This new Samsung UHD television produces amazingly pure, sharp, vivid colors. The size is perfect for my small apartment. I can now enjoy Netflix and Amazon prime streaming, as well as watch lots of sports due to the excellent "sports mode" that greatly enhances picture brightness and quality. My old HDTV looked dull by comparison. I'm definitely loving this TV!

The 50 inch version of this tv was on display at the store and the picture looked better than all others there (w/ an exception to another that was almost $2k)
I wanted a 55 in so I ordered that size hoping the picture would be as good as the 50 in on display
I ended up exchanging it for the 50 because the picture was not as crisp and it was also too large to mount on my wall only because of stud location
Yesterday I was so excited to watch football on my new tv but was so disappointed to find the picture was very pixelated and slow
And it wasn't just football
I was on an hd channel, my hdmi was tightly connected and I had just upgraded my cable package
I changed the picture settings on the tv and tried them all
Maybe I just got a bad seed, but now I feel funny bringing back yet another tv.

I picked this up in store at my local best buy and decided against a competitor's set which was Vizio and LG. This television was on sale so I decided it was time to make the purchase. I'll be listing the pro's and cons.
Pros:
Playstation now
Built in bluetooth (Bluetooth headphones work with this set)
HDMI 2.0
HDCP 2.2
and all the usual smart tv features.
Cons:
This tv is just 60 Hz
Even with the game mode on there's noticeable input lag
Less apps available than before on the smart tv (No crunchyroll)
Other comments:
I was really surprised to find that this television had support for bluetooth headphones. I tested them out and it works well as expected. I connected my PC to the tv at first it didn't recognize it I rebooted it then the tv performed an automatic update and it worked. I purchased this last night but I'm not sure if this device has full chroma support, also being that this has hdmi 2.0 as long as your graphics card supports it you can do 4K at 60hz. Overall this is a great TV and the price was right but if you are someone who likes the best and greatest then this isn't for you. This is a better than average starter 4K TV the only thing bad I have to say is that I'm really disappointed that Samsung didn't make this TV 120hz minimum. I have a Sony 4k and it blows this out of the water but this is just meant as a replacement for my old double monitor setup. I'm debating whether to exchange it for a 120hz Samsung or just go with another brand entirely. That's about it I hope this helps those of you who are undecided about this TV.

Beautiful for Movies, Poor Input Lag for Games

This TV definitely has its pros and cons. First off, the picture clarity is phenomenal while watching movies, streaming Netflix, etc. The design is super minimal and looks really great. The edge around the TV is SUPER thin and makes it seem like it is all picture and no frame. It is truly a beautiful TV.
Now, the main problem I had with this TV was encountered when playing any video games. The picture was stunning while Clear Motion was turned on; however there was a substantial input lag. It took about a second to translate what I was doing on my controller to display on the TV. I did some research and found that there is a Game Mode setting that is supposed to decrease the input lag. I turned on Game Mode and it was absolutely correct in that it would decrease input lag (down to about 25 milliseconds), but it really compromised the picture quality. Being that the TV has a native 60hz refresh rate panel, images seemed to judder and shake more on fast-paced games, which was kind of a deal breaker for me.
I exchanged the JU6500 for last year's HU8550 model that has a native 120hz refresh rate.
If you do not play video games, I would highly recommend this TV. It has beautiful picture quality (when Clear Motion is on) and you can really notice the 1080p upscaling if you sit close enough to your TV. If you play video games, I would recommend something with a higher refresh rate.

Great picture with UHD streaming that works!

Amazing picture for less than $900! Built in apps for Netflix and Amazon actually work great with streams by their (admittedly somewhat limited at present) UHD 4K content. Great value for the quality you get. Caveat: you need fast internet (25 mps recommended) to stream the UHD content. Roku 3 and Apple TV set top boxes are falling behind with their HD limitations -- the built-in Samsung apps are actually superior, at least as of today, 8/21/15.

I spent three hours yesterday and Best Buy going from television to television television comparing what I saw my face to all of the reviews on here, and I almost went with the cheaper LED from Samsung with no 4K, i'm still mostly certain I don't need it but at the end of the day I saw this TV and 55 inch version and I absolutely fell in love with it. My Sony flatscreen LCD lasted me a good 10 years or more and I'm hoping that this will last just as long. The picture is crystal clear and with some minor tweaking the color is absolutely stunning. The sound, for me, is just fine, and it's louder than my old Sony. The only quibble I have is the smart hub and remote, it's a little annoying to type in everything one letter at a time on screen, but it's more than my other tv ever did so I won't complain. Overall I'm thrilled with my purchase, thanks to everyone else for their helpful reviews, and the Best Buy sales person who helped me narrow down my choices. I'm totally blown away by this tv, it's like I'm watching tv for the first time ever.

We upgraded from a Samsung Plasma HDTV to this 50" 4K model primarily for the picture quality, which is amazing. What we didn't expect was how much we would use all the 'smart' features included with this model - we primarily use Apple TV and assumed we'd just keep doing that, but the features and ease of use for the Samsung keep is coming back - it even includes many apps be features that Apple TV doesn't have, channels and apps that we didn't even know we wanted, until we tried them.

Picked this up the Saturday Night before Black Friday.
~30 days later ... so far so good.
TV Set is working well and provided a great set of features for the price.
At first the wife was thrown by the picture quality and was ready to return it, or go use the older (and smaller, and darker) TV set in the other room. Turned off the motion blur so Film looks like Film instead of Video (google Soap Opera Effect) and we were both much happier with the picture quality.
Also used with a Video Game system and the game mode helps the picture pop nicely.
Note that for all its pluses, anyone buying it should know it is only a 60Hz refresh rate, not 120Hz (only major drawback that I am aware of so far).

4k is extreme clarity, much beyond regular HD, and it takes some getting used to. Films tend to look like 3D video tapes, if there were such a thing. Watching familiar material becomes a brand new viewing experience. The picture is definitely fabulous and, in many cases, stunningly vivid.. The speakers provide excellent sound despite facing backwards, so no need for sound bar in a medium sized room. Blue tooth is very handy for headphones. The negatives are 1. You cannot turn captions on and off with a single click two. It takes about eight. 2. You cannot change the aspect ratio on many items. Most streaming items appear with very wide views, so 4 inches on the top and bottom of screen are blacked out. That's about 30% of the viewing area missing. 3. The web browser does not accommodate Adobe Flashplayer, which much web video uses. 4. I can't pause something streaming to look at broadcast TV and return. You to reload the streaming content. 5. I really dislike the e-manual. It never seems to lead me to the answer I need. 6. TV guide programming descriptions are very limited and using the guide itself is cumbersome. . Note that this is my initial evaluation after 5 weeks of use.

So I bought a 4K LG set before this on a whim...what a mistake. All sorts of smart TV issues stemming from their poor system and WiFi. Samsung on the other hand has this locked down. Smart TV functions perfectly and is super easy to set up. The picture is great and I love not having to have wires to the set. 4k Netflix shows look amazing.

I really don't watch too much TV ... until I got this! Honestly, the main reason I purchased this was because I had moved into a new place and needed a slimmer TV that I could mount on a wall - you know, something that all of my furniture could point at. Well I can definitely say that the amount of time I spend watching TV has increased because this thing is so purdy (translation: pretty). I don't have cable and just watch Netflix and Amazon but I would consider getting cable again just so I would have more things to watch - yep, its that nice. And very easy to set up - plug and play and you are ready to go. I wish they would provide you with a qwerty remote but that's the first world problem that I will deal with later. Get this TV - you won't be disappointed.

This is my first UHD television. It doesn't disappoint. Good picture, sound and the added SMART capabilities are a nice feature. apps list is lacking a bit, and the fact that the browser won't support flash is annoying, but I can just use my chromecast if I want to surf the web on TV so it isn't a big deal.

First I wish I never UN-boxed this TV. I have not had a TV in 20 years, but decided to get one because I missed watching football.
The TV picture is very beautiful and watching Blu-Ray videos is, wow.
I can mirror my LG V10 phone and Samsung Tab A to the tv without problems
I like that I can hook my Bluetooth headsets up to the tv and also stream music to the tv.
My laptop is wired in but using Microsoft Wireless Adapter worked flawlessly to mirror my one laptop, better then direct wifi did. Much better.
Sound is as good as you can expect with a TV.
Over the air channels come in pretty good and this seems to do much better than a friends TV did, in my place. I think the tuner works pretty good.
What I don't like:
I don't like giving up privacy rights for the smart hub so I did not setup that part of the tv.
The remote is sluggish and the light doesn't stay on very long so get used to hitting wrong buttons every once in a while.
Finally I am not a fan of the Samsung Extra that pops up in the corner of the screen. There should be a way to disable that.
Overall, this is a beautiful picture. No ghosting when watching Blu-Ray using 4K cables.
If you want a beautiful video experience and want to mirror other products, have Bluetooth audio, this is a solid TV.

The picture is crystal clear. It is loaded with features, and the price was better then all the other places. Samsung smart hub handles all the HBO go, netflix, amazon prime and usb switching with one button. The best feature is the sound. No need for a sound bar. I did my homework and for the money this TV is a good deal. You won't be sorry.
