    Do Not Buy This TV!

Do not buy this TV -- the worst we've ever owned. Was a loyal Samsung buyer, but not any more. The sound goes out with ANY loud noise. If you're watching a movie and there is an uptick in sound (e.g., sudden noise, car crash, loud music), the TV speakers crackle for a split second, then the sound goes out. It even went out on a scene with a waterfall due to the sound of crashing water! The only solution to get the sound back is to unplug the TV and plug back in. And forget scenes that are dark (e.g., at night, in a dark bar, etc,). The picture is so dark, you cannot make out the images. Terrible! If you're not unplugging and plugging in the TV, you're wondering what is happening during any dark scene. We've tried every sound and video option -- and updated the software -- but nothing fixes the issues. We ran the internal diagnostics (sound and video) it says everything is fine. A piece of junk. DO NOT BUY!

      Hi Sara,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung CU7000 TV. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your TV installation.

Please know that we do not include wall mount screws because not every wall will require the same type of screw. Each customer’s mounting situation can be very different, requiring specific screws to ensure the best, most secure fit. A generic screw type included in the box might be inappropriate for a customer’s wall; the result could be the customer inadvertently mounting his TV insecurely.

For your CU7000, you will need 4 x M8 screws, 20-22mm length, and 1.25mm pitch. The 20-22mm listed l is not the screw length. It’s the wall mount thread depth in the TV chassis. Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length.

If you cannot find the fitting screws, you could use washers (supplied with the wall mount) to adjust the length.

If there is anything we can do to further assist and improve your user experience, please do let us know by contacting Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

      Hi ColinH,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture and sound quality of your CU7000 TV. In addition to the several picture modes on your TV, you may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if your picture is not to your liking.

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

To change the Sound Mode, go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode.

You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings.

      Hi there,

If there is a protective film on your screen, it will be indicated with a large blue triangle in the upper left corner. The triangle will have an illustration showing how to remove the protective film.

If you do not have a blue triangle in the upper left corner, then that means there is no protective film on the screen, so please do not try to peel off anything. You will damage what is actually the screen.

      Hi NancyC,

      1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.

      Hi Jeffriy,

We appreciate your purchase of the CU7000 TV. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the Wi-Fi connectivity. I have a few recommendations which should help with this issue.

First, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.

Next, I recommend you try the following:

      1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
      2. Try wired LAN if available
      3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router

Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

You can enable automatic updates for convenience.
Go to Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. If you continue to have issues, please give us a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Hi badong,

Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume. There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.

      1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.

      2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.

      3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode

Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
