, hit the button, and let it do its thing. Once it is done, you wipe it out! Super easy cleaning. Overall, I am glad I made this purchase. It is a convection oven that can do two things at once, is easy to use, has great features, and looks very sharp in my kitchen.

Beautiful, but not great if you can actually cook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful, and I love the dual oven feature, it’s what sold me on the oven in the first place! I also LOVE the warming drawer feature. However...and I think this is huge...the cook top is very sub par...it heats WAY slower than my old stove (coil top) that was over 10 years old. I do not love electric stoves to begin with, but I was hoping that getting one that was top of the line would make the difference...so far, I’m not impressed. The side burners can barely boil water, and we are a family of 8...the large burner is the only one I can use a large skillet on, so I can’t be required to use that same burner for boiling water or I will never get dinner done. Even the large burner on rapid boil, boils water slower than our old stove. I also was assured I could use this for canning, and with how it barely brings water to a boil, I’m betting that’s not a possibility. It’s also disappointing that you can only use crap cookware on it...aluminum with non-stick coating is BY FAR the worst cookware in terms of performance and for your health (unless you like cancer.) I prefer cast iron, which now I can’t use, so have re-sorted to my stainless steel because it’s the next best thing. The double oven works amazing and cooks twice as fast as my old oven. I wish I could love the cook-top because then it would be a perfect combo. If you are making boxed mixes for a family of 4 or less, heating soup, making a small batch of Mac and Cheese etc...I think this could be an amazing and beautiful oven for you. If you want to cook gourmet quality meals for a group of 8 or more...I would keep looking. If you rarely use the cook top but want an amazing dual convection oven, that is also beautiful, then this is the perfect oven for you.

Great cooking machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this oven range for about 6 years now and haven’t had one single issue. It’s amazing in every way. The cooking functions are high powered especially the roast function. It’s an incredible product and highlights Samsung's best capabilities.

Great range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This range is amazing in all ways. Got an amazing open box deal on it, it was in near perfect condition because it was returned by some one because it did not fit in their house. This is amazing because you can control it from the SmartThings app. Also really nice that it has 2 ovens makes it really easy to back multiple dishes at different temps. As far as the stoves they heat up really fast, and the warming center is great. highly recommend especially open box.

Steer Clear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the worst stove I've ever owned. The touch pad was unresponsive most of the time. I joked I had to sneak up on it to be able to turn the ovens off. The temperature was never true, it ran 10-15° hotter all the time. I used the self cleaning function for the first time last weekend and that caused it to burn out its own circuit board and touch pad. Both, obviously, very expensive to replace. So now I have a $1200 usless appliance.

Posted .Good day, Smarieud.
We understand how important it is to have a properly working range.
The control panel on your range will lock if it is running certain functions, such as Self Clean, Twin Cooking, or Temperature Probe. Also, some controls are only available when using (or not using) other functions. This is to protect the oven from excessive heat or children who may accidentally touch the oven. For more detail, please refer to the link below.
Self Clean or other buttons do not light up or respond, or panel is locked on Samsung oven:

Dark pans absorb and retain more heat than light pans and are more likely to burn around the edges. Pages 32–33 of the user manual contain recommendations for which oven rack position to use, as well as cookware recommendations. You may also see the recommended temperature settings on pages 30–31.

Enjoy it for maybe two yrs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having two baking spaces is great, especially for parties. Unfortunately, after 2 yrs, we encountered two issues 1) it baked unevenly-had to turn the cookie sheet/casserole dish, whatever, halfway through baking or else one side was more cooked then the other side. 2) some numbers on the stovetop disappeared. How do we cook if we don't know if it's high or low? Samsung said it's cosmetic" and they won't do anything about it.

poor quality, worse service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Original review didnt' post so this is a re-write. So the unit looks good and feels good, and thats the end of its good features. The oven will ding and indicate that its at temperature when it isn't, it will indicate at temp 20-50 degrees before its actually at temp and then take a long time to actually get to temp (photo included). When you're using the oven, the spot inbetween the two burners will get hot enough to melt plastic (photo attached). The real kick in the head with this unit is that when you call Samsung, they'll send someone out that obviously isn't a technician. He'll connect to your stove and run diagnostics. When you ask if the front feet of the unit are supposed to be completely flat he'll call what I assume is an actual technician, need to use your wifi, and then tell you that your warranty on your 2 week old unit is void because of physical damage during install (the feet having an angle). After looking at (and taking pictures of) multiple identical units, it was in fact not damaged but just how it was built. Thankfully its within the return window but shame on Samsung customer service for their poor support and poor handling of an issue. I will absolutely never buy another Samsung product just because of this experience.

Stunningly Poor Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my stove on 1/11/2021. It was delivered 11 days later. I bake a lot of bread and I need to start by preheating the oven to 500 degrees. The oven did not go above 480 degrees. I was able to get around that well enough. After 6 months, the numbers around the power dials for the heating elements were fading. I also noticed that as I cleaned the back splash, the "SAMSUNG" logo, were individual letter stickers. They were losing adhesion and when I wiped the area down, they moved. In September of 2022, I was getting repeated error codes. When I looked it up in my owner's manual, it was recommended that I call for service. I called and arranged for service. The technician came out said the controller board needed to be replaced and that he would order and return to install when received. This was a Friday. The next day, I was struggling to open the oven door. This was a situation that had only just started and I had forgotten to mention it to the technician. It finally opened and as it did, it fell off the hinges and into my hands. I called the technician and left voicemail reporting the new issue. A week later the technician was told the controller board was unavailable and therefore unfixable. The range was out of warranty at this point. Fortunately I had also purchased a 5 year extended warranty. We had to struggle with the warranty company a little bit, but they have now reimbursed me the full amount paid for the stove in the form of a store gift card. My new stove (NOT a Samsung) will be delivered today.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is not working properly and they will tell you it is a different way of cooking and that I have to you tube to know how to cook. Forget about the old convection cooking, it will NOT WORK anymore with this range. You have been WRONG all along is what they told me. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF MONEY - Buy another BRAND that you can use convection. It is NOT a double oven, it is a 2nd Oven. You cannot use the top only.

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited to get this oven home! Hooked it up and tried to heat up the top oven for a frozen pizza - nope - it gave me an error. I followed the instruction to fix the error and it didn't help. Samsung support is nearly impossible to reach, but finally got someone who said it would need repair - I'm returning it before the time is up. A lot of hassle and very frustrating.

Geek Squad Protection Plan-poor service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Black covering started to peel off after 2 years of use. Geek squad protection is useless-they don't cover repair until range is functioning, so don't waste your money for their protection plan. Never would buy Geek Squad protection plan again-service is terrible-from technicians to supervisors.
