Customers are saying

Customers highly value the large oven capacity of the 5.9 cu. ft. Flex Duo Freestanding Electric Range, with many expressing their love for the double oven feature. The size of the range is also appreciated, as it fits well in many kitchens, and the overall build quality is seen as well-made. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the surface material, noting it is not stainless steel but a painted surface, and others feel the door design could be improved.

Nice split oven that easily turns into 1 big oven

So far so good! Have only had few weeks. I am loving that the oven can be split-I use the top little one most- But also can be one whole oven with only 1 main door to open. The other split ones I’ve seen are permanently split and the main oven is practically on the floor and too low. I didn’t want that all the time. This can be a normal oven with easily removing the rack tray. This oven gives a choice! Also Front burners both have 2 size choices and settings for each size with same 1 knob per burner. Turn it to left for inner ring or turn to right for whole burner ring. Good design. My only issue is that with free standing oven mine sits at end of counter so side is exposed. It does have cute design but shiny and all metal. Doesn’t look heavy duty on side either. Might dent or scratch easily and will need cleaning more. Last oven I owned had the thick textured (no fingerprints) side like my fridge does. Wish they had done that for the free standing model. I might have even paid little extra to have the textured side. Warmer nice feature too! BTW, I get all my appliances at Best Buy Peoria. Great service.

    Efficient and Worth the Cost

Absolutely love this kitchen appliance. We had been looking at dual ovens for a while and found that only the Samsung still allowed for the bottom drawer storage along with the convenience of dual ovens. Other companies offered the dual ovens but then there was a loss of storage and we needed that since our kitchen is not extremely large and I store our pampered chef stone ware in the bottom drawer. Most of the appliances in our home are Samsung including TVs, phones, and washer and dryer so it came as no shock to us that yet again Samsung went above and beyond. When preheating the oven the amount of time was cut down drastically compared to our old unit. The ease of only having to heat a portion of the oven allows for a decrease in electricity and when we use the top oven only for cookies it has cut down on our baking time. We mainly purchased the dual oven system due to the holidays and always having to use our neighbors for dishes that needed a different temperature. This is no longer the case and we even use the function for everyday dinners at the house. I would highly recommend this and other Samsung products to anyone who is looking. We have never had any issues with ours. There is only one thing that I will state took some time getting use to and that was placing certain pampered chef baking products in horizontally rather than vertically as the oven is not as deep as our previous one. Other than that we absolutely love it.

It looks good and so far, seems to work really good. I like the fflexibility of the dual oven and the temperature seems to be accurate. One thing I’m not thrilled about is the black range top showing smears so easily. Just means I have to make an extra effort when cleaning. Overall good buy.

I've had the stove a couple weeks now and so far i love it. It is the nicest looking stove I've ever had and it seems to be cooking perfectly although I have a learning curve since this is my first convection. I've been baking Christmas cookies and for the most part no complaints. Some have turned out better than ever! We really like the versatility of the 2 ovens or 1 large one. I haven't had any trouble cleaning the top as others have mentioned once I got the initial polish on it. My prior stove was a glass top so I guess I'm used to it.

I just got this stove a few weeks ago and my girlfriend loves it. She calls it a lifesaver. Before she use to worry about starting dinner and then running out for an errand but now she can put food in the oven and set the oven to start automatically at a certain time and to stop at a certain time. She no longer needs to call me and say "Eric please turn off the oven in 5 min". Guess it's a lifesaver for me too because I'm in the middle of my game most of the time lol

Samsung Flexduo is a decent range. The black glass cooktop shows any little mess. The dual oven works great, but don’t think you are going to get 22lb turkey in the bottom and cook another item in the top oven as there is not enough space. The touch controls leave A LOT to be desired as they are also not great. Setting the timer also does not make sense to me as I can’t put in minutes and seconds. I’ve read on how to do this but it doesn’t work. Going to live with this for another week and may return.

Seems to be very versatile freestanding stove. Enjoy the flexibility of the ovens. The utility drawer is not very sturdy and seems very loud even with items inside. So far it is functioning as it should.

SUPER Samsung 5.9 cu ft Flex Duo Electric Range

This range has a little switch on the oven handle enabling you to open the top 1/3 of the oven door keeping the bottom 2/3 of the door completely shut. There's a full-size metal divider-plate at the 1/3-2/3 level so you effectively have two ovens which you can set the temperature (or Off) for each separately. When this metal divider-plate is stored in the bottom cabinet, you have the full-height oven for cooking your turkey. We almost bought an electric range with a separate smaller top oven and a larger bottom oven. I thought it was neat until my wife pointed out that it had no storage drawer for pans and such, and when using the bottom large oven, you have to bend way down, almost to the ground, to see the turkey.

Haven't had my stove very long, but works well so far. Heats up fast. Small oven is very useful. Great not having to heat up a large oven for small items, especially in the hot summer months. Also, a nice looking addition to my kitchen. Like the black stainless finish.

We bought this Range approximately 30 Days or so ago. So far my wife has used both parts of the oven (Convection and traditional) and she really appears to like it. The only downside so far, is the fact that if by chance you should scorch something on it, it takes some serious elbow grease and a good amount of ceramic cleaner or vinegar to get it clean...Trust me, I know!!

We bought this range in 2019. Have had issues from the start. I bought this oven for the features including the “smart” feature to connect with Alexa. It never has. The “app” is a joke. Second. I had issues from the start for the electric panel stalling. The touchpad periodically quits working. Very frustrating mid cooking when you want to turn your oven or timer off. Third and biggest problem is with the door. Like many have experienced, the top door would get stuck mid cook, so the point of it being a “dual” oven, pointless. Now, the door will not shut therefore will not cook. Door hangs open throughout the day upping our electric bill. I have had to make creative ways to get the door to shut. Beyond these issues, oven does not cook evenly nor consistently. The burners are slow to heat and slow to cool. For a household that cooks a lot, save your sanity. 3 years is all I have had with this $1400 oven. Finally, Samsung support did not help nor stand behind their product. When making a large purchase, good Customer service is a must. Samsung, stand behind your products or make products that are quality. Shear features and making things that are pretty but shamefully low quality. This is my third Samsung appliance with major issues. First a washer that was recalled and not reimbursed enough to sufficiently replace the washer, a dryer with a considerable amount of replacement parts, all within a couple years of owning these.

We finally decided to upgrade our old white coil-burner range to modernize the look of the kitchen and match the stainless steel of our other appliances. The only problem we have with it is that it is too good! What we mean is that our first salmon broil, on HI setting on the 2nd rack down, in top oven mode, in a non-drip through broiling pan, suddenly surprised us by bursting into flame. We turned the oven off and closed the door, and vented the smoke away. Now we use top oven mode, LO setting, 2nd rack from the bottom, and a perforated rack over a drip catcher, and get beautiful results. The cook top is great, with well delineated pan placement circles so we can match the pan sizes with the appropriate burner. The red glow gives good visual feedback, and we start all sauteing on HI to get to temperature quickly. The beautiful glass top requires a bit more maintenance than our previous coil-burner stove, but it's worth it for the beauty of the kitchen. An addition to our purchase was a new set of cookware to replace old cast iron and copper pots, to avoid scratching the top. One warning I should mention to homeowners about to upgrade ranges is to check that your old range is plugged in to the correct type of outlet. Ours was directly wired from the wall ("hard-wired") and we needed to hire an electrician to install a box and plug--for over $600! This is a beautiful appliance and the stainless gleams. Recommended.

I was replacing a 13 year old GE range and the difference is amazing. Between how quickly the oven heats up and the convection - I'm baking things in about 2/3 the time. I've also found the burners to be great and heat up quickly. The top oven is actually big enough for a pizza so for most day to day baking/heating I just use that which I'm sure saves time as well. Once I got the hang of it, I love the touchpad. The only drawback thus far is that the stovetop did scratch perhaps the second time I used it. I was using a heavy stainless steel pot and had just poured water out of it so that could just be on me - but I am a little concerned about how it will withstand wear and tear over time. Other than that - I couldn't be happier and I love the flex oven!

Fabulous Features in a Modern Stove

We purchased this stove a couple weeks ago and so far my husband and I both love it. It is beautiful in design and having had smooth top stoves for the past 30 years, find it easy to clean. We weren't sure we would really have a great need or use the double convection oven, but I can tell you we use it daily. It is fabulous to cook or reheat so quickly. Many times it takes the place of the microwave. I like being able to remove the divider in the oven for larger items and do so when I make my homemade french bread. The features are extensive and the only one we haven't tried is utilizing the phone app. Just not our thing. The one thing I miss from my prior smooth top stoves is there being a light by each burner to indicate when an area is hot. This stove only has one on the back display panel so I have to be more careful. Now we will just see how it performs in the long range!

Love this range, I find that a lot of my use for the oven is for frozen pizzas or other ready to go meals so being able to just use the top half the majority of the time is amazing. Another boon compared to my previous range is that the heat stays fairly well contained, I suppose that's more that it's new and modern but my previous range would warm up the whole kitchen whereas this one stays nice and cool to the touch. The smart connect features are also quite great, it's good to have a way to turn off the oven remotely if necessary as well as get notifications when food's done as opposed to relying on being next to the oven to hear the chime. Overall a great range!
