PICTURE IS DARK

Adjustments found on the internet lighten the picture but it is sti, IT IS NOT BRIGHT. ll dark. My cable remote is unable to sync with the TV so I am forced to use 2 remotes to change volume and/or channels. Picture quality when it is a bright scene is good.

Thank you for your feedback on the CU7000 picture quality and functionality. I know you have tried some adjustments, but I will put a few below in case you have yet to try them.
First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, if your TV's colors are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.
For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.
Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
Regarding your cable remote syncing to the TV, I recommend you contact the specific cable company for instructions on syncing correctly. You can, however, use your Samsung TV remote as a universal remote. To do so, connect an external device to the TV's HDMI port and then power on the external device. Your TV will automatically recognize the device when connected through HDMI and will switch the output. If it doesn’t automatically detect, press Source and select Universal Remote to continue the setup process for the Universal Remote.
