We used a Roku stick initially, but had to return it (thank you, Geek Squad!) because it kept malfunctioning. For the past couple of weeks, we have been trying to use the TV on its own, with the apps from the Samsung app store. More than 3/4 of the time, there’s at least one issue with the picture quality, launching apps, buffering, etc. But, typically, multiple issues occur anytime we try to watch TV. Will be buying a new streaming device and will not be replacing this TV with another Samsung whenever that time comes. This TV replaced our last Samsung (also covered under our Geek Squad plan), a similar predecessor, which died after about 3.5 years. Really not impressed with Samsung, and would rather spend more money for a competitor’s better product.

To ensure performance is fully optimized, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.
Next, I recommend utilizing the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.
